Cloud platform has supported cost control and database integration but still needs better metrics and storage
I have not used Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)'s networking solutions today. I studied it somewhat, but it is not my main area currently. We had some problems sometimes with Autonomous Database in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), for example, in the past months related to the asset of the metrics. We found problems related to what we wanted to show to the customer about the database because many metrics were missing. We usually worked together with members of Oracle Italia to ask them to introduce some metrics, for example, those that do not work correctly about CPU usage, memory usage, or network usage. There were some metrics in Oracle Autonomous Database in dedicated infrastructure that did not allow us to show correct information to the customer. We usually needed to ask Oracle Italia to introduce some metrics or clarify metric usage. In some cases, they showed incorrect data in the output, so we had to work with them to solve this problem. I am speaking about problems from approximately one year ago, so I do not know if they have fixed all of it now. One problem I faced in the past with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) was also related to documentation. Sometimes there are differences between Oracle Autonomous Database usage on shared infrastructures compared to dedicated infrastructures. When searching for documentation, it is not clear if one aspect or solution is usable in both technologies or on both shared and dedicated infrastructures. I found some documents proposed for Autonomous Database and then discovered that the case was applicable only for shared infrastructure, not dedicated. Oracle Italia explained to me that Oracle Autonomous Database on shared and dedicated are different products. However, I do not understand why if I have the same version of Oracle in both architectures, I cannot have access to some tools or internal packages in both technologies. We usually had to ask them to introduce also in dedicated infrastructures the use of some Oracle PL/SQL packages, some internal packages, for example, for the management of queues. Another aspect is that the storage of Oracle is not very user-friendly. In Autonomous, for example, where I think an autonomous database should manage storage correctly on its own, my experience is that often we have many allocated storage spaces that are free, but it is impossible to reclaim. We need to expand storage and pay for it, even though it is free. I think that regarding the internal management of storage, Oracle can improve.

Real-time behavior insights have transformed support automation and boosted conversion rates
Several aspects and features require improvement. I believe an easier setup and faster onboarding is required because Session AI is already powerful, but the initial setup feels somewhat complex for new users. The configuration of rules and integration may require technical understanding, and the team often needs support during the early implementation. I would prefer a more guided or template-driven onboarding experience that would help teams become productive faster. I think a more transparent AI decision explanation is needed because the system makes real-time decisions. Sometimes it is not entirely clear why a specific action is triggered by Session AI, and there is limited visibility into AI reasoning in some cases, making it harder to debug or fine-tune strategies. I would like to see in the future a clear explanation of why a decision was made by Session AI, which would enhance trust and optimization for customers. Enhanced reporting and visualization are needed because while real-time actions are strong, deeper post-session analytics could be improved. More granular dashboards for business users, better visualization of journey impact over time, and easier comparison of campaigns or segments are required. I would prefer a stronger analytic layer for long-term strategy insights. Regarding integration support, I think a deeper and faster integration is required because the experience can be improved further by the enterprise ecosystem. If integration requires additional configuration efforts and real-time data sync with external platforms, it feels as though it can sometimes be optimized. A broader plug-and-play support from CDPs and CRM tools and the analytic stack would help customers. I want to see a more extensive integration marketplace with pre-built connectors and a simpler setup flow, reducing implementation time and effort. The support is generally helpful, but the resolution time for advanced and edge case issues feels as though it can sometimes be improved. Basic queries are resolved quickly, but complex workflow or integration issues may take longer to troubleshoot. Proactive guidance during implementation would be valuable, such as adding dedicated solution engineers or faster escalation paths for enterprise customers to enhance the experience. To make Session AI perfect, I believe that areas including onboarding and setup can be improved for initial users. Integration could be smoother, and reporting can be enhanced for long-term insights. These are improvements that would make it a perfect 10 out of 10. The performance, monitoring, and debugging tools could be better because when multiple real-time strategies run simultaneously, it sometimes feels difficult to trace performance issues. There is also limited visibility into how individual rules impact latency and outcomes, and debugging complex decision workflows requires effort. An improvement could be a more advanced real-time monitoring dashboard for rule performance, latency, and impact tracing, which would help the team optimize faster.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The functionality of these platforms is the same, but the performance of this solution for IAM is better."
"Apart from the licensing, there's support from Oracle Cloud Platform which improved our day to day operations, time is reduced, and based on this service we are able to scale up dependent applications as quickly as we can."
"I find the interface to be great."
"The flexibility is most valuable, because by having our infrastructure in the cloud we are able to spin up instances as needed and alter the capacity as needed, and everything is working as we expect it."
"The feature I think should be improved is the option to rename the machines."
"The initial setup is a little complex in terms of understanding what's required, but once we know what the business is looking for, it's easy to implement in the cloud."
"The most valuable features of the Oracle Cloud Platform are good visualization and analytics, and the solution is very well integrated with predictive analytics and forecasting, with features that go beyond the traditional reports and visualization."
"It's a very robust solution, especially for the environment that you move onto the cloud."
"Session AI has definitely impacted my organization as well as my personal workflow very positively."
"We have observed approximately a 15% to 25% improvement in conversion rates after implementing Session AI."

Cons

"There is room for improvement for stability."
"What I'd like to see from Oracle Cloud is an option for the customer to have a single portal to manage and monitor not just Oracle Cloud, but some of the on-premise products in the hybrid scenario as well. If it can be shipped out as an out-of-the-box solution, that would be wonderful. It's not so easy, but for a company like Oracle, it shouldn't be a problem. Many customers go through a lot of effort and burn money to achieve this, so it's an opportunity for Oracle to provide it for customers looking for this type of solution."
"Oracle Cloud could be improved with better third-party integrations."
"I work with many clouds and I would say, in comparison, others have a better presentation of services and they have clearer steps in terms of implementation."
"The roadmap from Oracle is quite unclear."
"They could add more features."
"Simplifying the cloud management console would be really valuable for small and large customers alike."
"Database instances and computer storage are areas with shortcomings in the product that need improvement."
"While my experience with Session AI has been largely positive, there are a few areas where the platform could improve further."
"Several aspects and features require improvement. I believe an easier setup and faster onboarding is required because Session AI is already powerful, but the initial setup feels somewhat complex for new users."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The price is fair, but we have to manage it to keep it low."
"There is a subscription cost rather than licensing for this product."
"I would rate the tool’s pricing a ten out of ten since it is expensive."
"Oracle Cloud Platform's pricing is comparable to other solutions, but it is definitely not cheap."
"The price of the solution should be reduced to a price that people can afford."
"The solution is overpriced."
"We pay the subscription cost."
"Pricing needs to be improved."
