GajShield Next Generation Firewall helps us with security solutions and platforms. It helps us configure the network. The solution also helps us with redundancy in case of failure.

A single device provides us with lots of functions. The solution's outcome is very high, and we often use it in a very high-traffic environment. GajShield Next Generation Firewall is very easy to learn. The solution simplifies the management of complex data networks.

Sometimes, we have to use SD-WAN support for the solution, which can be improved by adapting some features that will help our approach to network services. The solution can adapt some of the tools where we, as network engineers, can adjust to the changing application needs. Also, the solution can provide us with multiple support, allowing us to create a network segment.

The solution’s technical support could be improved.

I have been using GajShield Next Generation Firewall for four years.

GajShield Next Generation Firewall is a stable solution.

Around 10 users are using the solution in our organization.

We previously used Fortinet.

Installing the solution is not difficult, but it is time-consuming because it requires a setup command to be completed.

GajShield Next Generation Firewall is not that expensive, and its pricing is better than Palo Alto.

I would recommend the solution to other users because it allows network administrators to define and manage network policies based on the application's specific requirements. This approach is abstract, but the network service and configuration are away from traditional devices.

Overall, I rate the solution a seven out of ten.

We use it for internal data traffic on our data center. It has terminated any traffic on that firewall.   

A major issue at the time of deployment was with HA. We've just been exploring the HA part and VPN. There are also VPN issues in another project. So, there can be room for improvement in ease of usage of the product. 

Another area of improvement is support. 

I have been using it for two or three months now.

It is a stable solution. Some bugs are there. In another project based in Lucknow (India), they faced some integration issues. They wanted to integrate some SIEM tools. At that time, they weren't able to integrate the SIEM. They asked the TAC support for a report, and then GajShield developed some software. After that, it's working properly.

I would rate the scalability a five out of ten. It's scalable, but not as much as FortiGate.

However, GajShiled's scalability is okay for medium-sized projects; it's nine out of ten.

We have around 20 to 25 endpoints using this solution. It is a small organization using this solution. 

The customer service and support are good, but in some cases, like technical support, we've faced issues. We raised a support ticket, and we didn't get a proper response.

There was a skill issue in TAC support. However, one of the engineers we got resolved the issue well. 

However, my colleague working on another project didn't receive much support from tech.

FortiGate is user-friendly and comfortable to use. A single engineer can deploy FortiGate. Documentation is readily available online, and the features are readily accessible and functional. It's easy to deploy compared to GajShield. As of now, FortiGate is much easier and more comfortable to use.

It's easy to deploy. It's a good product, actually. Not that bad. As of now, it's a good product.

But some improvements are required because the HA part needs improvement. For every new interface, we have to break the HA, and that should not be because my traffic gets disturbed. So, HA is the most important part and needs improvement. 

It is easy to deploy. It's not required that much time. I just prefer it's in our plan; one hour is required to comply.

However, some licensing parts are taking time. License activation and all that. It's a new product for us, so it's taking some time. But deploying is easy. One-time deployment is easy, but I have no idea about the operation part. 

So, it's easy to deploy, not that difficult. Excluding the HA part only. Otherwise, it's a good product too.

We are partners and system integrators. We are MSI, and we work mostly on smart city and data center projects. We have deployed projects in two smart cities in India. 

The day-to-day activities and handling are done by another engineer. We have just deployed this firewall, and the deployment process was a major issue.

An experienced person can deploy easily. One person is enough for the deployment. One experienced person who has worked with another firewall, like FortiGate, can easily deploy GajShield.

In my three months of experience, it is easy to maintain. 

GajShield is a cheaper solution as of now. The subscription is yearly.

Only the license and subscription are included. The license part is there.

Before buying the product, you should review the specifications carefully. It depends on your specific needs and requirements. 

As of now, GajShield is not as mature as some other solutions, but it's rapidly improving. It's a good option for mid-range needs. In the next year or two, it will offer even better results and be comparable to solutions like FortiGate.

The performance really depends on where you are deploying the solution. For the projects we've deployed in smart cities, I'd give it an eight out of ten. 

The solution can be deployed on the cloud or on-premise.

We are using GajShield Next Generation Firewall for data leak prevention. We have a certain group of users who have restricted access and this is done with the solution. We are a 100 percent American subsidiary in India and our office is connected to the headquarters. We connect using the VPN through the firewall to the servers.

The most valuable feature of the GajShield Next Generation Firewall is the user-friendly settings, dashboards, and anti-threat protection. Additionally, the solution upgrades frequently which is good because we receive new features.

