|---|---|---|
| Director at Norderia | 3.5 | Our client is exploring SAP Data Quality Management, which is relatively new and not yet fully mature. It offers valuable features like Fiori dashboards but has limitations in module coverage. It integrates well and is AI-enabled, improving response times. |
| IT Manufacturing Intelligence Chief at Productos Laminados de Monterrey | 4.5 | I use SAP Data Quality Management at a manufacturing site for tasks like creating inspection lots and recording results. It is crucial for meeting API standards. Integration with the ME system and improved communication would enhance efficiency. |
| SEAA Manufacturing Digital Manager at a manufacturing company with 10,001+ employees | 4.0 | I use this for product inspection and status management. While scalability within SAP is good, I need features for recording all inspections and easier data analysis with trending analytics, as the system feels rigid. |

There are some limitations. They are not covering complete scenarios for all the modules. There are many processes in SAP. It can be sales, material management, or transportation management. On the whole, I think they still have to spend time to understand how best the cases can be covered with this solution. They still need to go a long way.
They have good dashboards and it is a Fiori app developed. It looks fine from a user point of view.
This tool itself is new. SAP Data Quality Management was brought in by SAP recently, maybe a year or two years back. We just started implementing and we still have not heard exact feedback from the client. It would not be correct if I give feedback now because I don't have accurate feedback from client usage. I feel it is a good tool with some limitations.
We compared it with Celonis, which is also one of the other tools in the market. I am more into SAP and S4 HANA, so I am not familiar with all the best tools available in Data Quality Management which can be compatible with SAP. We know there are issues with SAP Data Quality Management. The advantage of this tool that SAP brought is that it is already in-built. You don't need to build another application layer on top of the existing one. The compatibility and response time for these applications within the same database is faster.
We are using SAP Data Quality Management currently.
No issues.
As of now, it is good.
Scalability is good.
We did not reach SAP, but it is not easy to reach out to them. They have many hierarchies. They have predefined processes to reach SAP through incident management or success management.
Neutral
Maintenance is simple.
One person should be fine for implementation.
I cannot provide a specific percentage rate as it is very general. The solution can be implemented case by case. One case may cost less, while another might cost more. We don't know what kind of issues clients have. SAP also provides many pre-defined validations in core modules itself. If you are managing very well with existing core modules, you might not even need these tools. These tools will help to protect further more. This requires some more time to evaluate.
If you already have a license for other SAP modules, they are not charging extra for SAP Data Quality Management, if I am correct. It is definitely a good cost-saving tool.
This tool is AI-enabled. The system will understand what kind of data they are trying to correct or protect. They also trigger email functionalities and guide users on how this data can be corrected.
For smaller organizations, I don't think this much is required. If it is a bigger size client from a business point of view, I definitely recommend this tool. They can use it if they are already using SAP.
I rate SAP Data Quality Management a seven out of ten.

In the last three years, my company used SAP Data Quality Management for a manufacturing site, particularly for creating inspection lots, recording the results, and costing the inspection lots from any site connected to the SAP system.
I oversee manufacturing execution. To explain further, when you finish the product, it goes to the laboratory, and so you call for the creation of the inspection lot or finished product. When the lab sends the product back to the production line, you record the results on the data collection for every serial number and then call SAP to record this, make the decision about the inspection lots, and close it. It's on the water cycle for the production plan for Quality Management, which you apply to the finished products. This is primarily the use case for SAP Data Quality Management.
We work with API standards or norms for internal applications, so it's essential for SSE to have tests and pass those tests according to the criteria, which makes SAP Data Quality Management very important for our products.
SAP Data Quality Management would be better if it directly integrates with the ME system. Right now, the company has a lot of machines on the shop floor working as a standalone, so you have to use all methods to ensure that the data interface appears on the ME system and that SAP Data Quality Management records the QM results. It would be much easier if the ME system could be integrated directly with SAP Data Quality Management.
What I'd like to see from SAP Data Quality Management in the future is the integration of machines on the shop floor or a feature that connects shop floor devices.
I'd also like a custom dashboard in the solution, though I wonder if that's available in the new version. The old version my company uses doesn't have that.
Another feature I want in the next release of SAP Data Quality Management is better communication between the ME and the SAP systems.
I've been using SAP Data Quality Management for six or seven years.
SAP Data Quality Management is a stable solution, but it could still be improved. As I mentioned, the SAP Data Quality Management system needs to be integrated with the ME system.
Currently, my company is looking into updating the old SAP Data Quality Management version to take advantage of the new version. Simultaneously, the company is also looking into another product, an out-of-the-box digital manufacturing solution.
SAP Data Quality Management is a scalable solution.
We contacted the technical support for SAP Data Quality Management three years ago, and they assisted us. They were good, so they're an eight out of ten. However, nowadays, we only get limited support because we're using an old version of SAP Data Quality Management, so whenever we call them, and though they're giving their best effort to solve our issue, they frequently tell us that we have to move to the newest version.
Positive
As I wasn't part of the company when SAP Data Quality Management was set up fourteen years ago, I have no information about how straightforward or complex the setup was.
I have no information on the pricing for SAP Data Quality Management.
In the company, I'm in the IT department, supporting the internal users, particularly finance department users. My company has no partnership with SAP Data Quality Management. I'm a customer or user of the solution.
I'm using an old SAP Data Quality Management version implemented twelve or fourteen years ago, so my company plans to move to a newer solution.
More than two hundred people use SAP Data Quality Management within my company. Managers, administrators, and IT staff use the solution.
For my manufacturing client, about eight engineers handle the deployment and maintenance of SAP Data Quality Management.
I'd tell new or potential users of SAP Data Quality Management that it's a very good solution. Still, it's best to let the SAP team assess and look into the company process, as SAP will unquestionably recommend the best product for each case.
As SAP Data Quality Management is one of the best products for me, I'd rate it as nine out of ten.
Our primary use case is for us to inspect the results from the product and material, and for releasing or leaving the status of the product.
I would like for them to develop a feature to able to record all of our inspections; so all the data can go through SAP. It's not user-friendly or easy to get further analysis, so we mostly skip this step.
From what I see, it's too rigid. The code is hard to use.
I've been using Data Quality Management for six months but have been monitoring the team that uses it for five years.
The scalability within the SAP function is good. Adding a new product is good. But the hard thing about scalability is that it's difficult to connect with other applications on our site.
I would like to see trending analytics features and simple graphs. We input the data into SAP, and we need to analyze data. I would like to get input analysis in the next release.
I would rate SAP Data Quality Management an eight out of ten.
