Malwarebytes runs on my laptop.

I never have to look at it or do anything with it, and then my system just stays clean. Exceptional malware detection and removal with a user-friendly interface. It offers lightweight performance that doesn't consume a lot of CPU. 

The behavior-based detection is very nice, and it combats zero-day threats by looking for anomalous behaviors. It's updated regularly, with new data on vulnerabilities being pushed out frequently. Focus on anti-ransomware protection is really nice, and they provide good customer support.

There are no built-in backups or integrated backup options, which could be an opportunity. The free version is effective, however, the paid version is pricey compared to it. Other customers have mentioned issues with false positives. It lacks enterprise-level management and more enterprise functionality. CrowdStrike and SentinelOne are much more enterprise-grade solutions. Malwarebytes has limited integration with cybersecurity tools and lacks enterprise integrations because it is not an enterprise product.

I have used Malwarebytes for approximately 20 years.

There has been no instability experienced.

Good customer support is provided, however, I have not contacted their technical support as it was never needed.

For my personal laptop, I haven't switched to any alternatives as I cannot purchase one license for products like CrowdStrike or SentinelOne.

The setup of Malwarebytes was easy and took about ten minutes to install one instance.

Malwarebytes is a bit pricey for some regions, such as Ukraine, since it's priced in US dollars. I prefer to use the paid version, and I am a pay-to-play person.

I am familiar with all the solutions available, however, I use Malwarebytes for personal use due to licensing issues with other solutions.

On a scale of one to ten, I rate Malwarebytes a ten.

My primary use case is that it's protecting me against malware.

The most valuable feature is that it stops malware.

They should continue to be more proactive with the threats that are getting worse worldwide. I appreciate that this solution is vigilant and proactive.

It takes up too much space when it's trying to run in the background.

I have been using Malwarebytes for six to seven years.

I used a different solution before, but it is not really relevant anymore.

The return on investment is more like an insurance policy against malware.

I really hate the automatic rebilling without officially confirming it with me. It's an annoyance and they should at least confirm with me, like a month before they bill me.

I can only speak to it on a personal level. If someone is considering it, they should test it on their own systems. I can't personally recommend it because each person has their own needs. While it may work for me as a malware antivirus solution, I can't recommend it to someone else who may have a different system or use case. 

I rate the overall solution 7.5 out of 10. Malwarebytes protects me against malware. If they fix the pricing model so it's not automatically charging me, the rating could improve. Until then, I can't give it an 8.

There are some Trojan cases that are hidden from Symantec for some unknown purpose. Symantec doesn't take action to eradicate them from the intended work sessions. So, when you run Malwarebytes on top of Symantec and perform a scan, it identifies the malware and successfully eradicates it.

The threat detection and eradication part, along with the threat response is most valuable in Malwarebytes.

We don't usually use it. We sometimes need to remove some threats that Symantec is not eradicating in a timely manner. So we're not very familiar with the expensive features of Malwarebytes, but the threat identification and eradication features are good.

The only area of improvement is that on the central manager part, the reporting is not as flexible as you would find with other antivirus software. So, reports from all of Malwarebytes could be improved.

We use it from time to time. We use it anytime we suspect that there is something on a computer with Palantir Symantec that is not identifying in time for testing, we install the free version of Malwarebytes.

It is a stable solution.

The initial setup is simply a one-click process. It's probably a quick process.

The deployment can be done in-house. We use the trail version, which is free. So, there is no license key required to activate it.

We have a company personnel that handles the deployment and distribution. We didn't need consultancy. We got the recommendation from the internet, so anyone can download and install it easily.

I would advise others on the installation process. Resource utilization is low compared to others, especially in terms of CPU and memory. It also has powerful features.

Regarding the threat detection and verification part, I would give it a nine out of ten. We only deploy it when needed, which might be once every three months.

I use the solution in my company, and I provide IT services to individuals and small businesses. I installed Malwarebytes on virtually all of my client computers.

