Privileged access has become centralized and streamlines multi-client audits and compliance
The best features we can highlight are privileged password vaulting and automatic password rotation, just-in-time privileged access, and session monitoring and recording. These features together stand out because they significantly reduce credential exposure, enforce least privilege access, and provide full auditing visibility across multiple client environments, as we are a service delivery and IT service delivery company with multiple customer environments and access. We rely most on just-in-time privileged access with credential vaulting. It is easy for the team to use day-to-day because access requests and approvals are streamlined and automated. Credentials are never exposed and sessions are automatically logged. After initial setup, adoption was smooth and it fit well into our existing operational workflows without adding stress to our operational team to adapt to the new technology. One Identity Safeguard has strengthened privileged access security across our multiple client environments. We have seen a reduction in shared credentials and unauthorized access. We have also seen faster approval for admin tasks and improved audit readiness. It has streamlined compliance reporting and reduced the operational risk of managing multiple client environments manually. Implementing this solution, we have reduced privileged account-related incidents by thirty percent. We have also cut manual password management time by nearly fifty to sixty percent. Just-in-time access has sped up admin task completion and improved our overall compliance reporting, allowing audits to be completed nearly half the time compared to earlier.

A stable solution that provides data protection and employee monitoring features in a single console
If a person wants to use a DLP product, they must know what data they want to protect and how to block, allow, and monitor data. We will not have any issues if the policies are correct and the user is authorized to perform the actions. Uninstalling is also pretty quick. Overall, I rate the solution an eight out of ten.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The Transparent Mode is the number one advantage of the product."
"All the features are promising, but we love the reporting feature because we can get each and every report. That's a major compliance requirement. Its reporting is really amazing, and it has made life a lot easier."
"In terms of the user experience, it is a pretty useful product. It works in a good way."
"The most unique and valuable features are the upstream and downstream throughput capacities; the Safeguard platform provides agile integration. In actuality, all the features are valuable. They're good, user-friendly."
"The scalability of One Identity Safeguard is perfect, scoring ten out of ten."
"It offers high availability and enables end users to deploy the solution with 99.999 percent uptime, which is crucial in an enterprise environment with a large number of endpoints."
"We have limited the possibilities for malicious actions and have made it safer for our users when they are using privileged accounts."
"The extensible framework for authentication is one of the most valuable features. We use an MFA plug-in and a lot of different factors, depending on what the business use-cases are. And of course, the auditing functionality is also valuable."
"The product provides data protection and employee monitoring features in a single console."

Cons

"We have feature requests and would like to see the turnaround times on those features to be faster."
"The areas for improvement in One Identity Safeguard would be the UI and UX, meaning the admin console can be more intuitive for complex policy and workflow configuration."
"Support for One Identity Safeguard could be improved because sometimes the support team doesn't have an answer or solution for some bugs. A feature I found in a competitor would make One Identity Safeguard better, and that is the ability to load balance the traffic in the target."
"The main thing that needs improvement is the slowness. Apart from that, the change password check-in feature also needs improvement because it is not working perfectly accurately."
"I just received a question from a customer in regards to a connection with Oracle OID. I tried to integrate Safeguard with the Oracle YAML as well as something else to manage the groups and users from a different system, like AD or LDAP. This one feature could be better. At this moment, the platform system can only use the integration with LDAP or AD. The software for research and development to create a connector to a YAML platform can be very complicated."
"The high availability function of the box requires a long time to switch over from one appliance to another."
"There is a lack of documentation and many problems with the plugins."
"Some of our users find the functionality a bit complex, and it could be made more user-friendly."
"The user experience should be improved."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"We bought their other products, so it was not that expensive. It is one of those where the more you buy, the cheaper it is."
"The pricing is about $80,000 per 100 servers. There are few elective costs."
"The license is around $3,000 per month."
"As compared to other products, it is reasonable, but the training sessions are too expensive."
"Safeguard is cheaper than CyberArk."
"They offer a fair price for a robust solution."
"Its subscription cost is too much, and sometimes, it is very difficult to pitch the solution to the management for cost approval. If the cost is reduced a little bit, it would be easier. If its cost was less, many other organizations that currently cannot afford it would be able to use this technology. I'm sure many organizations around the globe are having issues with identity management, and it is a very difficult task for IT to manage privileged accounts."
"It is a bit on the pricey side, but you get what you pay for. You don't want to get anything too cheap because then you get cheap stuff and cheap support. That really never helps anybody."
