Real-time monitoring and seamless integration enhance deployment efficiency
The main disadvantage I see is the limited awareness of Nolio Release Automation in other organizations. It is a very nice tool, but its market presence is limited. I heard from the organization that the licensing cost was somewhat expensive. Perhaps focusing on marketing efforts would be beneficial. It is a really nice tool, and I am unsure why many organizations are not using Nolio Release Automation. It is one of the greatest tools for continuous deployment, yet its popularity remains limited. Some organizations are not aware of its existence. This might be an area worth researching and potentially developing new marketing strategies.

Reasonable price, simple to deploy, and does everything we want
We're a DevOps team., and its use case is deployment. That's the only thing it does. Our version is relatively recent Deployment is valuable. It deploys well. You've got to jump through a few hoops to get some things configured, but if set up, you can do so many different things in it. So, there…

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Their products are near the market, they cover everything that we need on the customers’ side, and their products also get frequently upgraded, so they keep apace with new technology and new stacks."
"One standout aspect is its architecture. We can configure multiple instances on a single server using different system names or usernames."
"Its benefits to us are of pulling our project together and making us more efficient."
"It is very customizable; it's very easy to use, to be able to actually put the product together, to build those different workflows that we needed to build; and also with its ability of having the technical staff."
"It's a lot easier to deploy software through CA than using a manual process or through GPOs."
"Deployment workflows has not only increased the confidence in the release process, but also opens up a whole new world to automate the deployment for not just code, but DB, network appliances, application servers, and AWS."
"We've integrated it with our ticketing system to automatically trigger deployments and update tickets accordingly, saving a lot of manual effort."
"The benefits: we are able to deliver more, our release volume doubled but our release window went down by 80% so we deliver more and faster."
"This has always been our choice for continuous product development."
"Deployment is valuable. It deploys well."
"It's a deployment tool; it does one thing, and it does it well."
"The rollback feature has been most valuable; we can write scripts from scratch, and Octopus maintains an independent package for every deployment."

"The UI is very intuitive."

Cons

"How the product could really improve is when we were actually given the product and started to implement it, we were looking to CA to provide best-case scenarios. But because we're so unique, we had no templates to work off of."
"I think the biggest complaint that we've gotten from the development side is that the user interface, the experience is not as good as they'd like it to be."
"It’s not scalable; we can never deploy this in an HA environment."
"Of course, we need to test this more, but I want to see much more seamless integration between Release Automation and CA Service Virtualization or DevTest."
"It does not support integration with Jenkins for .Net"
"We found the technical support to be very low level."
"To visually find a particular process, flow or action, the GUI needs to be improved, and also made faster as well."
"Some of the existing action packs still have bugs which need to be fixed."
"This solution could be improved by making it easier to divide variables in YAML file or JSON files."
"There could be scope for more integration with other platforms."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Nolio is a pretty much good tool, though its pricing is relatively high in the market. It's more expensive than other tools."
"I don't know the exact cost, but it's not exorbitant. It may be a couple of thousand dollars a year or something like that. I'm not sure, but it's reasonable. We get value for money out of it."