I think the most valuable feature stems from the fact that the tool automatically updates itself and automatically runs multiple scans, but practically all of the products do that. The main thing that separates the tool from the rest of the pack, in my opinion, is that it updates itself, like, every couple of hours. Ten times a day, improved signatures will be downloaded, so it is very up-to-date in terms of malware experience. I think it is also very quiet. It just quietly sits there and does its job, and it is not in your face or trying to upsell anything to you. It leaves the users alone to do their things, and it just stays out of the way and does its job. Frequent updating and the fact that the tool stays out of the way are valuable features of the tool.

When it comes to Malwarebytes, you get a product that does its job. The tool has all the features you need, and I wouldn't think of anything that would make it better. I am a happy consumer when it comes to Malwarebytes.

My clients have frequently encountered some tech support scams where when you go to a particular website, it throws up a fake warning to you and states that you need to call this number. I think that there is an area for improvement if they could figure out a way to prevent or to keep the users safe from some of the tech support scams.

I have been using Malwarebytes for between five and ten years. I would say that it has been used for seven years. My company just helps our clients purchase the license and install Malwarebytes, so we are not resellers.

I have never had to call their tech support or anything. I just pay my money and get my benefits.

Back in the day, I used to use Norton. I have been very skeptical of Norton lately as it has too many features that I need. Norton is hard to configure, and on three or four occasions over the years, it has blocked transmission communication on the local area network, thinking that the local area network was the internet, and shutting down communication between local computers drove me crazy in the process. I checked the antivirus being used and realized that it was Norton, after which I had to turn it off.

I rate the initial setup phase an eight out of ten, where ten means it is an easy process.

The deployment is not really straightforward, and it takes some time, but I do not have a problem with it.

Only one person is required to deploy the product.

In terms of maintenance, only renewing the license every year is required.

The tool has improved our systems' resilience against malware. I remember my personal computer caught an infection called CryptoLocker, which is ransomware malware. Generally speaking, I would say it provides peace of mind. My clients' computers don't get infected very often, but I am quite confident that Malwarebytes protects them. A long time ago, I had a client who couldn't resist going to unsavory websites, and Malwarebytes would stop him from doing what he should have done in the first place.

In terms of real-time protection capability, I have had cases where Malwarebytes will stop me from visiting a website that I shouldn't, and this is obviously a benefit.

I would say the user interface is a bit above average, and it offers convenience. It may be simple for me since I am more familiar with it and since I use it so often. Compared to some of the other products, even though I don't know much about Wolf Security, I can say that with tools like Norton, for example, I look for a setting or a way to affect what Norton does, and I click on this, and that, and I can't find what I want. With Malwarebytes, the user interface seems to be fairly straightforward. None of the aforementioned products are for a naive user. You have to have a certain amount of experience with IT stuff to be able to do anything with any products. From the pack of products, I have found Malwarebytes to be straightforward to configure.

I recommend the product to those who plan to use it.

Malwarebytes's agent should be installed on the local network and the management console is from the cloud.

I was using Malwarebytes for search and attack analysis. They announced they have a total security endpoint, including EDR and endpoint protection. It is a fantastic product for protection.

Malwarebytes has improved our organization because it is very light on resources. The solution can predict and catch what other solutions cannot. It's very easy to deploy, manage, and configure.

The most valuable features of Malwarebytes are the EDR and the complete feature set provided. 

Malwarebytes can improve its network database. Malwarebytes can scan the files and registry. It can scan the system with a light agent. It will not impact the performance of your PC. You can do the full scan and database scan using the EDR, and the RAM and CPU consumption will not increase.

There are some features that other vendors have that should be in Malwarebytes.

I have been using Malwarebytes for approximately 10 years.

Malwarebytes is a highly stable engine.

I rate the stability of Malwarebytes a ten out of ten.

