Trend Micro Endpoint Encryption is typically used for hardware-focused scenarios, particularly laptop disk encryption, since people travel frequently outside of offices, which makes laptops susceptible to theft.

The disk encryption component is utilized extensively, and email DLP is used to block emails containing specific keywords.

Email DLP is the primary requirement because certain data must not be transmitted externally.

The encryption over the disk has improved, and if any encrypted USB is removed, data cannot be copied.

Logging cases have also been documented where printing is prevented.

I use the centralized management feature because we majorly use DCDR and near DR sites.

The single console helps me manage all sites, take reports, and push policies.

Multiple authentication methods are used, and they have impacted our organization's access controls.

Logging and reporting capabilities of Trend Micro Endpoint Encryption help with compliance verification, and there are no issues. We have also conducted VAPT for the URL, which is satisfactory, as we are not finding any abnormality in it.

It is financially beneficial to use Trend Micro Endpoint Encryption. All applications in the DLP and antivirus category provide similar results, but what matters is how the company approaches and supports the customer, as well as the cost factor. If you maintain costs and provide good customer service, the ratio of customer satisfaction can be increased.

When deploying Trend Micro Endpoint Encryption, we faced some issues where scanning was not happening properly, and the policies may not have been created properly, which is the reason it was not working.

There could be improvements specifically about the scanning part and policy part where we have to deploy what we actually require.

I would like to see features that include collaboration of all alerts and applied analytics so we can immediately identify issues.

Analytics can provide immediate reporting before issues spread, as sometimes one issue captured at the site level can spread to high-level operations.

If identified and communicated to the team immediately, it could prevent issues. Usually, downloading and reviewing the report takes too much time, and many engineers skip it due to the volume of tasks.

However, analytics could generate alerts and ticketing if integrated with the EMS application.

I have been working with Trend Micro Endpoint Encryption for almost six to eight years, as I used it in my previous organization, and currently, I am using Symantec.

When you called me previously, I was working with another entity, and now I am working with a different entity.

Deployment of this product requires a maximum of one month.

It totally depends on the size of the scope and how much work you are doing.

As I have worked on bigger-sized projects, it takes a maximum of one month because it is a repetitive job.

If we create one scope of work document, then that same SOW is shared with all the team, and then the time can be defined.

My experience with technical support is good, as I have not encountered any concerns regarding a lack of support or being stuck somewhere.

Based on my experience, I would rate support between eight to nine, as it is not very high due to timeline-related issues sometimes.

The time at which I log a case affects how support is enabled, but it is generally between nine to ten.

Trend Micro Endpoint Encryption is appealing for me and my customers because nowadays, everyone is introducing artificial intelligence.

My experience over the last year is that Trend Micro is not focusing a lot on maintaining the customer list, as many customers have moved to Trellix and other entities providing similar products.

I mostly work with Trend Micro now but also discuss Kaspersky and other vendors.

Trellix is also becoming more prevalent in the market.

We faced some challenges related to the DLP part, but we sorted them out.

It depends on a case-by-case basis, but the majority of issues we closed.

I have not utilized the real-time encryption feature with Trend Micro Endpoint Encryption since it is not required by my company because our majority task is offline.

We work on bids and submitting tenders, so immediate encryption is not yet required for us.

I assess that the ease of setting up encryption policies using Trend Micro Endpoint Encryption is good, as that is now a part of compliance for all government audits.

I would rate this review an eight overall.

I use the solution to protect data in the event of laptop theft or other incidents. We use it in the context of banking.

It is beneficial for my organization as it safeguards data, ensuring it remains protected.

One valuable feature is full disk encryption. If a laptop is stolen, no one can steal the data since it is fully protected. 

If Trend Micro Endpoint Encryption comes up with a SaaS solution, it will be better rather than just having an on-premises solution.

I have used the solution for the last two years.

I have not encountered any stability issues. I'd rate stability seven out of ten.

There are scalability limitations. I'd rate scalability five out of ten.

The customer service is good, and they provide excellent support.

There weren't too many challenges with the setup. The initial setup is a little bit difficult as it requires skill. A person without the necessary experience or skill cannot handle it.

Overall, I'd rate the implementation process seven out of ten. Deployment times vary depending on customer enrollment. If there are more than 100 machines, it might take 45 to 60 days.

In terms of return on investment, I can't state an exact percentage, however, it surely saves costs by around 10% to 20%. It's more of an ROI from a security perspective. 

