This was my first project, and Nmap was the best tool that I have used to date, and I recommend it to everyone.
Nmap is invaluable for network security, providing detailed endpoint information and superior scanning capabilities, including UDP ports. It excels in performance, identifying vulnerabilities with essential scripts while aiding compliance checks and troubleshooting without overloading machines. However, Nmap's learning curve, initial setup challenges, limited scan license, scanning speed, and stability need improvements. For beginners, the CLI-based interface might be daunting, yet its comprehensive features make Nmap a strong contender in network analysis tools.