My vision is all the endpoints are not scalable. There is nothing to be scaled in the endpoint security itself, not in not a fault of Malwarebytes. It is the same situation with the other vendors, such as Trend Micro, Kaspersky, Fortinet, and CrowdStrike, all of them on the endpoint are not scalable security solutions.

We have 50 users using this solution in my organization.

I have not used the support from Malwarebytes.

Other vendors have local management consultants for on-premise solutions instead of the cloud. Some institutions refuse management consulting to be on the cloud. For example, banking and the government sectors, reject management consulting from the cloud. They prefer on-premise rather than the cloud.

Malwarebytes's initial setup is simple. It is easy to deploy and configure the policies and the configuration. I deployed Malwarebytes for one customer and I did it in under two days. They had approximately 50 users, it took approximately an hour.

The steps I took for the implementation were downloading the Malwarebytes management console from the site, installing it, then running the discovery tool, scanning my network, and checking all of the PCs on my network. It's already pre-configured, you don't need to configure anything. The only configuration that I did on the administration console was some of the exclusion from the scan. This is the only rule that I have created.

I rate the initial setup of Malwarebytes a ten out of ten.

I used our technical engineers for the first stage of the deployment. I prefer to be involved in all the technical cases because I want to know as much as I can about the solution. I receive a better understanding of the weaknesses and strengths. We have a total of three engineers that do the deployments. 

Overall we have seen a return on investment.

The price of Malwarebytes is in the middle range compared to other vendors.

Some customers have environments where they want certain components or bundle components. There is a basic license but there are additional add-ons that can be purchased.

I rate the price of Malwarebytes a six out of ten.

I have evaluated many other solutions, such as Trend Micro, Kaspersky, Fortinet, and CrowdStrike.

I would strongly recommend this solution to others.

I rate Malwarebytes a ten out of ten.

The solution provides antivirus, intrusion protection, web filtering, and EDR. We manage the application from the cloud, but an agent is installed on each system, which monitors endpoint security.

Malwarebytes is a comprehensive solution for keeping endpoints safe and secure from intruders, viruses, malware and so on.

We had a little performance problem with the solution, but that's been resolved. Since then, it's been running well.

The pricing model could be more friendly to the consumer, especially when we pay for the premium version. 

We have been using the solution for about three years. 

The product is pretty stable, and the stability improved over time.

The solution is highly scalable; it's easy to purchase additional licenses, activate them in the Nebula Cloud, and roll them out to the endpoints.

We have 60 licenses; 50 are for the clients, which are Windows 10 and 11. The other 10 are for servers ranging from 2012 R2 to 2019 Windows servers.

The tool is lightweight in terms of maintenance, two admins monitor it, and both of us are capable of making any required adjustments. The solution is primarily automated, so it doesn't require much input from us.

The technical support is very good. They're reachable by email, phone, and via support ticket through the Nebula Portal. 

We previously used Kaspersky for about five years before switching to Malwarebytes. We switched due to a US government recommendation over concerns that Kaspersky is based in Russia and might cooperate with the Russian government, which is known to do state-sponsored hacking.

Initial setup is straightforward. 

The licensing is per seat, with clients being a little less expensive than servers. If we need more licenses, we can accomplish that within a day. As Malwarebytes adds new features to their product, such as DNS filtering and a patching module, they want to charge us more even though we're a premium user, which isn't ideal.

If we were to purchase all the modules, it could become expensive. If we buy a premium version of a product, then we should be included when they roll out new features, and if they want to adjust the price at the start of the next contract, that's negotiable.

I would rate this solution a ten out of ten; it's never let us down as far as protecting our endpoints. 

Even though we're satisfied with the product, we don't like the bait-and-switch pricing style. We have the highest level premium version of the product, but when they add new features to the portal and we click on them, we get a message saying, ''Contact your sales representative'' meaning they want us to pay more. We will be considering other options when the contract is up for renewal. That doesn't necessarily mean we will switch to another product, but we will look at alternatives.

