During my internship, I worked for a pharmaceutical client where I used Informatica PowerCenter for extracting data and loading it into other tools. In my internship, I loaded the data into Informatica MDM, but in my current project, I am using Informatica PowerCenter and loading the data into Oracle SQL Developer and also GCP BigQuery. One of the workflows I can recall recently is that I am presently working for a restaurant client. We have sales data that we receive daily. Once we get the end-of-day site closure for every site, we receive the sales data from SQL Server, which is our source. From Informatica PowerCenter, we have one workflow named INS010 Duplicate Record, which removes all the duplicates. It is a data validation and data cleansing workflow in Informatica that has multiple sessions. The sessions run simultaneously, and the workflow executes to remove all the duplicates. These duplicate records are then entered into Oracle SQL Developer, which is our final target table. Some other scenarios I can recall are that we have some replication jobs that back up the data. If there is any crash or if we need historical data from the past five years, we can easily extract the data from there. There are also some replication jobs built into Informatica PowerCenter. The development process improved significantly once we switched to Informatica PowerCenter. Before, we used SnapLogic IPaaS tool, where around ten to fifteen developers were needed to create the same workflows, but when we switched to Informatica PowerCenter, the number of people reduced to half. Five to six developers are more than enough to create the same workflows.

My main use case for Informatica PowerCenter is to start a workflow, to schedule workflows, and basically, I'm using it for orchestration. I can give you a specific example of a workflow I've scheduled or orchestrated with Informatica PowerCenter; one of the workflow's names is DEH, which is an OTC job that runs every day and provides users with several files. Informatica PowerCenter is used to schedule some workflows, and for example, there are several PUS jobs that run daily, and we also trigger them from Informatica PowerCenter. Some of the jobs, Costco and Walmart as well as Ingram, are some of the vendors from which we load data through PowerCenter. Regarding how I'm using Informatica PowerCenter with vendors, we are using it to schedule jobs on a weekly basis for some vendors, while for others, we load files on a daily basis, so we use it on a regular basis.
I have worked with Informatica PowerCenter for almost six years. My usual use cases for Informatica PowerCenter involve creating multiple mappings that include loading SCD dimensions and facts, along with loading some transaction data from different files, APIs, or message queues to tables.

For the most part, I use Informatica PowerCenter ( /products/informatica-powercenter-reviews ) for dimensional modeling, ETL basically. Extract, Transform, Load. I connect to a variety of sources, get the data, extract the data, transform and load into Stage and ultimately into dimensional model targets.
I use Informatica PowerCenter ( /products/informatica-powercenter-reviews ) for data warehousing. I integrate information from multiple sources, including IBM and Oracle databases, into a uniform form for data warehousing. This ensures that the data is ready for analysis.
Informatica PowerCenter's on prem version is not for sale. Informatica only sells the cloud version of PowerCenter, while the on-prem version is like a legacy tool. Informatica does maintenance and upgrades for existing customers. Informatica wants new customers to go to the cloud data management platform or something.
Informatica PowerCenter is basically used for data integration and ETL processing, data extraction from different heterogeneous sources, and putting that data into different relational databases.

The solution is basically used for anything and everything that we process, for example, from the SQL Server, from other application sources like Oracle, from Flatfiles, or loading into these kinds of sources. We use it for pretty much everything.
We have several uses cases for Informatica PowerCenter. We ingest data from different sources, for example, from API or other databases. We also apply data transformations in almost all cases via Informatica PowerCenter, to aggregate the data. We also check the integrity of the data and improve the data quality by applying some rules. We specify and identify all the rules and the methodology to apply the rules. We also participate in rule setting, and also check the test cycles for businesses.

Informatica PowerCenter is an ETL data integration platform. It's all part of the data warehouse's extract, transform, and load process. Data is extracted from all source systems, transformed, and loaded into a data warehouse.
My experience is in the semiconductor industry with our customers using the Azure supply chain. We have built-in the AIS system, IBM and Db2. We transfer data from SQL Server to MongoDB and transfer the data to Db2. Security is very important, the solution is deployed to the private cloud. We assigned five people to build the project. Informatica PowerCenter is built into the technology supply system. I use the solution to transfer the MS data system to the supply chain system.
I'm working for a casino, and we use this solution in our company to replicate different databases, such as from Oracle to Teradata. Most of the time, it is used for replication, but sometimes, it is also used for doing some calculations, additions, or unions for ETL. It is currently deployed on-premises, but we will be moving to a cloud solution by the end of the year. We are currently doing a proof of concept and evaluating a cloud solution from Informatica.

Our primary use cases of PowerCenter are database regulatory reporting cases. Both sides are suitable for us to net trace metadata and it's easy to develop or hedge, after production as well. It's also easy to understand the steps or ETL. I'm working with the latest update, and it's deployed on-prem.

We are implementing our master data management integration solution. The idea is to have the data cleaned, and have a catalog set up so that we have a library we can consult to see what type of data is being used. At the same time, have a tool to provide a three hundred and sixty-degree view of our customer data. We will also have a unique repository and a data link that we're setting up in Azure. We will be moving all of our storage to the cloud so that we have a single repository, and this data will be accessible by our tools such as Tableau, for integration with our reporting.
