I use Kaspersky Next EDR Foundations for endpoint detection and response.

When considering features or capabilities of Kaspersky Next EDR Foundations that I have found most valuable, it appears similar to other vendors, and I don't find a unique feature in it as it looks comparable to any other EDR solution. However, we purchased it because we have had Kaspersky Endpoint for 10 years, so it has fantastic integration between EDR and the endpoint. Additionally, Kaspersky is one of the famous leaders in endpoint protection in the world.

The centralized management console of Kaspersky Next EDR Foundations has helped me streamline my security protocols significantly. This helps me a great deal because we are a large enterprise and we need centralization. It simplifies operations for us. We have many branches around Cairo, which is the capital of Egypt, and because we need centralization, we cannot perform our tasks without it.

Kaspersky Next EDR Foundations could be improved if it depended more on artificial intelligence, as other vendors such as CrowdStrike do.

I have used this solution for four years.

I do communicate regularly with the technical support of Kaspersky Next EDR Foundations. The technical support is nice and professional.

I did not use a different solution before Kaspersky Next EDR Foundations, although I am aware of many other solutions available in the market.

I participated in the initial setup of Kaspersky Next EDR Foundations and I manage it. The setup was very easy with no challenges whatsoever. The process was smooth.

I needed endpoint protection, which is one of the main products in security to secure the endpoint. We do not use Kaspersky Security for Mail Server, but we have Kaspersky Endpoint and EDR. We only have two products from Kaspersky: Kaspersky Endpoint and EDR.

I decided to go with Kaspersky Next EDR Foundations because we already had antivirus and endpoint protection from Kaspersky. Purchasing EDR from the same vendor improves the security picture overall, as we now have both the endpoint and EDR from the same vendor.

Multilayered security approaches such as firewalls and web controls are essential for risk management in my organization. We have layers of security including firewalls, WAF, endpoint protection, and segmentation. We approve the defense in depth technique, which is important in security today. Layers of security contribute to defending our enterprise and organization as a whole. If one layer fails, another layer can provide protection. Without these layers, if one fails, the enterprise would be breached, so layers in security are a must.

We use the AI-driven threat intelligence feature that is embedded in the EDR. The AI-driven threat intelligence has helped my threat management significantly, as it helps me catch many threats. It is the main function of the solution. Overall, it is a nice product that many companies use, but from a technical perspective, all EDRs are similar.

We do not utilize the mobile security features of Kaspersky Next EDR Foundations as we do not have that requirement. Regarding pricing, Kaspersky Next EDR Foundations is suitable and not expensive. My overall rating for this solution is eight out of ten.

Most use cases involve customers preferring EDR, Optimum, or looking for discovery, quarantine, and EDR-related capabilities. There are also cloud-related customers, but very few.

Most customers usually use Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud for Cloud Pro, Cloud Plus, and EDR.

The solution includes Web Control, Device Control, and Application Control features, along with BitLocker encryption. Endpoint Detection and Response functionality includes root cause analysis and device isolation. Additional features include malware scanning, database update scans, device installation, and policy updates. The solution supports Windows, Mac, Android, and iOS.

Recent upgrades have occurred, but some customers question why certain options are disabled. Previously these options were functional. Changes occur without notification or updates from the Kaspersky team, making it difficult to prepare for modifications. Additionally, when cloud console maintenance occurs, users do not receive updates. They are unable to access the console directly. For example, if a customer suddenly experiences an issue on the website while the console is under maintenance, it becomes impossible to provide or allow access through the cloud console.

I have been working with Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud for approximately two years and two months.

Mobile security implementation is rare. Installing packages has become challenging on user machines. Previously, a direct application was available in the Play Store for mobile app downloads, but recent changes have made it more complex to install from the Apple Store or Play Store.

Mobile device configuration is particularly challenging. Installing the mobile app is difficult as users cannot download it directly from the Play Store or receive instructions through cloud consoles. The installation and configuration process is time-consuming.

Once installation is complete, all other functions work properly, including desired blocking features. If the configuration component and app were available directly on the Play Store, it would simplify the process for both us and customers who need to install the application and add licensing.

Currently there are no issues with stability, but when issues arise, there is a delayed response from the support team.

I have experience with Kaspersky Antivirus Endpoint, specifically Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business and cloud solutions. I work with Kaspersky EDR, MDR, email services, and Optimum foundation, providing support for all Kaspersky-related products.

Mail server functionality is good, with most customers using it under the cloud for Kaspersky mail services, though there are few mail server customers.

Regarding installation, while Kaspersky-specific installations pose no issues, SQL-related components can be problematic. When SQL issues arise, Kaspersky support directs users to SQL teams. If SQL database was directly built into the Kaspersky application, this would not be an issue. Installing separate SQL and security servers becomes complicated, whereas other antivirus applications typically install databases by default.

On a scale of 1-10, I rate this solution a 7.

I would confidently say that Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud is among the most effective solutions available, particularly due to its robust vulnerability and threat assessment capabilities.