The license cost is reasonable. It's per user.

To protect any laptop or desktop in the event of theft, it is advisable to employ this solution to safeguard data. 

I would rate this solution eight out of ten.

We use the solution for mobile device protection. Since mobile devices are in transit, it's important to safeguard the data stored on them. Encryption is the solution we can use. We use hardware tools to ensure that the data is only accessible via authorized means. This makes the data usable only for those with the proper authorization.

Trend Micro does not need advanced knowledge about encryption except when they are required to apply assets to the system. You must continue setting up the system with the right profile to avoid any issues.

There are issues like recovery that arise. We've managed to overcome them. In some instances where the system crashes, we attempt data recovery using the Microsoft version of Encryption, and it's easily manageable. We need to involve the Encryption team.

After installation, some experience crashes. When the system crashes after installation, it is related to the system itself. Essentially, we're facing another issue where an unauthorized person has managed to decrypt the Encryption.

I have been using Trend Micro Endpoint Encryption for a couple of years.

Customer support is very responsive. We have a very good relationship with them.

The initial setup is straightforward.  We did it in-house. We've implemented a solution where we deploy Ethernet connectivity to all our endpoints, mainly focusing on securing mobile devices.

Compared to other solutions, it's neither cheap nor expensive. It offers good value for what you're paying for.

There are plans to extend it to all endpoints in the future. The reason for prioritizing mobile devices is their prevalent usage, but we acknowledge that desktops are not mobile, so the scope will expand to cover all endpoints.

Due to the industry's demands, we often face considerable downtime, which affects data security and pricing. In terms of removal, we deal with many consigned secrets and confidential data residing on those media. Hence, we must protect those media and implement Trend Micro Endpoint Encryption.

Trend Micro offers very good endpoint security solutions. It's also essential for them to possess strong account security measures. A solid understanding of your experience and how to leverage it effectively is crucial for extracting the most value.

Overall, I rate the solution an eight out of ten.

I cannot make any modifications or changes in the application currently.

The product's initial setup phase is easy, considering the management console and software. I don't have any experience with the configuration part since the product was already configured when I joined the organization.

You need to make payments towards the user-based license. In a company with around 100 users, there is a need to pay per user, which is not very expensive.

I rate the product price a six on a scale of one to ten, where one is high price, and ten is low price.

I don't have any idea about the implementation part because the tool was configured in my company's infrastructure. When I joined the organization, everything was configured. Currently, I am involved in the endpoint management and control.

My company uses the product for the endpoints in our company so that it offers protection against viruses and other malicious activities.

My company operates as a service provider, owing to which we deal with multiple clients and their data, which are stored in a PDF format. My company also provides applications to our clients. There are different types of data that my company protects from malicious activities and ransomware attacks.

The most beneficial part of the product for our company's security needs stems from the fact that it offers an agentless service, which makes it better to manage our endpoint devices.

I am not the right person to speak about how the full disc encryption capability of Trend Micro has impacted our data protection strategies since I am not the right person to provide any information about it. I am a system engineer who manages virtualization tools like VMware. There is a separate team for endpoint management in my organization.

Speaking about the user experience and management console of Trend Micro Endpoint Encryption, I would say that the product offers a very unique GUI. The unique GUI of the tool makes it possible to easily use the management console for some tasks, like creating and downloading reports.

There is a separate team with six to seven engineers in my company to manage the troubleshooting part of endpoint solutions.

I recommend the product to those who plan to use it.

The product is easy to use. The product is useful in the area of ePO reporting. It is very easy to create general reports with the product.

I rate the overall product a seven out of ten.

The solution is used for the user's laptop encryption, for antivirus, updates and controlling the upgrades of Windows and Office. 

The encryption feature is workable and doesn't slow down that much. 

On the control panel in which we view the emails, not for the encryption itself, there isn't much information about the current time and the rules to set, we had some complications regarding the rules and many emails were blocked. We had a couple of issues lately, support from them was not so swift, it needs to be fast.

Previously when I was heading an IT team at a bank I had worked with a couple of other solutions. When I joined ALC, we decided on Trend Micro Endpoint Encryption because the cost factor was in favor of this solution and only the licensing needed to be renewed, not just an initial deployment. 

