The first feature that stands out for me in Dremio is the federated type of query, which allows the possibility to use multiple endpoints without worrying about writing custom SQL that runs only for SQL Server or for Postgres and Redshift.
Dremio enables the creation of services without extra resources and integrates with storages like Amazon S3 and Azure Data Factory. It supports data management with data lineage and a federated query feature for multiple databases. However, it lacks Delta connector support, faces performance issues with complex queries, and offers limited integration with tools like Databricks. Users may also encounter challenges due to differences in SQL syntax compared to SQL Server.
