What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
The platform has supported our business scalability and growth over time by enhancing productivity and expediting processes. It enables us to respond to customers more quickly and reduce order lead times, resulting in higher customer satisfaction and improved margins.
I rate the scalability a nine out of ten.
How are customer service and support?
The technical support services are good.
How was the initial setup?
The Infor team creates the instance, so the initial setup is straightforward. For a mid-sized organization, the software would be deployed in a maximum of three months.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
The product is expensive. I rate the pricing a five out of ten.
What other advice do I have?
We store all customer information and transaction details within Infor CloudSuite CRM, which is also integrated with our ERP system.
It has significantly impacted our sales and marketing strategies. It is a transactional system with features like workflow management and document control capabilities. This integration allows seamless communication and collaboration between our field teams, engineering, and sales departments.
While integrating with Infor ERP systems is relatively straightforward, connecting with third-party systems may require technical assistance. It is possible to integrate with external systems with the necessary technical support.
I advise others to look at the digital transformation tools in addition to the CRM. That will bring higher value.
I rate it a nine out of ten.
If public cloud, private cloud, or hybrid cloud, which cloud provider do you use?
Amazon Web Services (AWS)

Is stable, quick and easy to install, and has excellent technical support
Pros and Cons
- "Infor CloudSuite Industrial is easy to setup. The built-in solution is already there, so we can start implementing it right away when we install it in an organization. After going through different test executions and workshops, any missing features can be added using Infor extension tables and other products. It will take at least eight to nine months to go live."
- "Planning needs to be improved. That is, industry-specific planning details need to be added and refined."
What is our primary use case?
It is used to handle the different demands of a specific industry such as the chemical industry. CloudSuite can handle the requirements for producing the main product, byproducts, and co-products. It can also handle subcontracting to a third party to conduct operations outside the factory.
What needs improvement?
Planning needs to be improved. That is, industry-specific planning details need to be added and refined.
For how long have I used the solution?
We've been using Infor CloudSuite Industrial for three years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
It's a very stable product. If we need any bug fixes or enhancements, Infor will add them through different patches and deployments on a monthly basis or on a quarterly basis.
How are customer service and support?
I have been able to get the help I needed whenever I have contacted technical support. I would give them a rating of eight out of ten.
How would you rate customer service and support?
Positive
How was the initial setup?
Infor CloudSuite Industrial is easy to setup. The built-in solution is already there, so we can start implementing it right away when we install it in an organization. After going through different test executions and workshops, any missing features can be added using Infor extension tables and other products. It will take at least eight to nine months to go live.
What other advice do I have?
Infor is suitable for medium-scale industries across different verticals. You can reach out to Infor or their partners. On the basis of your requirements, they will be able to make recommendations.
Infor CloudSuite Industrial is definitely a stable product, and it should be a very smooth process. I recommend going with CloudSuite.
On a scale from one to ten, I would rate this solution at nine because it is quick and easy to install, enhancements or bug fixes are easy to implement, there are frequent updates, and Infor's support is excellent.

The operating system and environment are powerful, but the documentation is poor
Pros and Cons
- "Infor's environment—ION and Infor OS—is better than SAP's. The load time is shorter and Infor performs much better than SAP."
- "Infor needs to work on its documentation. For example, if I need to create a business object deployment from LVN to element, the instructions for this are insufficient. Many specific use cases aren't covered in the manual."
- "Infor OS is powerful, but the documentation is terrible."
What is our primary use case?
We use Infor CloudSuite as an ERP solution for manufacturing.
What is most valuable?
Infor's environment—ION and Infor OS—is better than SAP's. The load time is shorter and Infor performs much better than SAP.
What needs improvement?
Infor OS is powerful, but the documentation is terrible. This is one of the biggest problems. Infor needs to work on its documentation. For example, if I need to create a business object deployment from LVN to element, the instructions for this are insufficient. Many specific use cases aren't covered in the manual.