I would rate the initial setup experience a nine out of ten. The setup is straightforward without much complications. We upgraded two years ago; it wasn't that hard, I believe it was straightforward. However, the encryption process takes longer than expected. We had a couple of cases in which we were delayed for the users because it took more time than expected. 

There are lots of products in the system, so users should focus on what they need. Sometimes we get some modules that we don't utilize and it becomes a burden. I would rate Trend Micro Endpoint Encryption a nine out of ten. 

In my company, Trend Micro Endpoint Encryption serves as an antivirus solution.

At work, Trend Micro Endpoint Encryption helps with spam filtering. Any spam emails we get in our company are filtered through Trend Micro's system.

The most valuable feature of the solution is the antivirus part it offers.

To be honest, like I said, I haven't used the tool from an administrative point of view. I won't be able to answer what needs improvement in the solution.

Trend Micro Endpoint Encryption currently lacks something similar to a firewall that can detect any vulnerabilities. Trend Micro Endpoint Encryption can develop or create something like a firewall application with better detection capabilities and offer it to users as an add-on solution that can provide the functionalities of a firewall.

I have been using Trend Micro Endpoint Encryption for five to six years. My company is a customer of Trend Micro Endpoint Encryption. I am using the solution's latest version.

It is a stable solution in my company's environment. Stability-wise, I rate the solution an eight out of ten.

Scalability-wise, I rate the solution a five out of ten since I haven't actually used it from an administrator's point of view.

Between 500 and 600 people, consisting of people belonging to different designations in my company, like human resources or finance, to name a few, use the solution.

Though I am not someone who is involved in the decision-making process related to an increase in the usage of the solution in my company, I am sure that my company may consider increasing the usage of the solution.

The solution is deployed on an on-premises model, though in the future, my company plans to move to the cloud version of the solution.

The solution can be deployed in a day.

More than one person is required to take care of the solution's deployment process.

I rate the product price a seven on a scale of one to ten, where one is cheap, and ten is expensive.

Trend Micro Endpoint Encryption is a much better solution than the other antivirus solutions we have used in our company. Trend Micro Endpoint Encryption is a stable tool, but I can't comment much on its scalability since I haven't actually used it from an administrative point of view. I know that Trend Micro Endpoint Encryption offers much more than the other solutions I have seen.

I rate the overall tool an eight to eight and a half out of ten.

We have multiple clients, some clients use Sophos Endpoint Solution, and some even like to use Check Point Harmony. But comparatively, Trend Micro Endpoint Encryption is much better than these other solutions. 

This solution is being used by us for the baking sector, but mainly we are dealing with government entities, as well as the military environment.  

It's a secured solution and, unlike other solutions, Trend Micro Endpoint Encryption does not choke the system during the scanning process. If you take Sophos or Check Point Harmony, it dumps the system for a while. When a large file is given, other tools will take time to open during the back-end scanning process of the file. The update will be done in one or two hours, during this time the system and the server will run very slow. Trend Micro Endpoint Encryption does not take that much time and the CPU's play session for that process. 

With the data and architecture, this tool uses different technology, but there should be more features of Deep Scanning. Different scenarios, related to desktop applications where the text files are sitting in the drive, should be even in the system's ready-to folder. So that it becomes an executable file and Deep Scan should be available now. 

We use IP 360 and Tick and in some cases, there are end-point solutions as well. 
I have been using this solution for a year. 

I would rate the stability a nine out of ten. 

Our clients for Trend Micro Endpoint Encryption are enterprises. I would rate the scalability a seven out of ten. 

Support is very good, we are really satisfied. They even provide support for the partners very closely. I would rate nine out of ten for customer support.

I would rate the initial setup a nine out of ten. Our clients use the tool on-cloud and on-premises. Deployment of this solution does not take much time. Hardware-wise, for on-prem devices, where we are installing IP or Activewire sort of things, it takes one day time. For endpoint client installation, when I am pushing the files from the server itself, it will take hardly an hour to finish setting up all the systems. 

I would definitely recommend this solution, mainly because of the customer-specific view, the end user who's using the system, wants to use the system without any delay. I would overall rate the solution an eight out of ten. 

We primarily use the solution for endpoint encryption. It's used on devices such as desktops and laptops. 

The encryption part basically is a fundamental part of encrypting our disks so as to avoid any data spill or breach. The productivity is the same as all encryption vendors. Even the technique of encryptions is all the same if compared to McAfee or other drive encryptions. However, having something on offer that can lock our drives is great. 

