Centralized device management has transformed security and streamlined remote provisioning
One area where Microsoft Intune can improve is the user interface. Sometimes the portal feels a bit complex and not very intuitive, especially for new users, and it can take time to find specific settings. Another point is troubleshooting. While logs are available, the diagnostic policies and sync issues can still be time-consuming and not very straightforward. I also feel that reporting could be more detailed and customizable. The built-in reports are helpful, but for deeper insights, I often need to rely on additional tools. Overall, it is a strong solution, but improving usability and troubleshooting experience would make it even better. While Microsoft Intune works very well within the Microsoft ecosystem, the integration of some third-party tools could be smoother and require less customization. Support is another area that could improve, as sometimes response times can be slow, and resolving complex issues may take longer than expected. In terms of features, I think more advanced automation and built-in remediation options would be helpful since common issues can be fixed automatically without manual intervention.

Hybrid platform has strengthened patching and vulnerability management and provides reliable HA
Red Hat Satellite has an HA setup that we use in regular VMs. We can enable Pacemaker, resource agent, and syncing all Red Hat own VMs together by node by node, with replicated three nodes at one time. This is the best feature I have ever used in Red Hat. Red Hat Satellite definitely removes vulnerabilities. It gives us errata so we can fix our bug fixes, and it is very convenient to us. It helps a lot because in a normal ISO, we do not have bug fixes. On Red Hat portal, Red Hat Satellite gave us the vulnerability before it came to become a vulnerability. That is why it is a very practical thing.

Migration streamlines processes while real-time monitoring opportunities remain
The migration feature of vCenter Configuration Manager is the most loved feature so far. This particular feature is valuable because it is vendor-oriented and works with VMware, which makes your life easy. Regarding system reliability, it is helpful. When you design it for the process, it will help you minimize the downtime, and it will help the reliability of the system. vCenter Configuration Manager has impacted my organization positively, but it's not fully deployed yet; we only use it for one or two tasks, and our team goes back to using the vCenter itself. However, further on, maybe we'll find a use case that will help us use the configuration manager.

"The most valuable feature is the management of the distributed tool we use in the Red Hat Linux Servers."

"All of these features serve different purposes and are very useful."
"vCenter Configuration Manager is the best tool for centrally managing resources"

Cons

"The security features should be improved."
"There are challenges with Intune, specifically in reporting. Many third-party companies offer single-pane-of-glass reporting that shows you what your update environment looks like, how your patch is doing, application status, etc., but Intune's reporting is not intuitive."
"I think nine is a very good rating for this solution, and I kept one point out because I think in the future it requires improvement based on future scalability in the IT infrastructure."
"Microsoft Intune could improve by being more user-friendly and having it geared toward device management. The graphic interface is not very good."
"I'd like some more reporting so that I don't have to delve into PowerShell and I can pull more of the local device information such as memory, apps installed, etc. It would be nice to be able to see the apps that are present there but might not be managed. For example, if they installed 7Zip, it could report that back via an installed program or feature to see what was currently installed."
"The reporting and troubleshooting experience for Microsoft Intune could be more detailed and easier to navigate, especially when diagnosing policy sync or device compliance issues across large environments."
"Some enrollment features could be improved."
"The only issues I have had with Microsoft Intune were with applications where if they are not an MSI file, I cannot really upload it as an application."
"I would like the direct integration with insights to be re-established."
"It wasn't easy in the beginning, and some effort was required to work it out. I already had the product documentation, but it was not well organized. It wasn't easy to follow. There were a lot of documents here and there."
"Red Hat Satellite has a short life cycle and we constantly need to update."
"Migration from one version to another should be simplified further. Although improvements are underway, customers still find migrations a complex process."
"I hope to see improvements in integration capabilities within Red Hat Satellite in the next release. Integration exists currently, but it requires programming knowledge to utilize the APIs effectively. This process is complex and not straightforward for those unfamiliar with the APIs."
"There could be a feature to simplify the process without the requirement of any patch manager subscription."
"Migration from one version to another should be simplified further."
"Automation can always be improved and refined to continue to make it better."
"The technical support could be faster."
"Configuration Manager's reporting could be better. I need to use a third-party reporting solution to get the details. They could add reporting features similar to RVTools."
"The reporting could be improved."
"The solution could provide even more capacity."
"There are some complexities within the system center. For example, we use two different applications for updates and the deployment of the machine. We also have another third party solution."
"The platform's certificate management functionality can be challenging, along with troubleshooting when issues arise."
"The technical support is not bad. It is good internally for our organization, and we are not facing any problems now. We have not taken platinum support, so our teams that are operating from the client site will have to wait longer to get their problems fixed."
"The solution could provide even more capacity."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Microsoft Intune is not cost-effective as a standalone product."
"I don't have any problem as far as cost is concerned. It is bundled with our license."
"The purchase of the product was handled by someone else."
"The price is reasonable, but they should lower it a bit to make it more competitive. It's cheaper than AirWatch and other products, but I still feel like Microsoft can make a base version or with Exchange online or a la carte only Intune version which will be useful. A customer who doesn't want to go full-fledged E3 or E5 can take out or consume an Intune solution only for their purpose, and we want to target that customer."
"We are partners, so we receive some discount. However, from the customer's perspective, Microsoft Intune's pricing is competitive with non-Microsoft technology, and the price is good compared to other market competitors."
"Intune is available as an individual product, but it also comes with Office 365 Premium or an Enterprise license, and the price varies for each version."
"I liked the tool's pricing until P2 came into effect. I am unsure about the current value versus the cost of the new licensing model."
"I am not that aware of the pricing, but as compared to other MDM solutions, Microsoft is providing a lot of things at the organizational level. So, it is quite reasonable as compared to other MDM solutions."
"Red Hat Satellite is a little bit of an expensive product."
"Red Hat Satellite is expensive, but if we have more than 50 or 60 VMs, we cannot do away with the solution."
"Red Hat Satellite is expensive."
"The tool's pricing is high."
"The licensing depends on the number of servers."
"The product is very expensive for our customers."
"For us, Red Hat Satellite's pricing is between cheaper and moderate."
"Its price is good. They call it subscription, not license, and it is on a yearly basis. There is only one subscription, and that's it."
"The pricing is mid-range so I rate it a six out of ten."
"It is an expensive solution."
"There is a free license for the standard version. Their enterprise version is expensive. I would advise starting with one server and working your way up as you go. The enterprise version provides support."
"vCenter's pricing is reasonable, but nowadays, they are drastically increasing their prices, which is pathetic."
"The solution comes with three-year support. We have to renew the support annually after the three years are up."
"This product is not cheap. I have a yearly license for vCenter and the license is not cheap."
"The price of the solution is too expensive for us and we are looking to move to another solution."
"I am not knowledgeable with the pricing of the product."