If you don't know or have someone to teach you about it, you will spend a lot of time learning it. They need to have a manual and some tutorial videos online. Infor should create video and images walking you through the process step by step. The documentation is poor compared with SAP.
CloudSuite Industrial also needs to improve its IoT product for working with machines. Right now, you need to use another product for that. It is not well done because Infor doesn't seem to understand that ERP needs to work with many things. In particular, Infor needs better integration between CRM and IoT. It's not bad, but it could be better. Infor specializes in artificial intelligence, and that's it. Its approach isn't working very well for some clients. I think SAP is doing a better job than Infor at this point.
For how long have I used the solution?
We've been working with Infor for about 15 years, but we've only used CloudSuite for around three.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
CloudSuite Industrial is stable. The problem isn't the product itself. It's how the clients use it. The biggest problem is how clients customize CloudSuite, especially when they're migrating to the cloud. They often customize it poorly. One day, when they go back to the cloud, they will have massive problems.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
CloudSuite is highly scalable.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
I've worked with SAP. SAP is better than Infor in terms of financial management, but I prefer Infor for production and supply chains.
How was the initial setup?
The initial setup of CloudSuite isn't complicated.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
I'm working for a German company, but I'm located in Portugal. In the German market, Infor's price isn't an issue for clients, but Infor is losing market share every year to SAP in Portugal. Portuguese clients find SAP more affordable. Infor needs to work on this.
Before Infor implemented this cloud solution, it was strictly a solution for large and medium-sized enterprises. CloudSuite has made it more affordable for smaller companies, but it's probably still too expensive for some. I think CloudSuite can work for small companies with 10 million euros in annual revenue or more, but I think it won't work for anything less than that.
What other advice do I have?
I rate Infor CloudSuite Industrial seven out of 10.
Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

Flexible and stable, with good traceability, which is important in industries like food production
Pros and Cons
- "We did some research and chose CloudSuite because it has the flexibility to cover a range of areas. And there were many other factors like traceability, for example, which is crucial for food production."
- "If you are working in the food and beverage industry, I would say it's a perfect solution."
- "Pricing is always an area where there is room for improvement."
What is our primary use case?
This is a production factory, so CloudSuite is used for bookkeeping, warehousing, and financial production.
How has it helped my organization?
CloudSuite has been helpful because we are using it in many countries too. If any of the companies have their own solutions, it affects the information flow. If you all have one solution and it's international, then the information flow is real-time.
What needs improvement?
There's no one feature or process that needs to improve. I couldn't give you an example because all of them are important.
For how long have I used the solution?
We started using CloudSuite Industrial, so it's been about 12 or 13 years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
This is cloud-based, so the stability is only affected by the connection.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
It's hard to say because the owner of the product is the only one who knows exactly what the scalability is. But based on what I can see from the patches and updates, the scalability has been seamless. In total, there are about 3,000 end-users on the platform.
How are customer service and support?
I have no complaints about Infor support.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
Of course, we considered some other solutions. We did some research and chose CloudSuite because it has the flexibility to cover a range of areas. And there were many other factors like traceability, for example, which is crucial for food production.
How was the initial setup?
Installing CloudSuite is incredibly straightforward. At the very beginning, we had help from the solution's Vendor. Deployment took about a week, excluding the preparation phase, which lasted about a month. And the number of people needed to deploy varies from company to company. If you are a big company, the number of people involved will be bigger than in small companies because you have to cover all areas. So there was quite a big group of consultants and also several teams on our side.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
Pricing is always an area where there is room for improvement.
What other advice do I have?
I rate Infor CloudSuite Industrial nine out of 10. If you are working in the food and beverage industry, I would say it's a perfect solution.

A complete wave management system that increases processing efficiency but requires hands-on experience
Pros and Cons
- "It is a complete wave management system to increase processing efficiency."
- "CloudSuite came out on top."
- "It takes time to properly learn what the product can do."
- "It required more time than I had with it to learn it well enough."
What is our primary use case?
We were using Infor WMS for operational management in a product warehouse.
