A stable and scalable hybrid solution with easy setup
The solution is scalable. It has three levels. You have the presentation area that can be escalated to the balance sheet. You have the back-end area that can be escalated using higher viability to configure more application servers. Also, the area of storage can be increased. We usually cater to enterprise solutions but have small- and medium-sized customers. It starts with 25 users and goes up to 100s and 1000s.

Strong endpoint protection has simplified compliance and reduced effort for large user environments
One of the best features of Trellix Endpoint Security Platform is its endpoint security, and I have been using it for the last four and a half to five years, so I can say this is one of the best EDR endpoint security solutions I have ever seen. The features that make Trellix Endpoint Security Platform stand out for me are ease of use and analytics, which I really appreciate the most. Trellix Endpoint Security Platform positively impacts my organization, ensuring we are compliant with SOC 2, HIPAA, and all other compliance requirements, so there are no issues with that.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Data Recovery: Its ability to repair damaged partitions and uncover hidden partitions from within the tool, and allow further analysis."
"I like the processing feature on the product because it does everything at once, i.e, indexing, recovery, keyword searches, etc."
"It speeds up the process, so I can meet my deadlines."
"The most important feature we've found is the Enscripts. That is one powerful feature that I, personally, love to use."
"Image creation and image analysis in one program, basically for ease of use."
"Using Encase we are able to implement security and also Forensics."
"The technical support is excellent."
"It indexes much faster, and is more reflexive because of the Enscripts."
"The most valuable network security feature is the network sandbox solution. This sandbox feature works on traffic flow."
"The thing that I like is that they have gathered almost all the products in one management server, the ePolicy Orchestrator."
"I have found many of the features to be useful."
"The most valuable features are reporting from the ePO console and the advanced threat protection (ATP)."
"This gives us a more secure and completely scalable zero-day model security product to the endpoint."
"It is awesome working with Trellix Endpoint Security Platform every time and every day; it makes work seamless, faster, and saves time."
"The threat scanning is excellent. It uses predictive technology and I can utilize attack data to help us fine-tune our systems and network infrastructure. This protects us against current and future attacks."
"The solution provides a data view of the Alpha systems with Trellix installs and makes small changes to the central management console. Nothing on the endpoints themselves works, but it focuses more on the management side."

Cons

"The reporting is a bit unreliable. It needs to be better."
"We have come across problems with the end-case. We could not find an email discovery type of module and there was not flexibility with the email."
"In the past, incident response time for tech support was slow."
"I would like to see a capability to ingest and absorb more data. That would be really good. It currently is lacking this function."
"Ease of use and learning curve need improvement."
"From a customer service standpoint, this is unacceptable."
"I suggest that if the mobile phone acquisition is embedded in the Encase law enforcement version, it would be very useful."
"This is not the program I would suggest for a newbie using to learn. It is just too expensive for the full experience, and the student versions, while very good, are just for that, students."
"The reports need more development. They need more details on the reports and more details taking the executive view into consideration."
"Some agents become old and then they don't communicate well any longer."
"The solution takes up a high amount of memory and can cause the system to hang."
"On the next release, they should build an easier way to see a repair option within the McAfee icon on your system tray. If there was an issue, you should be able to contact the user or just right-click on "repair". That would be a very good feature to add. That could be a place of improvement, just adding that button, or customizing it."
"The solution has problematic encryption, which needs reforming."
"The stability of the solution was not very good."
"Sometimes when it runs in the background of the endpoint, the devices get slowed down for some software applications."
"We experienced some bad behavior when we first installed the product."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"We have a license. And, we found the cost high. We contacted them and talked to them about the ratio of the US dollar versus the Indian rupee and then we came to a solution."
"EnCase is an affordable solution."

"The pricing is more or less the same as the other tools in the market."
"I don't think there are any extra expenses besides its licensing costs."
"The current pricing is much better than before because they now offer product-related promotions along with some changes in product licensing. The new pricing model is better than before."
"There are some extra expenses for using the product, in addition to licensing related to the maintenance of the product."
"The product pricing is high."
"McAfee's prices are flexible and can be quite competitive, although there are other solutions that are even more so."