GajShield Next Generation Firewall could improve the flow of the settings. If somebody's using a Cisco firewall or any other brand and they want to use GajShield Next Generation Firewall the platform's UI is a bit different. If it was more similar to the others it would be better.

I have been using GajShield Next Generation Firewall for approximately four years.

GajShield Next Generation Firewall is highly stable and reliable. I have not faced an issue in the last four years.

The scalability of the GajShield Next Generation Firewall is good, but it depends on what model I have. There are many different models available. If I need to have more users I can purchase a model that can handle more. A physical device would allow me to have more users.

We have approximately 150 users using this solution in my organization and out of the 150, 54 of them on sitting in the office.

If I create a ticket with the support they will answer within one hour. Their knowledge and response time is good.

I rate the support from GajShield Next Generation Firewall a five out of five.

I have previously used Linksys and Cisco. The main difference between GajShield Next Generation Firewall and the other solutions is the UI. I find the user interface of Cisco the best, it is more user-friendly and intuitive.

The initial setup GajShield Next Generation Firewall was complex. The rule engine and all the setup were complex.

I rate the deployment of GajShield Next Generation Firewall a four out of five.

I did some of the implementations myself but in other parts I used assistance.

The price of the GajShield Next Generation Firewall is very attractive when compared to other solutions.

We are paying approximately $68,000 annually for 200 users. Everything is included in the license, such as DLP.

We only need to reboot the system for maintenance, there is little maintenance required.

If people are looking for a good solution that is priced well this solution is best.

I rate GajShield Next Generation Firewall an eight out of ten.

My company's clients use GajShield Next Generation Firewall since its user-friendly and stable interface. It is a bit cheaper than a product like Fortinet, and the support is also good.

My clients who use the product have never faced any downtime while using the solution.

We face issues with some configuration parts that we don't understand in the solution, and sometimes we face issues with the VPN connection. In the aforementioned scenarios, the product's support team helps our company.

Configuration and upgradation parts are difficult in the solution and need to be improved. Sometimes we are required to upgrade the firmware, and configuration is required to update the firmware, for which the support team helps and guides us so that we don't have to call them the next time we face a similar scenario.

In the future, GajShield needs to start looking into the pricing aspect whenever there are renewals of all their software. Functionality-wise, GajShield is the same as Cisco and other products. It would be great if GajShield could integrate itself with the cloud as well as a mobile app so that we can manage it sometimes from the mobile if we have small things to do.

I have been using GajShield Next Generation Firewall for six to eight months. The product works well, and I haven't faced any issues till now. My company serves as the system integrator for GajShield Next Generation Firewall, and we have installed the product in two places.

It is an easily scalable solution. If anything comes up, then we have a regular backup. If anything comes up, we have a ready setup available. We haven't had any issues till now.

Whenever we have any issues, we always call support, and they offer remote help and support. Whenever we send a mail to the support team, we get a reply within five to ten minutes. The support team always guides us on the mail that follows these steps and sorts out our issues.

I have previously worked with Fortinet. I prefer GajShield over Fortinet because GajShield provides better support than Fortinet.

The initial setup was very easy.

A simple installation for a normal firewall takes an hour and a half. If the installation consists of VPN and other stuff, then it takes time.

Myself and an agent were required for the deployment phase since sometimes, if we are doing the configuration, we need somebody to go and check on the user's machine.

The solution can be deployed on the cloud, but we maintain the firewall physically. For minor things like port forwarding, we have access from outside and a secure port, so we have access either way.

My company was involved in the installation phase, and we contacted the support to help us with one or two things that we couldn't figure out by ourselves.

GajShield Next Generation Firewall is cheaper than the other products in the market. The licensing costs for the solution are on a yearly basis. Our clients can choose for the renewal or adoption of any new version or product from GajShield.

One or two people maintain the solution. Once it is configured, it is very stable, and we don't get any calls from our clients unless they have some specific requirement, like port forwarding or something.

We go whenever our clients call us for any maintenance-related work.

I recommend others to use the product since I always go for it instead of FortiGate or other Cisco products.

Overall, I rate the product an eight to nine out of ten.

I find DLP the most valuable feature. Moreover, Gajshiled's enterprise cloud and DLP-level features give it an advantage over other products. These features are not present in Sophos and Fortinet. 

GajShield can improve SD-WAN compatibility at an enterprise cloud or DLP level. If the servers have DLP content, it will be better.