What is most valuable?
It was a complete wave management system to increase processing efficiency. For awareness, they were using wave management cycling. That feature was very good.
What needs improvement?
Nothing much as comes to my mind as being negative or that needed to be added to the product. It was a pretty good solution for us. It required more time than I had with it to learn it well enough.
For how long have I used the solution?
My experience with the CloudSuite WMS (Warehouse Management System) would be about for a year or so. It was on-premises when I was hands-on with it. I was involved with it from a functional perspective and not from a technical perspective.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
The stability was good. There were not many problems that you faced in working with the product.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
The scalability of the product was good. It was pretty easy to scale it and to add more processes into it.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
When it came to choosing CloudSuite, we had several products on our shortlist. For example, there was SAP WM and there was Manhattan WMS — there were pretty much four or five are tools that we were considering. It was more of how solutions fit our given requirements. So it was about costs. It was about functionality. We tried out the available options. CloudSuite came out on top.
What about the implementation team?
The installation and setup were done by a technical team from within our company. I was not in a place to notice any challenges in setting it up and I heard nothing negative about it.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
The pricing, from my understanding, is something that is not built on a standard model.
What other advice do I have?
I think that people who are considering CloudSuite should use it because that is the wave of the future. If you are not there using the CloudSuite, you are not keeping up with a lot of your market.
On a scale from one to ten (where one is the worst and ten is the best), I would rate CloudSuite as about seven-out-of-ten.
To make it score higher I probably have to get more exposed to what it can do. It is a seven because that is as far as I have been able to discover the inner workings of the product. If I get more hands-on time with it, I may be able to improve on that rating.
Which deployment model are you using for this solution?
Private Cloud

A bit more than our original budget, but once you learn to use it, you can see why it's well worth it
Pros and Cons
- "Mainly, we pushed back a $7M plant expansion because we were able to increase throughput with our existing facility."
- "Customer Service: Infor is impossible, but if you have a good reseller partner, they can handle just about any issues."
What is most valuable?
In this case, scheduling and product planning were key drivers of ROI, but the overall step up in technology, user interface, and usability were very valuable.
How has it helped my organization?
Visibility across six buildings and 14 process lines were the #1 goal - determining parts completion dates, tracking QA issues, and just finding out where in production we were with a specific part was a full-time job for several people.
What needs improvement?
- Better planning
- Better visibility
- Streamlined staging
- Raw materials inventory awareness
For how long have I used the solution?
Two years.
What was my experience with deployment of the solution?
It was difficult, mainly due to the plant floor guys were used to a 12 year-old technology, various whiteboards, and dated approaches to rely on paper travellers, etc.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
No.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
No, the system was sold to us at the current user level, and was quite adequate to handle our operational load with no problems.
How are customer service and technical support?
Customer Service:
Infor is impossible, but if you have a good reseller partner, they can handle just about any issues.
Technical Support:Very good with the reseller.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
It was ancient and didn't have half the features of SyteLine.
How was the initial setup?
The complexity was mostly on having to leave the old ways behind and work how modern software speeds up processes.
What about the implementation team?
Our reseller partner was excellent.
What was our ROI?
Mainly, we pushed back a $7M plant expansion because we were able to increase throughput with our existing facility. We will still build the new lines eventually, but we're looking back at how we designed it now that our workflow is different.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
It was a bit more than our original budget, but once you learn to use it, you can see why it's well worth it.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
Epicor, GlobalShop, Plex, NetSuite, and a couple others.
What other advice do I have?
Very pleased with it so far. We will probably get even better with it in the years to come.

Infor Ln Manufacturing Consultant at a tech vendor with 51-200 employees
Helpful to manage automation, alerts, and workflow configurations
Pros and Cons
- "It is a very scalable solution."
- "For the quality department, there is a module called quality, and I feel it has to be a little bit simplified."
What is our primary use case?
I have taken care of the tool's two full cycles of implementation. My company deals with discrete manufacturing companies, such as industrial equipment or industrial engineering equipment. Basically, the tool is used for any industry associated with discrete manufacturing and if our company is associated with implementing the tool.