The hassle comes in whenever you need to decrypt back your assets before leaving the company. 

Encryption-wise it is good. The disk encryption is great. 

It's pretty comparable to other products. 

The initial setup is mostly straightforward. 

It's scalable. 

The product is largely stable. 

It's not a full, complete set. Compared to Bitlocker or McAfee Disk Encryption, it's not quite as robust.

The interface could be better. It would be better if we could control how we actually view that status.

The product visibility could improve. Managing the endpoints could be better. 

I've worked with the solution for about a year or more. 

The stability is okay It's stable enough. There are no bugs or glitches. It doesn't crash or freeze. 

The solution is scalable.

I haven't escalated anything to support just yet. 

I'm also using Bitlocker and McAfee Disk Encryption.

Although the setup is largely straightforward, there can be some complexity. It's a moderate setup process. 

The deployment typically takes 15 to 20 minutes. It's pretty quick. 

The solution is not difficult to maintain. 

I don't handle any aspects of the pricing or licensing. I'm more on the technical side. 

I'm an end-user. I do integrations with other endpoint protection solutions as well. 

I'm dealing with the latest version.

The product is good. That said, if you focus on only endpoint encryption, then Trend Micro doesn't give you the full scope. There are other vendors outside that only focus on encryption. It's a good product for startups or for starting to learn about encryption. I don't really see this as a complete full endpoint encryption solution.

I'd rate the solution six out of ten. 

We use encryption to secure data and devices. In case you lose your device or your data, this is a major feature that covers everything through encryption.

Encryption is the basic feature, and that is what I like about it. I also like that it is kind of easy to install and easy to configure.

In the next release, it would be better if it was more user-friendly. It is a little complicated for the average technical person. If they can make it more user-friendly, it would be much easier and more helpful. 

I have been using Trend Micro Endpoint Encryption for two to three years.

Trend Micro Endpoint Encryption is quite stable.

Trend Micro Endpoint Encryption is scalable in the sense that if you want to add a different security product with Trend Micro Endpoint Encryption, you can do it. We have about 30 to 40 clients using this solution. 

When we receive a call for technical support, we usually take care of it from our end. We go to the distributor if we cannot solve the issue. We hardly go to Trend Micro itself for support.

Trend Micro Endpoint Encryption is kind of easy to install and easy to configure. It takes about a day or two to implement this solution. One person can implement and maintain this solution.

You have to pay for the license annually.

I would recommend this solution to potential users. If they are going for endpoint security, it is also advantageous to have encryption. They would not have to pay anything extra as they are already paying for endpoint security. But if they want to go for encryption separately, it will cost you a little more.

On a scale from one to ten, I would give Trend Micro Endpoint Encryption an eight.

We use the solution for security features. Trend Micro has an MSP portal where you can create customer accounts, assign some licenses, and make your customers use those licenses from a portal. Trend Micro is ahead of its competitors in providing MSP services to customers.

Trend Micro Endpoint Encryption is stable and easy to use. It's very useful for an MSP company, making it easy and efficient to work.

Security features could be improved.

I have been using Trend Micro Endpoint Encryption for one year.

The product is very stable.

The solution is scalable because it doesn't require an on-premise server installed. Everything is being monitored and managed from the cloud portal, irrespective of the number of agents. You can manage all from one portal.

Vendors are locally present in our country. We contact them via email, etc. We are very flexible with vendor support.

The initial setup is straightforward. One person is enough for it.

An MSP company creates customer accounts from Trend Micro's MSP portal. Then, the customer gets the key. After that, they can log in to the Trend Micro portal. They will see the agent to be downloaded for Windows and Linux. It takes about two or three minutes to deploy.

Deployment can be done by yourself.

The MSP's model or licensing is global and has very reasonable prices. Also, the perpetual license model is reasonable. It's cheap for the assembly companies. Licensing is very straightforward.

More than five to ten technical persons are using the support. We will be able to sell those agents to more than 20 companies.

Only one technical guy is enough for a large company for the installation and the management. Many logs, alarms, and entries are happening in the portal regarding management.

Trend Micro can be a viable option for SMBs looking for a basic EDR or PRT solution. However, for larger organizations or those with highly complex security needs demanding advanced services and sophisticated department knowledge, Trend Micro's capabilities might not be sufficient.

Overall, I rate the solution a seven out of ten.
