Veeam Backup for Google Cloud Reviews

I use Veeam Backup for Google Cloud for backup technology and ensuring reliable solutions for our data protection needs. I also use it to ensure SAP consistency as it was a challenge with native tools.

Veeam Backup for Google Cloud provides significant cost reduction with NETIO Cloud's offering. It serves as a reliable solution for backup and reporting capabilities about the health of the backups. Even though I am not utilizing all tools and options, it meets my comprehensive requirements and allows backup of emails as well, making it a versatile tool.

The licensing could be improved, particularly by providing a 'pay-as-you-go' option through Azure, AWS, or GCP portal itself. This would provide greater flexibility for customers in selecting the best option for them.

I have been using Veeam Backup for Google Cloud for almost three years.

The solution is stable, though not perfect. I would rate it as eight out of ten in terms of stability. There aren't significant crashes or performance drops.

Veeam Backup for Google Cloud is a scalable product. I would rate its scalability as eight out of ten.

Customer service and support are satisfactory. Support is engaging, and I can rate it a ten out of ten.

I previously relied on native tools like Snapshot Backup, but they did not adequately support SAP consistency. This led me to look for alternative solutions, which is why I chose Veeam Backup for Google Cloud.

The initial setup involved creating a design document, getting it approved, and then proceeding with installation and configuration, which took a total of three days.

The installation process involved a consultant from my partner side and one from my side, making it a collaborative effort.

With Veeam's incremental backup option, I experienced a noticeable cost reduction concerning storage expenses. I estimate a thirty to forty percent savings.

The upfront payment license model is not ideal for my cloud-focused strategy. A 'pay-as-you-go' model through Azure would be preferred. 

Overall, I would rate the pricing as six out of ten with the existing model.

I rate Veeam Backup for Google Cloud eight out of ten. 

I recommend it to other companies due to its reliable solutions, significant cost reductions, and comprehensive functionality. Despite most tools not in use, it fulfills my complete range of requirements.

I have expanded my opportunities significantly with Veeam in Brazil. It is beneficial to have a learning task on the Veritas website, as it helps me better understand the tool and prepare for speaking opportunities in Brazil. Although I have a significant case, I am unable to share it because it involves financing a company.

It is beneficial for covering the head of backup. The application backup is excellent, and using Veeam for backing up Kubernetes environments is a valuable tool. I find Veeam to be a good tool for backing up Office 365 and virtual machine environments. There are opportunities for using Veeam in Kubernetes within Google Cloud, and the company benefits from using Veeam because of its extensive experience with Kubernetes and Google.

The solution seems stable.

Veeam offers excellent functionality within Google. Enterprise Manager manages everything across all locations, which I find beneficial. With this tool, I can maintain a strategy that includes having a data set backed up on-premise and another set in the cloud; Enterprise Manager offers a unified vision.

We have a support team in Brazil, and I know the people there. They provide excellent support in Portuguese, which is very important for our Brazilian technical staff. Therefore, I rate their service a ten out of ten.

I am working in one of the IT consultation companies in the Middle East. We work on projects using Veeam Backup for Google Cloud to migrate and back up on-prem environments to the cloud. My role is as a Service Delivery Manager responsible for delivering Veeam, as well as other solutions, to the cloud for customers.

One of the most valuable features of Veeam Backup & Replication is SureBackup. It is highly efficient for data availability because it ensures the restorability of backups taken on a daily basis. This feature is particularly appealing and convenient to customers who want to verify that everything is working correctly with their backups. Additionally, Veeam's scalability, dependent on proxy servers, is efficient and only requires adding necessary proxy and workload policies.

One area for improvement in Veeam Backup & Replication is the migration feature, particularly for cloud migrations, such as with Microsoft Azure. The Azure migration tool allows for replicating original workloads to the cloud with multiple testing options before restoring. It also offers a rollback feature that is very user-friendly. Veeam has the same functionality but not as easily implemented as Azure. Enhancing ease of use for workload switching between locations would be beneficial.

I have extensive experience working with Veeam and have been involved in projects running 26 Veeam servers in different locations while exploring its replication features.

On a scale of one to ten, I would rate the stability of Veeam Backup & Replication between seven and nine.

Veeam Backup & Replication is highly scalable with reliance on proxy servers for efficiency, requiring only the addition of proxy and workload policies.

The initial setup of Veeam Backup & Replication is straightforward and can typically be completed in about fifteen minutes.

Most of our customers have experienced good feedback on their return on investment. That is why they continue to renew their licenses or continually use the product.

In my opinion, Veeam's pricing is convenient compared to other vendors and favorable when considering the market.

I would recommend Veeam Backup for Google Cloud to others. It is one of the options we promote to our customers. I would rate this solution between seven and nine out of ten. Overall, I would rate the solution between seven and nine out of ten.

We use the solution to back up all users' data on the cloud. IT admins need to back up and protect users' data. We back up data on the cloud storage or the on-premises data center storage.

The advantage of this product is that its cloud software makes the solution very high in customer demand. Dealing with cloud solutions is simple and removes many headaches from troubleshooting and implementing the solution.

Some of the prerequisites for Veeam are challenging. For example, it's mandatory to implement a virtual machine so we can implement Veeam on the cloud or on-prem. That could be improved by making the software completely SaaS without depending on prerequisites like virtual machines and on-premises solutions on the customer's premises.

I have worked with the solution for four years. I'm working on the latest update.

The solution is very stable.

I rate Veeam Backup for Google Cloud's scalability a seven out of ten. Around 20 customer organizations are using this solution, and we have five engineers in our technical team.

Our technical team communicates with Veeam's tech support, and I communicate with the sales and presales solution architect, and they are very helpful.

Veeam Backup for Google Cloud’s most valuable feature is data backup and replication.

There could be a feature to take a snapshot for version backup. It will be beneficial to replicate the backup in case the customers delete the files.

We encounter stability issues with the product sometimes.