How has it helped my organization?
The tool is compiled with a number of features. Infor OS is an automation, alerts, and workflow configuration tool. Infor OS is one of the core applications bundled in the Infor CloudSuite. There are other add-ons, like Infor Factory Track and Infor CPQ, which are Infor's asset management tools and also essential enterprise applications a customer can think of, in my opinion.
What is most valuable?
My customers belong to the manufacturing industry. Infor CloudSuite comprises core ERP applications, and apart from that, it is bundled with analytics tools, social collaboration tools, document management tools, and barcoding solutions like Infor Factory Track. If we specifically speak about Infor CloudSuite, I have to talk about the core ERP functionalities and modules and then the other features, like social collaboration tools, documentation, alerts, and workflows.
If I focus more on the ERP part, Infor LN is a tool that is very strong in the manufacturing domain. There is a manufacturing module that is very strong in terms of automation or features. Any complex situation can be handled. For any discrete manufacturing organization or industry, Infor LN can be implemented to manage the core manufacturing module, which is flexible, and ready to be tailored by mapping the business for any manufacturing industry. Within the ERP manufacturing module, we have revision control. We have a project management module and a sub-module. We have shop floor control and job floor controls, which are the dropdowns of the manufacturing module.
What needs improvement?
Infor has brought a new approach called the sixty, thirty, and ten approaches. This approach is called the Infor Deployment Method, which involves interacting with the customers to gather the requirements. In the first stage, we will categorize the requirements into categories, which are sixty, thirty, and ten. Sixty is the core application where no tweaking is required, so those are standard solutions. Whatever customers tell our company as a requirement, we will analyze whether this is a standard solution or a box solution or whether customization or modifications are needed, and based on that, we can categorize it. So, the majority of the customers' business processes will fall under the sixty category, meaning it doesn't need any tweaking or modifications as it can remain as a standalone vanilla tool. Slight configurations are needed when it comes to the thirty category. Some data changes, some process tweaking, some label changes, and a little bit of configuration to suit the customer requirements will be categorized into thirty categories. Whereas ten, there is another leftover ten out of one hundred percent, sixty is standard, thirty is configuration-related, and ten is unique since we have to develop and enhance according to the customer's business. We will categorize requirements and analyze the ten percent category. Addressing the ten percent requirement will be challenging because we need to customize it. Customization has been easy in ERP because Infor has introduced a new module called extensibility, where we can enhance the solution by customization without touching the core solution. The time taken to address the ten percent requirement will be challenging in terms of understanding the requirement, mapping the requirement, testing, and deployment because those are unique to each customer. Rest ninety percent, we don't have any challenges with the tool.
For the quality department, there is a module called quality, and I feel it has to be a little bit simplified. Implementation-wise, there are no challenges in the tool. When we implement the quality modules, for the end user who does the installation, the tool has to be more simplified. For example, if you inspect the product dimension, let's say the dimension is from one centimeter to ten centimeters, and if there is a criterion that the product should fall under five centimeters and seven centimeters, then it is shown. The range between five and seven cannot be given here, so the quality model should be simplified by providing the ranging facility.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using Infor CloudSuite for four years. I work for an Infor channel partner. My company sells licenses, opts for the Infor CloudSuite environment, and implements CloudSuite and other Infor applications.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Infor is putting a lot of energy into AI, enhancing and adding up new features in terms of workloads, and mobile applications, and changing your interfaces, bringing some additional look and components. Every now and then, the tool releases a patch or upgrade, which is known as a release. Whenever there are new patches, a user or company can see whether the solution is impacting their business process in terms of quality or the QA environment because Infor gives us production tests and quality environments. Whenever there is a new patch or new release, then we have to deploy that to a test environment and test it. If it is working fine, then we can directly deploy that into QA and do work to quality check and move to production. Stability-wise, it is good. Somewhere, customizations are available, and in that case, there will be some deviations. Stability-wise, I rate the solution a seven to eight out of ten.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
It is a very scalable solution. You can keep on adding another company. You can keep on adding the offices or warehouses. Scalability-wise, it is a very simple tool. If the initial company structure is set properly, scalability can be made simple. Scalability-wise, I rate the solution a nine out of ten.
