It is user-friendly, easy to deploy, and easy to maintain.
The roadmap for the product itself covers all of the features that we are looking for.
It has what we need.

The roadmap for the product itself covers all of the features that we are looking for.
It has what we need.
There are many add-on modules for it.
It would be great if VMware could have a consolidated way of delivering this as software rather than pieces and several add-ons so that you could enjoy the product in its entirety.
There are many add-ons that you have to plugin to enjoy the feature or experience the full power of it.
I have been using VMware vSphere for more than five years.
VMware vSphere is a stable product.
It is very scalable.
They were very helpful in resolving the issue that we had.
The initial setup is easy.
I would recommend this solution to others. It is considered to be a leader within the industry.
I would rate VMware vShpere an eight out of ten.
We have implemented VMware vSphere a lot which is used for Server Virtualization. It has reduced the number of equipment that we need to use in the data centers servers, such as HP, IBM, Dell, and many others. We can use this solution for many use cases, even storage.
We have been able to reduce the amount of time between implementations and the number of systems needed which has allowed us to focus that time somewhere in our organization.
The solution is user-friendly. It is easy to convert, create, and manage systems.
On the older version of VMware vSphere, possibly version four, we had a feature that allowed us to backup Ziploc machines. It has not been available in the newer version such as six or seven. I have been looking for another solution to accomplish the backups but they should bring back this plugin-type tool to allow older backup capabilities.
I have been using this solution for approximately eight years.
The solution is stable.
The solution is easy to scale.
We use Microsoft Hyper-V.
The installation is straightforward.
I have recently implemented version seven and I am monitoring the differences from five to seven.
We have found sometimes when we have some instability it is difficult to get support for the specific issue.
We have saved money from reducing the number of systems needed, the time it takes for someone to do implementations, and the electricity used for the systems.
My advice to those wanting to implement the solution is to make sure they read and know exactly what the solution does, and if there were updates from the previous version they have used, understand the changes before implementing.
I rate VMware vSphere a nine out of ten.
I use VMware vSphere as a regular VM for different workloads and different configurations.
I like the capability of vMotion, DRS, high availability, and resource distribution.
The price could be better. The licensing is definitely expensive and tech support is sometimes frustrating.
I have been using VMware vSphere for 15 or 16 years.
VMware vSphere is a robust and stable product. It doesn't break that often.
Technical support is sometimes frustrating. Lately, we have been dealing with some tech support on SRM and they are not able to solve it.
The initial setup is straightforward. Once you have some understanding, it's straightforward.
The price could be better. The license is definitely expensive.
I don't find anything that I think it would be a bottleneck or any challenge. I've been using it for so many years. It's a robust product, and I don't see anything lacking. I would advise potential users to go for it. It's something you can rely on. It's very robust and doesn't break if you implement it correctly. It actually gives you peace of mind.
On a scale from one to ten, I would give VMware vSphere an eight.
VMware vSphere is user friendly. It is scalable and stable, which are very important attributes for us.
The installation is a little bit complex.
VMware vSphere needs to increase the datastore volume.
I've been using it for 10 years.
It is stable.
It is a scalable solution.
The installation is not overly complex. The integration project took two months, and the upgrade to version 6.7 took a lot of time.
For deployment and maintenance, you need a team of three or four admins and engineers.
We worked with an integrator.
We evaluated Hyper-V.
I would recommend this solution and rate it at ten on a scale from one to ten.
We deliver this solution to our customers and we partner with the vendor. I'm a senior infrastructure solution specialist.
This is a straightforward solution, there's not much troubleshooting required and the work around it is quite simple. I particularly like the virtualization and the ability of the solution to optimize and deliver an automated and orchestrated cloud platform on-prem. They regularly surprise us with great features developed by a very, very sharp R&D team that delivers up-to-date technology with more features and more valuable ideas to enhance and automate the platform with data center.
If you're converting from any other virtualization system to VMware, you will note that the price is significantly higher.
I've been using this solution for 10 years.
The solution is scalable to an unlimited number of hosts.
Technical support is very helpful. They don't deliver the troubleshooting directly, but they understand and collect the logs and provide the procedure to follow in order to reach a solution.
The initial setup is straightforward. VMware is a very, very easy system to implement and to administer, as long as you have at least some sort of experience. You don't need to be an expert but those who have a high-level knowledge of VMware can manage and deliver the crucial tasks.
There are different licensing costs depending on whether you're using the standard or enterprise solution. A socket in the standard solution might cost $1,000 whereas it would cost $4,000 for the enterprise socket.
I rate this solution a nine out of 10.
We use VMware vSphere for virtualization, especially server virtualization.
It's a very useful solution. It's easy to set up, and it's pretty stable.
It could be more scalable.
I have been using VMware vSphere for about ten years.
VMware vSphere is pretty stable.
VMware vSphere can be scalable. We can scale it as much as we want, but it could be more scalable.
The initial setup is pretty good. It took us about an hour to implement this solution.
We implemented VMware vSphere. We need about two people to set up and maintain this solution.
We pay for our license.
I would recommend this solution to new users.
On a scale from one to ten, I would give VMware vSphere a ten.
We use it to create virtual machines and things like that.
The ability to create or clone a virtual environment in a short period of time for testing is most valuable.
The enhancements that come out from time to time usually surpass what we need. We tend to upgrade because we do not want to be behind, but our needs don't continually grow. We are not very fast in terms of appetite for new things. However, we do appreciate that there is a continuous improvement, and for us, it is just a matter of being able to spin up a new environment quickly.
An improvement could be in terms of keeping up with the upgrades. The upgrades could be set in an automated way so that the newer features don't require you to manually update, or you get an option to update automatically. This would be a useful enhancement.
I have been using this solution for three years.
It is very stable.
Their technical support is great.
It has medium complexity. It isn't necessarily easy to set up. After you have set it up, it is easy to enhance.
I would rate VMware vSphere a nine out of 10.
I consider all the features to be of interest.
Improvements should be made to the controller.
I have been using VMware vSphere for between three and five years.
The solution is stable.
The solution is scalable.
The technical support is not too bad, but not the best.
The initial setup is easy but could be moderately improved.
The licensing could be lower.
I am a consultant and reseller.
My advice to others who are considering implementing the solution is they have a good partner.
I rate VMware vSphere as a seven out of ten.
