Facilitates process integration across departments but requires better pricing and broader feature adoption
The most valuable features I find in Oracle BPM include a unified process management platform, human workflow management, and process simulation and optimization. I see that it is integrated with other ERPs. If you integrate it with human HRMS workflow management, then it will provide integration with HRMS for Oracle E-Business Suite and for process analytics and business.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"What I found most valuable in Oracle BPM is that it has a lot of out-of-the-box integrations, and the solution also provides a lot of adapters which is very helpful."
"One of the most valuable features of Oracle BPM is the workflow itself, as it is quite intuitive."
"Oracle BPM is easy to use for both the business and developers, and Oracle BPM's tool for service and application integration is the best on the market to accomplish this."
"It is easy to use in a business processing suite."
"We built solutions based on this product in pretty much all domains, from retail to banking and finance, communications and utilities, and various industries (namely, the aerospace industry), as well as public sector, from applications, which deal mainly with approval processes and auditing needs, to a full blown Service Management ERP for a large retailer."
"The Workspace is a full, rich application where most users can find what they want. It shows them a list of their work."
"It is quite scalable and can be applied to enterprise-level organizations effectively."
"The default Workspace does not meet all our needs and sometimes you need to create your own custom Workspace."
"The most valuable feature of SoftExpert BPM is its ease of use."
"A complete project management suite in one integrated package."
"We promote the use of this product because it's integrated and has a very nicely designed program, simplifying our workflow and the workflow of our clients, which saves time and money for everyone while making us more productive."

Cons

"Support for Decision Modelling Notation (DMN). There is a Business Rule Engine available, but this is not DMN-compatible."
"The solution's licensing cost is very high."
"Oracle BPM is hard to configure and requires some experience to use it."
"The overall pricing of the product is around $1,000 per user, or the licensing of Oracle BPM will cost around $50,000 plus."
"Oracle BPM has a lack of vision and is very complex to develop and maintain."
"Their Case Management set of features is severely lacking and should be a target for immediate improvement dealing with unpredictable processes inside of organizations."
"Although it is a robust product, its learning curve can be steep without having the proper training and mentoring on the first project."
"Pricing is an area that could use improvement."
"I would like for them to incorporate artificial intelligence and be more intuitive."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The pricing is very expensive."
"Oracle is good, but they're still expensive compared to other vendors."
"The licensing model is good."
"The pricing is significantly high, particularly for Brazil where fluctuations in the exchange rate between the dollar and the real can further increase the cost of Oracle licenses."
"The licensing for this product is very costly. We pay for a yearly license to use Oracle BPM."
"I don't have information on the exact cost of Oracle BPM because a different team handles that, but it's pretty high. Oracle products are very costly. I would rate pricing for Oracle BPM three out of five. Though the pricing is high, the solution has a lot of features."
"This solution is very expensive. You are charged per license and an additional 20% for support."
"It's pried high, this solution is expensive."
"The price of SoftExpert BPM is not expensive."