If a new factory is opening in some other location, then that location and site need to be introduced. We need to do the basic configuration, settings, and all, and related to that data, the scalability can be easy in terms of setting up new tools.
The tool suits medium to large businesses.
How are customer service and support?
Though the solution's technical support is available for us and provides prompt services if there are any extensions, there is no support. There is ten percent of uniqueness we need to address in the tool in terms of customizations. In terms of customizations, one can tweak or add extensions. We will extend the solution to meet the customer's needs. If the standard solution is also not working, and if Infor's extension is there, the support doesn't support it because an extension has been added. Sometimes the standard core application will not work and it might be because of customization. In the aforementioned case, the support won't touch the tickets related to extensions. When providing knowledge with support, the support team needs to improve in terms of guiding the users or customers on how to investigate or address the issues related to the solution. The support team doesn't give the steps to rectify the issues in the solution. For example, if they are unable to do a purchase order Infor, let us say they will say you have to maintain it. They won't elaborate on their response. They should improve in providing the solution with the plan. I rate the technical support a seven out of ten.
How would you rate customer service and support?
Neutral
How was the initial setup?
The product's initial setup phase is very easy. Once a partner subscribes or procures licenses, as it is a cloud-based solution, you will be directly given a link or a URL where all the parameters for a basic company setup will already be done. Initially, there is always a golden company or a vanilla company where all the parameters are already set, and all the basic master data is already set. The customer has to go and start using the application from Infor for testing, and then implementation partners will come into the picture and schedule the customer's requirements. Based on the categories sixty, twenty, and ten categories, users will amend or modify the processes. During implementation also, there is something called implementation accelerators, which is one of the features Infor is providing for role-based processes, which were already defined. For example, if you are a warehouse clerk, if you are a production manager, what screens, what data, and what sessions are you going to use, sessions will be already bundled under that role or profile. The data will already be presented as basic master data and parameters; we will be already presenting. Role-wise, data and parameters are already there. Role-wise sessions are already a part of the implementation. There is no need to configure it, but for the vanilla company, everything is preconfigured. The process is preconfigured. What sessions we need to work on are preconfigured, and what role you have worked on is configured. The master data, the parameters, and the setup are already pre-configured using the implementation accelerators.
Once the licenses are put in place, I think it'll take hardly two or three days to position that particular customer. The only thing is that based on the module's bifurcation and the implementation part, I think it will take less than a day to implement.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
I don't know about the license fees. I feel it is not very cheap, very economical but also not very expensive. Infor also provides lots of discounts if one increases the licenses they use. It is a reasonably priced tool.
What other advice do I have?
I have not used or heard of AI in the tool. I think Infor is working on it, but I think it is not open for channel partners or users at the moment. I have not used or been introduced to AI in Infor.
For data analytics, Infor has another product called Infor Birst, which is a business analytics tool that is easy and simple and where it is possible to pull the data from the database. We can see the data in the graphical representation, like bars, bar diagrams, pie diagrams, or something like that, and so, in that way, AI is integrated into the tool. The reports and dashboards are there in the AI. With the tool, you can pull the data from the database, and you can see the reports and dashboards in a visual representation. I can see that it is AI-integrated, but I have not used it completely. I just heard about it.
Manufacturing industry, especially the discrete manufacturing industry should use Infor CloudSuite. The manufacturing metrics can take a bit out of Infor CloudSuite in terms of manufacturing. They will get tremendous results because they allow us to configure complex business processes and infrastructure. We have alerts, workflows, analytics, and user-based rules. Reports and custom reports are easy, so there are multiple advantages. In terms of technology, AI, and core ERP solutions, I rate the tool an eight out of ten.
