Real-time monitoring and seamless integration enhance deployment efficiency
The main disadvantage I see is the limited awareness of Nolio Release Automation in other organizations. It is a very nice tool, but its market presence is limited. I heard from the organization that the licensing cost was somewhat expensive. Perhaps focusing on marketing efforts would be beneficial. It is a really nice tool, and I am unsure why many organizations are not using Nolio Release Automation. It is one of the greatest tools for continuous deployment, yet its popularity remains limited. Some organizations are not aware of its existence. This might be an area worth researching and potentially developing new marketing strategies.

Pros

"Their products are near the market, they cover everything that we need on the customers’ side, and their products also get frequently upgraded, so they keep apace with new technology and new stacks."
"Without CA Release Automation, there's no way we could deliver that level of code to our end-customers."
"It has reduced deployment times from nearly a couple of hours to around a couple of minutes, especially on production environments."
"We are confident that by running Nolio across all our environments, we will reduce times for complicated deployments from two hours to twenty minutes, enabling us to maintain our competitive edge and reduce operational costs without compromising security."
"It's a lot easier to deploy software through CA than using a manual process or through GPOs."
"The graphical view of when you're writing flow is the most valuable feature."
"It is very customizable; it's very easy to use, to be able to actually put the product together, to build those different workflows that we needed to build; and also with its ability of having the technical staff."
"This product has become invaluable in terms of saving time and improving time to market."
"This product is excellent for deploying components and running processes related to deployments."
"Our organization has already improved by quite a bit by taking out so much manual intervention from multiple people doing the deployments."
"Centralization of our deployment process Unification of our nonprod and production deployment process"
"It is very easy to make a software release. It used to take us at least a couple of hours to make a release, now we went to production with a new one last night. This new release took me five minutes."
"It used to take us at least a couple of hours to make a release, now we went to production with a new one last night, and this new release took me five minutes."
"Customer Service: Perfect. IBM has one of the best customer services."
"There are several most valuable features for us: Automation of deployment processes for all our projects, it's user-friendly enough for our development team to access and use on a daily basis, and the lead approval process is one of the unique features in it that can't be found in any other automation tool."
"Getting the deployments automated adds a lot of value."

Cons

"Technical Support: 7/10 because they can be more efficient to solve issues, and you always have to prove that the issues don’t come from your infrastructure but from the product."
"In the next release, I would like to see more features to use active directory. And more rules to support more Python scripts and to work with Kubernetes and clouds, to have an easy solution for a lot of parameters."
"The learning curve for this tool is somewhat steep."
"Can Nolio make a coffee.........."
"In the next release, I would like to see more features to use active directory. And more rules to support more Python scripts and to work with Kubernetes and clouds, to have an easy solution for a lot of parameters."
"Scalability also got better over time. It was not scalable when we started with it."
"It is an expensive tool and the licensing model is difficult to sell."
"To visually find a particular process, flow or action, the GUI needs to be improved, and also made faster as well."
"We have encountered scalability issues. We did not scale particularly well."
"Upgrading an existing Urbancode Deploy server is unfortunately quite tricky, as many of the migration scripts for the database need patching and fixes based on the specific customer install."
"More out of the box plugins are required though good number are avaialble at the moment."
"Technical support is bad."
"The solution is stable. When multiple deployment jobs are triggered at once, the solution logs the second job until the first is completed. This could impact performance or progress because the solution gets stuck in a holding pattern."
"There are also many bugs in UrbanCode Deploy."
"We're running version 4.8.4, which isn't the latest version. This version lacks reporting, which may be improved in the latest version."
"They need to reduce the footprint and improve the performance of UD agent. If the agent runs for too long it can cause a memory issue on the production server."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Nolio is a pretty much good tool, though its pricing is relatively high in the market. It's more expensive than other tools."
"Considering COVID-19, the price is too high."
"The licensing fees for this solution are based on the number of servers that are being deployed and the number of agents that you have."
"The cost of the solution is high but it offers great ROI."