Moreover, there is room for improvement in the support. We have faced some issues and bugs and could not stabilize the solution. Moreover, overall performance is 80% stable, but 20% is not.

I have been using GajShield for around one year. I work with OEM and work with different versions. 

There seem to be some problems with the support team. For instance, when I encounter issues with the antivirus software services being stopped for multiple organizations, I call the support team for assistance. However, there have been instances where I have not received adequate protection from the support team.

Before GajShield, I worked with Sophos and Cisco environments.

Deployment was not a problem. However, we face some troubleshooting issues with VPN technology, where we need to make many configurations.

I faced some problems when I tried to establish an IPSec VPN tunnel between FortiGate and Sophos, GajShield, and other products. The security measure's different performances did not match.

It can be deployed on either the cloud or on-premises. I have deployed it for multiple premises and customers. 

Overall, it's reliable as per the OEMs like Fortinet, Sophos, and GajShield. The price is reasonable as per the market. The basic license model starts at INR 20,000. 

Overall, I would rate the solution an eight out of ten. 

For a recent ERP implementation, we wanted secure connectivity for users who are going to connect via mobile devices to the ERP server. We wanted secure connectivity, that's why we opted for a firewall. The ERP vendor, who is willing to provide support services, we wanted to provide secure connectivity for them also. With VPN-based connectivity, the ERP technical team can provide technical support for any technical issues that we face.

Right now, within our company, there are about ten users who use this solution. Currently, our usage is very limited, but over time, I think the usage will grow. 

GajShield has improved our mobile device-based connectivity. As I mentioned, we want to provide a secure connection to the ERP server. The second improvement relates to the technical support from the ERP vendor who has developed the product. If they have to provide technical support, then they should be connected through a VPN.

The firewall configuration and administration screens could use some improvement. 

I think the UI screen has to be a lot simpler and smarter for firewall administration. They should also build a smarter alert mechanism in case of any unauthorized access. Basic alerts are there, but I think they could be better. First and foremost is the UI configuration screen. Some screens are good, and some screens are not that good. The UI for the administration of the firewall needs a lot of work.

I have been using GajShield for the past couple of months.

We have been using GajShield for the last couple of weeks. So far, we haven't had any issues — It has been performing well. Over time, we'll come to know how stable it truly is.

Depending on the size of the company and the number of users, GajShield offers different models. Since we were looking for an entry-level model, we opted for the model that suited our size. GajShield also provides firewalls for large-scale environments, suitable for thousands of users.

Technical support was included in our bundle. They will be providing us with support for the next three years.

The initial setup was not very complex. We were expecting a basic setup. The basic setup took roughly two days time.

No, we did not implement this solution ourselves. Their vendor team helped us with the implementation and configuration of the GajShield firewall.

We wanted an entry-level product because our requirement is only a 10 to 15 user setup. I was initially comparing GajShield with Sophos, as Sophos also has an entry-level firewall. GajShield also provides equal configuration and price-wise, it was about 15% cheaper compared to Sophos — that's why we opted for GajShield. Our requirement was not highly complex from a security standpoint. That's why we opted for a simple solution based on the GajShield firewall.

Overall, on a scale from one to ten, I would give GajShield a rating of eight.

There are tier-one vendors, tier-two vendors, and tier-three vendors. Personally, I don't consider GajShield to be a tier-one vendor. It is a tier-two vendor. In short, I would not compare GajShield with Cisco, Check Point, or Fortinet because those are very advanced products. 

As far as tier-two products go, I could only compare GajShield with Sophos. They are about the same, specification-wise. Although I got GajShield for 15% less than the price of Sophos, if they were the same price, I probably would have gone with Sophos. Obviously, the UI is much better in Sophos, but, I think the pricing was the most important deciding-factor in our buying decision.

GajShield Next Generation Firewall's best feature is the network DLP.

GajShield Next Generation Firewall would be improved with the addition of a load-balancing feature.

GajShield Next Generation Firewall is very stable - its performance is good, and I haven't had any issues with slow hardware or firewalls hanging.

GajShield Next Generation Firewall is scalable.

GajShield's technical support is a little slow, but they do respond with steps to fix the problem.

The initial setup was complex as a result of the firewall policies - you need to write multiple policies to deploy connections for the internet.

GajShield Next Generation Firewall is reasonably priced. I pay 2.5 lakhs for a hundred-user firewall, including hardware.

I would give GajShield Next Generation Firewall a rating of eight out of ten.
