The product is user-friendly and performs well, but it is very costly compared to other tools
We are a software development company. We recommend solutions to our clients, but they ask us to compare it with other solutions. Clients compare the monthly costs of Pantheon with other servers and ask us to create the same environment in dedicated servers. If Pantheon reduces its cost, we can confidently suggest it to clients. Overall, I rate the tool a seven out of ten.

Consistently beneficial with excellent accessibility although support's response time needs improvement
The features and functions of the SAP Cloud Platform are very good; the performance is improved when compared with the older versions. Earlier, we were using Oracle DB, and after HANA DB migration, it is fine. We are getting the reports, and processing time is also reduced. Almost all the features of the SAP Cloud Platform are fine and good. SAP Fiori has also entered into the picture, and we are developing the Fiori apps. We have started with the BTP for the new innovations as per the SAP roadmap. The main benefits of the SAP Cloud Platform for us are that earlier we had the primary data center at our place, but now we have shifted to the cloud. The maintenance is free for us; the maintenance is completely done by this SAP partnership with Cloud4C. We have started using the SAP Analytics Cloud, and we have developed many applications for SAP SAC. We are going to give the presentation to our chairman most probably next week. The analytics features positively influence decision-making for us. The SAP Cloud Platform has been effective for us because the processing time is reduced, and we can access it easily.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Pantheon has the most valuable workflow model."
"The product allows users to create multiple development environments."
"It’s easy to maintain, as everything is handled by SAP."
"The most valuable features of the SAP Cloud Platform are the extensions and integrations. Additionally, there are a lot of AI-based microservices."
"The most proficient feature of SAP Cloud Platform is integration for data services linked with Fiori apps."
"Feature-wise, I like it since it allows you to integrate with multiple applications. There are available connectors that allow you to integrate."
"The tool's most valuable aspects are the niche technologies and the latest editions. The way these updates are rolled out makes it easy to manage because clients and customers are not responsible for keeping everything up to date. It's SAP's responsibility, which makes it much easier to take advantage of the new features they roll out every month."
"The product captures data in real time."
"The maintenance part can be outsourced easily."
"It’s very easy to use and integrate, especially with other SAP solutions."

Cons

"The Multidev environment is very costly compared to other tools like AWS and GCP."
"When I started looking at the client's IT architecture, I started by doing a study of their services, DVM, data volume, and management services. According to the results, they could be a lot better at this."
"I would like for it to have integration to GitHub."
"They are still developing this product. It does not really have 100% of the necessary features available to properly service business clients."
"The product needs improvement for serverless native integrations. They should opt for serverless features as all the customers worldwide choose cloud-based products."
"We need to connect our ERP solution via the VPN. We need to make sure our ERP solutions aren't exposed to the outside world. Our teams really struggle with this."
"This product needs a lot of improvement and should be simplified."
"The solution’s pricing could be improved."
"SAP offers very little flexibility in its licensing structure."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The platform has reasonable pricing compared to other systems."
"SAP Cloud Platform is expensive. It can be quite costly."
"SAP offers yearly, subscription-based, and pay-as-you-use licensing."
"The solution is worth the money."
"SAP Cloud Platform is an expensive solution."
"I discovered that the SAP Cloud Platform is affordable, contrary to the impression that it's expensive. The pricing for extra packages or messages is quite reasonable, especially for things like message throughput and processing."
"SAP's pricing is usually high compared to the competition. But this is also justified because they hold their products and services to quite high standards."
"On a scale of one to ten, where one is a high price, and ten is a low price, I rate the pricing a six or seven."
"The price of the solution depends on the package that is purchased. There are many packages to choose from. The packages are not overly expensive."
