Sophos Firewall Reviews

We are resellers of Sophos XG and I'm the company's managing director. 

I like the firewall endpoint and email encryption that Sophos XG provides.

As with solutions like Palo Alto and other firewalls, the SD-WAN needs to be rigorously and aggressively improved because when we provide this solution to our customers, it often fails at the network security level. 

I've been using this solution for seven years. 

The stability of this product is good, we've never had any complaints from our customers. 

The scalability is fine. 

Licensing costs for this product are reasonable. 

I rate this solution eight out of 10. 

Sophos XG is used as our firewall.

We are an MSP, and we have a variety of clients with varying needs. It is a solution that is tailored to each of our clients and their specific requirements.

The most valuable feature of this solution is flexibility.

Scalability could be improved. It could be better.

I have been working with Sophos XG for approximately six years.

Sophos XG is a stable solution.

It is scalable in the majority of cases. We've had a couple of problems.

Our main application is for medium-sized companies.

We are also using FortiGate.

The initial setup is easy, it's straightforward.

The technical support is good. We have no problems with technical support.

The price is reasonable but it would be great if it was reduced to half the price.

I would recommend this solution. They all have different strengths and weaknesses, it all depends on the environment.

I would rate Sophos XG a nine out of ten.

The solution acts as a filter. 

A valuable feature involves the solution's manageability. 

Even though things work on the back end, we have encountered bugs in the solution. 

User interface and integration can stand improvement.

I have been working with Sophos XG for two or three years. 

Owing to the fast and adequate response time we get, we do not have complaints about the stability. 

Scalability is not an issue for us, as we are getting the requisite support, with fast response time. 

The price is good for the moment.

I rate Sophos XG as a seven out of ten, owing to the bugs we have come across. 

I am using Sophos XG for network security.

The most valuable features are the reporting, dashboards, and graphical user interface. It gives a good overall picture of what is happening over the network.

There have been some issues when upgrading. For some reason, parts of the configuration become unconfigured, I then have to reconfigure it. I should not need to keep reconfiguring it after upgrades.

I have been using this solution for approximately four years.

The solution is stable.

The solution is scalable.

There needs to be more tutorials and documentation. I have not done a lot of configuration because I need more training.

We were previously using Cyberoam.

The initial setup was not difficult to complete. I have not been trained as a Sophos administrator and it would have been easier if I had training. 

I recommend this solution to others.

We are IT, service providers, here in Pakistan, we provide solutions for our customers.

We deploy this solution for the health care industry, in hospitals.

There are many valuable features.

It's a good product.

It is not recommended for larger enterprise customers.

They need to improve the SD-WAN feature.

As we are service providers, we have deployed multiple deployments of Sophos XG for our customers.

Our clients are using the latest version.

Sophos XG is a reliable product.

Sophos XG is easy to scale.

We have eight to ten customers who are using this solution.

Technical support is good but there is a delay in response.

The response time needs improvement.

We deal with Fortinet and Sangfor as well.

The initial setup is easy to apply. It is not complex.

The product is well priced. We are happy with the pricing.

The license is subscription-based.

I would recommend this solution for less than 5,000 users.

I would rate Sophos XG an eight out of ten.

We use Sophos XG to provide access to our internal environment, to our infrastructure for our clients.

It is easy to implement.

It is very secure, which is why we have chosen it.

It is already secure but it could be better in terms of other breaches that may occur.

I have been using the latest version of Sophos XG for a few months.

It's a stable solution.

Sophos XG is scalable.

This solution is being used by approximately 800 to 1,000 people.

Technical support is very good. They are very prompt.

I have not used any other solutions before using Sophos XG.

The initial setup is straightforward. It is easy to install and it only took a few hours to do.

You only need one person to maintain this solution.

We have an in-house team to install and deploy the solution. We did not use an integrator.

We pay our licensing fees yearly.

I don't think that it is expensive when you compare it with other solutions available on the market.

We have not had any issues with this solution. I would recommend it and my advice is that people should definitely try it out.

I use this solution for a firewall and proxy server.

The valuable features of this solution are the VPN, load balancer, and the QoS for splitting the ISP band.

The reports could improve, they do not seem complete and more information could be added.
