My main use case for Adobe Captivate is to create interactive e-learning content including training courses, software simulations, and quizzes.

Adobe Captivate has impacted my organization positively. Since using Adobe Captivate, I have noticed specific outcomes and improvements in my organization, including saving time and cost. We have saved approximately 15 to 20% in time and cost after using Adobe Captivate.

The best features Adobe Captivate offers are interactive course creation, software simulation, Branching Scenarios, Responsive Design, and support for LMS standards like SCORM and xAPI.

I believe Adobe Captivate can be improved because the tool can feel complex for beginners, and the performance may slow down for large or highly interactive projects.

I have been using Adobe Captivate for almost five years.

Adobe Captivate is stable.

Adobe Captivate is scalable.

The customer support for Adobe Captivate is excellent.

My experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing shows that Adobe Captivate follows a subscription-based licensing model, which is priced higher than basic authoring tools but offers advanced features suitable for enterprise training needs.

I have seen a return on investment in that time is saved.

I would recommend Adobe Captivate for organizations that need advanced interactive e-learning content and have dedicated training or L&D teams.

We have workflows to handle collaboration between team members when working on Adobe Captivate projects.

We track learner progress and performance using Adobe Captivate through the reporting feature that Adobe Captivate provides to manage this information.

We are using the latest version to manage version control for Adobe Captivate projects.

There is a process we follow to handle content updates or revisions in Adobe Captivate once a course is published to keep the materials current.

I am unaware of how to ensure content created in Adobe Captivate is accessible to all learners, including those with disabilities.

We use the solution for e-learning projects.

It helps us create level 3 e-learning with the help of time-saving features such as advanced actions with variables.  

Adobe Captivate is an E-learning software. In which you can create complex E-learnings from levels 1-4. There are two versions, Captivate Classic 2019 and Newly launched Captivate 2023. The new version, Captivate 2023, has an intuitive interface, easy to use, and lets you create responsive e-learning. 

The older or classic version of Adobe Captivate needs much improvement because everything looks very old. It needs to improve how it works. Also, new features are missing too. The latest version is very good and unique in terms of work, but the level of complexity you can achieve it limited.

I have been using Adobe Captivate for ten years.

Adobe Captivate 2019 wasn't very stable on Mac.

I rate the solution's stability a seven out of ten.

We are using Adobe Articulate Storyline side by side with this solution. I prefer Captivate because it works on Windows and Mac, whereas Storyline only works on Windows.

The initial setup is straightforward and takes 30 minutes, depending on the download speed. Just download and get started with the solution.

There is a return on investment because I work with many clients on great projects in e-learning.  But It is declining in the market with fewer customer demands.

There is no Captivate subscription in India, whereas US and other markets have. It is cheaper than its competitors.

I recommend making it work more simple. Adobe can make the software innovative and easy to use.

Overall, I rate the solution an eight out of ten.

I primarily use Adobe Captivate for instructional design. I use it to create and modify e-learning modules.

The most valuable features are the templates that come with the package, the recording features, as well as the surveys and quizzes that you can create with it.

I also like the content library.

The text to speech capability needs to be improved. The voice sounds automated and I would like to have a more natural-sounding voice. There should be more selections available for voices, as well such as Spanish voices, British voices, etc.

We have been using Adobe Captivate for about five years.

I have never had problems with stability, either with the previous version or the current version.

We have about five people in the firm who use this product. There are designers like me, but there are also managers who have to capture simulations.

We have not needed to scale it. This product is expensive and not one that we would buy for many people in the firm because it only has specific uses.

I have not needed to contact Adobe technical support.

We did not use another similar solution prior to Abobe Captivate.

The initial setup was straightforward.

This product is part of the larger Adobe Creative Cloud offering, which costs about $600 USD per year.

We now use multiple solutions that include Captivate, Camtasia, and Storyline.

Captivate is running neck and neck with Storyline has more flexibility when it comes to creating instructional materials. We use Captivate, on the other hand, mostly for corporate training.

This is a good product, although it is not my preferred tool of choice. Storyline has really drawn my attention.

I would rate this solution a nine out of ten.

Creates short training modules and/or videos which look cooler than a PowerPoint file. Our IT department was looking for some puny short videos for our new company website, but could not afford to have them professionally done, 

It helped us bring in-house what would have otherwise been extremely costly projects. When we are working with limited budget constraints, it is the crafty who get bonuses.

Automatic responsive designs allow us to not have to code for any eLearning modules. Also, the naturally cool feel that you can generate from this solution allows us to mock up any website for training purposes.  

• I would love to see a "For Dummies" option. It gets pretty extensive in its level of intricacies and options offered. 
• I would love a quick widget which walks novices through the process along with descriptive output options.  

We use Adobe Captivate 5.5 with Adobe Technical Communication Suite 3.5 to produce Technical How-to videos. After an initial ramp up, the product works as well as other products such as Camtasia. If you have Technical Support in your package, call them even for how to do some things. Be patient. Eventually they make sure that they can help you. Save the number in your contacts because it takes quite a bit of time to find the right number on their website.

Getting started with Captivate has been a struggle for two of us on our team. One just turned to another product because they found the interface, the tutorials, and the help not very useful. I spent almost a whole day trying to work on an issue but the Support Staff person eventually helped me solve the issue.

The following workflow turns out to work for short videos.
1 ) Record the video without narration
2) Add audio using the Text-to-Speech option
3) Use the Text-to-Speech for your final video or use it as a script to narrate yourself or send out for professional treatment.