Malwarebytes is typically used as a second opinion. If there is something bothering me, it is not working. My involvement with Malwarebytes is centered on its tools. I run Malwarebytes on their tech bench. I lack the operational experience that I have with Sophos and FortiClient.

For example, I had a client who had been the victim of a phone scam in which someone called him from one of these 800 numbers to tell them that they had been monitoring their computer and discovered that it contained malware. And for the small fee of $200, they would be able to repair it for them. 

After paying the $200, they realized they had been part of a scam. They had me come in, I used Malwarebytes to enter their machine and ensure that there were no hidden or unknown packages, as well as a strong lesson in cyber security awareness on why you shouldn't accept those phone calls.

It's very versatile and thorough.

It keeps up with the various threats it faces. It has a good analysis package and good reporting.

It basically tells you if you have anything on your machine that shouldn't be there. I have just discovered it to be exceptionally good at finding that stuff.

From my use case with it, it works fine. 

I am not going to comment on its ability to integrate with other solutions that are not strictly endpoint protection. They now have the capability of centralized management. When I first started working with Malwarebytes, they didn't have it. 

It's adaptable, as are all of the products I work with. They are compatible with the major platforms I encounter, which are Windows and Mac, as well as mobile devices such as iOS and Android.

I don't have much opportunity to customize it other than to write a rule here and there to try to find something. And I have never been in a situation where I was forced to do something I couldn't.

Malwarebytes, Sophos, and Fortinet, in fact, any product I will gravitate toward, will have a consistent development release cycle. 

Strictly in terms of cyber security, the release cycle should be quarterly, at most. It shouldn't be more frequent than that because, for one thing, keeping up with tech support is difficult. You are more likely to receive an incorrect response from the support team. It should not be any more frequent. 

In my opinion, the quarterly release cycle is ideal. This allows them to keep up with the market and the threats that exist in the market, as well as have enough time to run a reasonably developed test and release it to the public.

I have been using Malwarebytes for the past year.

I have not had any issues with the stability of Malwarebytes.

Scalability does not apply to Malwarebytes. 

My experience with technical support has always been great.

Malwarebytes is convenient because I can carry my USB thumb drive along with a copy of Malwarebytes on it and plug it in. If I have local admin access to the machine and can run the product.

If your organization is large enough, you can divide that and best practices in security. Say you should divide it up so the fox isn't watching the chicken house.

I am a small organization, and it's one thing if the company has enough employees. However, the majority of the businesses I work with are extremely lean. In many cases, if they're lucky, they'll have someone with even the most basic cyber security skills.

I believe the retail price is between $40 and $50 per copy. 

It is a yearly subscription.

My company provides cybersecurity consulting services. I have partnerships and mutual respect with both companies Sophos, and FortiClient.

I would also be involved in potential resell.

I go through the technical training they provide to become certified to support it. And I actively use both products with various customers that I work with.

I believe my use case is ideal because I'm using it as a backup set of tools. That basically allows me to go in and see if something doesn't seem to be working properly. We can see what Malwarebytes discovers. That is my primary use case.

10 would indicate that I am absolutely certain that 100% of the problem has been solved. And in security, nothing is ever guaranteed.

I would rate Malwarebytes an eight out of ten.

The product's stability needs improvement.

We have been using Malwarebytes for 15 years.

The platform is stable, and we haven't encountered any issues. However, there is always room for improvement. I rate the stability an eight.

I previously used Windows Defender. Numerous assessments indicate it catches around 80% to 90% of threats. However, Malwarebytes achieved a higher success rate.

The platform is straightforward to install. Its automation functionality runs updates seamlessly in the background, requiring minimal user intervention.

We deploy and maintain the platform with the help of our in-house team.

The platform pricing is competitive with other antivirus products. Also, one license allows you to run it on up to two devices simultaneously.

Malwarebytes offers robust security features and implements innovative functionalities. For instance, it allows users to check if their email addresses are mentioned on compromised sites.

