Our team of five uses nTask to manage our advertising projects smoothly. Whether it is social media campaigns, fundraisers, or events, nTask helps us stay organized by handling logistics and task dependencies.
What is our primary use case?
What is most valuable?
The most valuable feature of nTask is its user-friendly interface. Its simplicity makes it easy to navigate, and the consistent structure across modules means the tool guides you intuitively. This is especially beneficial for those who aren't tech-savvy or haven't worked with complex tools before. Being part of a small team, cost efficiency is crucial for us, and nTask fits well within our budget while providing all the necessary features. Additionally, we find the Gantt chart feature particularly useful for planning fundraisers with various task dependencies. The reporting feature ensures accuracy in our financial work. Being a small team, we appreciate nTask's customization options in the business plan.
What needs improvement?
While nTask serves our business needs well, there is room for improvement in a couple of areas. Firstly, in terms of the user interface, some other project management tools offer smoother interfaces with features like dark mode and animations, providing a more customized workspace. While not essential for our business, these features could enhance the overall user experience. Additionally, in terms of collaboration, nTask currently lacks a direct chat or communication feature. Although we can add comments related to tasks, issues, or projects, a dedicated communication tool within nTask would streamline collaboration and eliminate the need for external alternatives.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using nTask for about six months.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
nTask is a stable product. I haven't encountered any major breakdowns or bugs while using it. It generally works fine for our team.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
nTask is a valuable and scalable product for our five-person team. The customization options, including custom fields and statuses, make it highly adaptable to our specific needs. Currently, we are on the business plan, which provides a range of features like risk management and reporting. I noticed they have an enterprise plan too, which lets you customize modules even more. If we ever need to scale up or tweak things to fit our exact needs, upgrading to the enterprise plan seems like a good option.
How are customer service and support?
On the rare occasions when I had questions or couldn't figure out how to do something, the support team was very responsive and helpful. They were always available to assist and guide me through any issues.
How was the initial setup?
Setting up nTask was quite easy. The installation process was straightforward, and I didn't encounter any difficulties. The customer support played a helpful role, especially during the trial demo where they walked us through the basics. It straightforward online process. After signing up and providing the necessary details, it guided me through creating my workspace and team. There were no downloads required; everything happened online. It was a quick and easy procedure that I managed in-house without the need for any third-party assistance.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
The nTask team was accommodating and offered us a discount as a startup. For our business plan on nTask, we pay $8 per month per user. Opting for the annual subscription, the cost comes to around $40 per user per year. It is a reasonable pricing structure for our needs, providing good value for the features offered.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
Our company chose nTask mainly because we were in need of a simple and user-friendly project management tool. Given the complexity of our work with numerous dependencies and a small team, we wanted a solution that wouldn't overcomplicate things. Being a startup with limited resources, the budget-friendly nature of nTask was also a significant factor in our decision. During the selection process, we explored other tools, but nTask stood out as it provided all the features we were looking for without the need to look elsewhere. During the selection process, we tried out the trial version of Trello and Asana. Trello fell short because it didn't offer all the features we needed for project management, especially when dealing with dependencies and project views. While Trello excels in a board view, it wasn't the right fit for our needs. As for Asana, it had good features but was ultimately ruled out due to pricing—it was beyond our budget. he simplicity, user-friendliness, and cost-effectiveness were the key reasons behind choosing nTask for our organization.
What other advice do I have?
I would recommend nTask to any startup or a small company with a modest team that is looking for a project management tool that is customizable, simple to use, and offers all the necessary features without a strong preference for extensively customizing the UI. Overall, I would rate nTask as an eight out of ten.
