A stable and scalable hybrid solution with easy setup
The solution is scalable. It has three levels. You have the presentation area that can be escalated to the balance sheet. You have the back-end area that can be escalated using higher viability to configure more application servers. Also, the area of storage can be increased. We usually cater to enterprise solutions but have small- and medium-sized customers. It starts with 25 users and goes up to 100s and 1000s.

Strong endpoint protection has simplified compliance and reduced effort for large user environments
One of the best features of Trellix Endpoint Security Platform is its endpoint security, and I have been using it for the last four and a half to five years, so I can say this is one of the best EDR endpoint security solutions I have ever seen. The features that make Trellix Endpoint Security Platform stand out for me are ease of use and analytics, which I really appreciate the most. Trellix Endpoint Security Platform positively impacts my organization, ensuring we are compliant with SOC 2, HIPAA, and all other compliance requirements, so there are no issues with that.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"It is a very useful tool; it is worth buying irrespective of price."
"The most important feature we've found is the Enscripts, as it allows me to customize the scripts and deploy them as and how I need them, for example to segregate and index files efficiently."
"The most important feature we've found is the Enscripts. That is one powerful feature that I, personally, love to use."
"The solution has been quite good, and, overall, the features we need are available to us."
"It speeds up the process, so I can meet my deadlines."
"Using Encase we are able to implement security and also Forensics."
"It indexes much faster, and is more reflexive because of the Enscripts."
"The technical support is excellent."
"It is a stable solution...The solution's technical support is good."
"We really like the dashboard from Trellix and we've found that it's pretty informative."
"My experience with McAfee is very good. They give excellent support, they are proactive to solve issues, and willing to integrate their products."
"It offers good flexibility, has a small footprint, offers a minimal effect on performance, and is from a trusted brand."
"The platform’s most valuable features are ease of use, integration, and deployment."
"I would recommend this solution to others."
"Trellix Endpoint Security's dashboard is very flexible, and I can create my own user-specific dashboard depending on user privilege or preference."
"For those who can't afford expensive cybersecurity professionals but are responsible for configuring the security of the organization, MVISION Endpoint is a good product to go with."

Cons

"This is not the program I would suggest for a newbie using to learn. It is just too expensive for the full experience, and the student versions, while very good, are just for that, students."
"We have come across problems with the end-case. We could not find an email discovery type of module and there was not flexibility with the email."
"Sometimes the application can take more time to complete the image processing or fail at the end of the process."
"In the past, incident response time for tech support was slow."
"The reporting is a bit unreliable. It needs to be better."
"Ease of use and learning curve need improvement."
"I suggest that if the mobile phone acquisition is embedded in the Encase law enforcement version, it would be very useful."
"From a customer service standpoint, this is unacceptable."
"The solution needs to improve its virtual patching capabilities. One area where it could improve is by offering a patch management solution bundled with its security products. This would make it even more competitive against solutions like Kaspersky that offer this feature."
"Technical support is an area that can be improved because sometimes, the response time is a bit slow and the explanation is short."
"We had a very large problem that has, unfortunately, not been solved. Simply put, when we start the computer the program will not start."
"Malware detection can be better. It doesn't have support and detection for the recent malware, but it has a compensatory control where it can do the behavior-based assessment and alert you when there is something malicious or unexpected. For example, when a certain user is executing the privilege command, which is not normal. These dynamic detections are good, and they compensate for malware detection."
"We have a lot of problems with the user experience and it's difficult to implement."
"It would be a lot easier if I could add multiple user accounts within a single device."
"We would like the solution to offer better security."
"In some cases, the detection part was not accurate enough. We even had some incidents that were not detected."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The product is affordable and user-friendly."
"EnCase is an affordable solution."
"We have a license. And, we found the cost high. We contacted them and talked to them about the ratio of the US dollar versus the Indian rupee and then we came to a solution."
"We have a license. And, we found the cost high. We contacted them and talked to them about the ratio of the US dollar versus the Indian rupee and then we came to a solution."
"MVISION is intended as an enterprise product and it is priced like one. This solution is within the price range of competitors at the enterprise level."
"The pricing is reasonable."
"The price of McAfee is pretty similar to Symantec, and there are no costs in addition to the standard licensing fees."
"We had a discount when purchasing the solution because of the size of our company and we are happy with the price."
"Licensing fees are paid yearly."
"Compared to Bitdefender, Trellix Endpoint Security is more expensive, but considering it comes with DLP, the solution's price is fine."
"Customers would need to purchase a license. If a customer purchases an MVISION Endpoint license, he may use that license to install ENS. It's a flexible license where you have the option to either use the McAfee security software or the Windows Defender managed by McAfee, which is MVISION Endpoint."
"The price of the solution is fair, we have a complete security package."