It has a user-friendly interface. I recommend it for commercial organizations. For non-commercial organizations, Microsoft Defender is more suitable.

I rate it an eight out of ten.

I use it at my workplace and in my communications with my colleagues.

The most valuable feature of the solution is that I can use it wherever I want, be it at the office, at home, or even outside.

The stability and performance of the solution are areas with shortcomings that need improvement.

I have been using Malwarebytes for two to three years.

The solution is mostly stable, but maybe once out of ten circumstances, there are some issues, but very seldom.

Stability-wise, I rate the solution an eight out of ten.

I don't know much about the solution's scalability because I don't have the visibility of the services being expanded to other locations, but it should be scalable since it is a solution available over the internet.

I don't know if my company has plans to increase the use of the solution.

The initial setup of Malwarebytes is easy. I need to log in to my account, so nothing much is needed.

For deployment, you register for the account, and everything is automated.

The solution has so far not created any issues in my computer.

Our company deals with EPP EDR, MDR, patch management, DNS filtering, and vulnerability assessment of Malwarebytes. They have two products, one for businesses and one for home use. If you use the one with EPP, it is meant for businesses.

Malwarebytes is a good product for SMBs since it provides malware and ransomware protection, allowing SMBs to secure their endpoints.

The most valuable features of the solution are malware scanning and malware removal.

The improvements needed in the product depend on the company and its plans, but I think that the product is mostly okay. Malwarebytes has to keep updating as per the market trend in regards to what and where the malware is, which is not a major challenge for other products. If Malwarebytes matches the same intensity as its competitors, it can do good in the market. Malwarebytes needs to keep up with the market updates and release products that align with what its competitors are doing in the market.

I have been using Malwarebytes for more than five years. My company has a partnership with Malwarebytes.

It is a stable solution. I have not experienced any downtimes. Stability-wise, I rate the solution a nine out of ten.

It is a scalable solution. We can scale up the use of the solution.

My clients are usually SMBs.

The solution's technical support is clear as per the SLA. The support is provided to us immediately whenever needed. I rate the technical support an eight out of ten.

The initial setup of Malwarebytes was easy.

The solution is deployed on the cloud. My customers have the tool deployed on their own cloud.

The time for deployment depends on the number of users, which can be a hundred, two hundred, or five hundred users. Depending on your approach, if you have Active Directory and domain controller, you can deploy it centrally from the console itself with the tools that can help you deploy faster. You can also deploy the tool one by one, a process in which you can install the agent and simply install the agent and the machines, after which it will be rest registered on the cloud immediately.

If you look at the pricing of some other products, the pricing of Malwarebytes is pretty much okay since it is neither cheap nor too high, making it fall in the middle.

On a scale of one to ten, where one is a low price and ten is a high price, I rate the product's pricing a seven.

Malwarebytes provides features like device control, scan engine, malware protection, ransomware protection, rollback features, and managed detection and response. The tool also provides features like integrated patch management, vulnerability assessment, and DNS filtering. If any of my customers prefer Malwarebytes, they can have the complete package.

I recommend the product if it fits the budget of those planning to use it. It's a good product. They can have clear visibility on the endpoints since it helps them protect from ransomware and other advanced threats. Malwarebytes is an affordable tool. One can use it, especially if someone doesn't have a high budget, since it helps fulfill the basic requirements.

Malwarebytes is not there in the reports from Gartner or IDC. They have their own labs to test their products. In general, they don't have any third-party reports as of now. Malwarebytes was previously included in one of the reports from Gartner. I think Malwarebytes doesn't participate in the reports from Gartner. If we look at the market trends and the industry, most customers look at Gartner's reports to identify whether a product is a leader, challenger, or a big product, depending on which they choose. If Malwarebytes was included in reports from Gartner, I would have rated the tool an eight or nine out of ten.

Overall, I rate the tool a seven out of ten.
