We have around five to 10 SonicWall access points in our organization, which means we can have between 50 to 100 users at any one time. We use SonicWall WiFi Cloud Manager to manage those access points. We are partners of Sonic.
What is our primary use case?
What is most valuable?
I like the ease of use this product offers; you can manage it from home and don't need to take the console access or go on the specific IP. It is very easy to manage the access points. The product has a user friendly dashboard with all the options and features.
What needs improvement?
We had some issues integrating with the cloud which was problematic.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
This is a reliable solution.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
This is an SaaS product so it's scalable. We have close to 200 employees. We don't plan to increase because this solution has a maximum 200 users.
How are customer service and technical support?
When we initially deployed, this was a completely new product for us so we had to call the Sonic support team and they were very responsive. There is also a lot of documentation available.
How was the initial setup?
The initial setup was a little complex and took around five to seven days.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
We use several Sonic solutions and I'm not sure if the license fee of this product is independent of the others that we're using.
What other advice do I have?
This solution is integrated with our firewall. We have two WiFi solutions; the Aruba WiFi and the SonicWall WiFi. Aruba is deployed in our head office and SonicWall WiFi in our branch office. To manage the branch office access points, we use Cloud Manager. If a company already has Sonic access points, this is a seamless solution for controlling and managing WiFi.
I rate this solution an eight out of 10.
Which deployment model are you using for this solution?
Public Cloud
