Centralized collaboration has transformed API testing and documentation across multiple teams
In terms of improvement, the UI can sometimes feel heavy for larger collections in the workspaces. Additionally, performance may slow down with complex API projects, and pricing can be expensive for smaller teams. However, it is quite suitable for bigger teams. Other areas for improvement include better reporting and analytics dashboards, and more advanced native test environment features could enhance workflow, with smoother offline support and sync handling. Additionally, better performance for very large collections would be helpful, along with more intuitive navigation for enterprise-scale workspaces, stronger reporting analytics, easier management of permissions across large teams, and more flexible automation and testing report options would be beneficial. Small usability and performance improvements would make Postman Enterprise even more efficient for larger organizations. Postman Enterprise needs better performance optimization for large enterprises, more detailed analytics user reporting, improved API governance and audit visibility, simpler permissions and access control management, faster sync and loading times for larger collections, and more advanced built-in testing and reporting capabilities.

Helps to ensure security and improves message deliverability
MuleSoft seems to have certain advantages over Spring Edge. Mulesoft covers more use cases, while Spring Edge is lightweight. The use cases mentioned revolve around integration capabilities. It can handle more integration. On the other hand, while offering some plugins for integration, Spring Edge is portrayed as more focused on communication tasks.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The most valuable feature of this solution is Collections, which perfectly suits a microservice factor, and the workspace is very useful because you can save configurations in their cloud so that you can access them from home or at the office by logging in to the same account without having to recreate them."
"The most valuable feature of Postman is the verification and testing of APIs."
"What is most valuable for me is that we can create and share collections between the team members."
"It is stable and does not lag."
"It definitely increases the quality of our deliveries because we are able to test our APIs before moving them to production."
"The solution is stable."
"Postman is easy to use and enables us to test all possible API testing scenarios."
"We use it for REST API testing. Feature-wise, it is pretty lightweight. It is pretty fast, and we don't have to do a lot of things. We can just simply go and post our endpoint, and it gives different kinds of authorizations. We usually use authentication 2.0, which is the most common industry practice. So, it has the support for authorization through 2.0."
"The tool helps to ensure security. It helps with notifications and messaging. We have seen improvements in message deliverability."

Cons

"During the development phase, you will face issues, but once it goes to production, you won't face such issues."
"Postman needs more advanced data-driven testing."
"If there is any way to have a record and playback feature through UI, as we do in Selenium and IDEs such as Eclipse, it would be great."
"I think they could make version management easier and release it when it comes to container-based or Docker-based architecture."
"Testing API is pretty straightforward in Postman, but it falls short when testing web services. For example, when we test web services, there is a visual component that we can import in SoapUI but not in Postman."
"Multi-part requests should be handled in the octet-stream subtype which provides responses in chunks for files that can be downloaded and viewed."
"I think Postman Enterprise can be improved in the way that it has many features that are spread across all the screen."
"UI testing needs to be added to the solution."
"MuleSoft seems to have certain advantages over Spring Edge. Mulesoft covers more use cases, while Spring Edge is lightweight. The use cases mentioned revolve around integration capabilities. It can handle more integration. On the other hand, while offering some plugins for integration, Spring Edge is portrayed as more focused on communication tasks."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"We use the open-source version. They introduced a new licensing model where your company must subscribe to their services if you're using it for business purposes. However, I think they charge too much if you're only using the basic features. It limits what your organization can do if you're not a paying customer."
"I use the tool's free version."
"We are currently using the free version, but we have plans to buy a license."
"The solution's price is reasonable."
"We are using its free version."
"The solution is free for individuals, but for companies that use it across the organization, you have to pay per user."
"I rate the product's price a nine or ten on a scale of one to ten, where one is cheap, and ten is very expensive. Postman is an expensive tool for Turkey."
"We do not pay any money for Postman."
"Spring Edge's pricing is reasonable."
