The number one advantage of TeamViewer for me is its ease of use, specifically as it relates to the client side. By far, one of its best features is the remote access it provides. I can control someone else’s computer, show or teach them how to do something, or fix any problems they are having. Moreso, I have found that TeamViewer is able to handle slow internet connections better than other alternatives can. In terms of scalability, TeamViewer has great potential. Their customer service and support have always been responsive and have met my expectations so far. It is also helpful that TeamViewer recently started supporting iOS devices. In addition, if your organization relies a lot on collaboration and team cooperation, it is well suited for that. One negative thing I have experienced with TeamViewer is sometimes a ‘silent’ crash will occur, prompting you to relaunch the application. Other than that, I find it to be convenient, efficient, and stable.
Like TeamViewer, TeamViewer Tensor is also simple to use, easy to configure, and deemed to be reliable for the most part. You will not have connectivity issues, whether you are behind a firewall or not. I also like that TeamViewer Tensor gives you the ability to perform administrative tasks, which is often restricted by other competitive tools. I would prefer it if there was a way to create subgroups with Tensor in a way that would allow only members of the subgroup to be granted access to other members. Right now, that is not the case; All members of a group can currently see anybody else in the group. It would be nice to have the option to delegate specific permissions to group members. Besides that, scalability is good, support has been great, and I had no issues with the initial setup.
Conclusion: TeamViewer is more dependable and works better than TeamViewer Tensor, but it is more expensive. Despite the price, I believe TeamViewer is the best remote access product that you will find.
