We primarily utilize N-able N-sight for remote monitoring, ongoing protection, and providing remote access for both our organization and clients.
What is our primary use case?
How has it helped my organization?
N-able N-sight hasn't significantly impacted our operational costs since we renewed at previous years' prices, so there hasn't been much of a cost implication.
What is most valuable?
The antivirus feature is valuable as it notifies us of infections and allows us to address them promptly.
What needs improvement?
N-able N-sight should improve its console functionality. It lacks features for updating drivers, clearing up storage, and conducting registry checks from the console.
Additionally, it should provide more detailed notifications and instructions for addressing deployment issues. The system should also allow for remote resolution of issues rather than requiring physical access to the machines.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been working with the product for the past four years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Remote resolving issues from a console should be prioritized, as users are not always available for machine access.
How are customer service and support?
The technical support from N-able N-sight is lacking. If we log a technical support query, it can take up to three days for them to respond, despite continuous follow-ups.
How would you rate customer service and support?
Positive
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
Previously, I worked with Symantec Endpoint Protection and Kaspersky Endpoint Protection at other employers, which offered more robust functionality from the console, like updating drivers and conducting registry checks.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
We spend around 3500 rands monthly for services covering seven servers and approximately 150 machines. However, maintenance and support require an additional cost.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
There are more cost-effective and competitive products in the market, however, due to time constraints, we have not had the chance to explore them.
What other advice do I have?
The potential to do more from the console without requiring physical access to the user machines would be beneficial.
I'd rate the solution five out of ten.
Which deployment model are you using for this solution?
On-premises