One standout feature is its email gateway protection, which has proven highly efficient in safeguarding communication channels. Additionally, the seamless integration with Microsoft Office 365 has added significant value and has been particularly beneficial over the past few weeks.

In terms of endpoint protection, I am thoroughly satisfied with its performance. The solution has been stable, reliable, and comprehensive, leaving little to no room for improvement at this stage.

Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud has proven to be a robust and comprehensive solution for endpoint protection. So far, no major negative features have been observed. However, email security integration with Microsoft 365 has room for improvement. In a recent real-world incident, a company received 10 phishing emails, of which only three were blocked by the system. Enhancing detection accuracy to block 7 or more would significantly improve trust and effectiveness.

With the on-premises version, there's a known issue where assigning a device to a new group results in it being auto-assigned back to the previous group. Fixing this bug would greatly streamline device management.

Additionally, in the cloud version, once a device is assigned to a user, it cannot be reassigned without deleting the user or the device entirely. It would be far more user-friendly if the platform allowed simple reassignment or de-assignment, returning the device to an "unassigned" state.

As for automated behavioral analysis, while current functionality is based on machine learning, upgrading to true AI-powered detection could bring substantial improvements. Ideally, the system should proactively flag potential threats, and offer administrators the option to either allow or block applications based on intelligent risk analysis

We have been utilizing Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud for approximately three years, and it has consistently proven to be a reliable and effective solution for our security needs.

I am completely satisfied and don’t see much room for improvement, as it is working exceptionally well.

In Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud, once a device is assigned to a user, it cannot be reassigned directly to another user. For instance, if a device changes hands—from one user to another—we are required to delete the existing user or the device and then perform a fresh assignment. This process could be improved by allowing easier reassignment of devices within the console without requiring deletion.

I would rate the technical support at three points because, at times, their response can be slow, and they often primarily share knowledge base articles rather than providing more comprehensive assistance.

Additionally, while live support sessions would be very helpful—especially for critical issues—these sessions should be improved to justify the higher cost of their support packages. Customers who use the solution but do not have paid support should also be offered some level of assistance, such as a limited number of support interactions per month (for example, three), to ensure basic support needs are met.

The setup process is straightforward and simple.

The implementation was done via public deployment. We accessed cloud.kaspersky.com, deployed the solution remotely to the client, sent instructions to the endpoint devices, and then completed the deployment through remote access.

Regarding the product cost, I believe it is reasonable and well-balanced—not too cheap, but also not excessively expensive.

No advise, its pretty simple

We are currently working with WatchGuard Endpoint Security along with other endpoint protection solutions. In addition, we have previously implemented and used Sangfor Endpoint Secure as part of our portfolio.

We are open to exploring and reviewing other security products, and would be happy to coordinate further via email correspondence.

For the on-premises solution, it would be highly beneficial if the existing bugs were addressed to enhance overall stability. Additionally, it would be ideal if the system could automatically block threats, rather than relying solely on user-defined actions. At a minimum, timely notifications via alerts or email would greatly improve threat visibility and response.

Overall, I would rate Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud a solid 8 out of 10 based on its performance and capabilities.

I already have Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud Optimum on my company, karinoware.com. I am working on Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud Next EDR, the expert console. For endpoints and EDR, I am using it in web filter and application control. I use all features on the policy and mainly the EDR.

I cannot find another problem.

All features in Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud are perfect, and I am interested in working with Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud. The management console is very perfect, but after updates, we face problems in our daily working with export data and central management. I can log in or enter the computer management from report or from asset devices. We contacted support, and they answered all questions. I need to upgrade to XDR also. The support is very good.

I use Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud on both cloud and on-premises infrastructure. At KarinoWare, I use the cloud console, but at other companies I use it on-premises. I purchased Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud from a partner called Soft Trend. They are very excellent and supportive. I have been using this for a long time. I rate this review a 10 out of 10.

Our main use cases for the product include user and application security, protection against ransomware, web threat protection, and email threat protection.

One significant issue for the product is that it is easy to bypass the security by accepting prompts to visit unwanted websites. Its high CPU usage also slows down devices, particularly those with lower specifications like Core i3. 

Additionally, the automatic update feature could be improved as well.

We are switching to Fortinet from Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud because it offers a stronger firewall and better management of packets, input, and output solutions. It automatically blocks threats more effectively.

The setup is relatively easy, requiring only an email and password. I rate the installation process as eight out of ten and the configuration process as six out of ten. For someone familiar with the system, it takes about 30 minutes to complete. 

The solution was not cost-effective; we needed additional solutions to cover our security needs.

The solution is reasonably priced. 

The platform's ability to update the database from my device and manage user profiles is quite effective. It also provides web threat protection by blocking unwanted websites.

It provides multi-layered protection. Although it could be more efficient, it is sufficient for regular purposes.

I would not recommend it based on my experience. I rate it a three out of ten. 

We suggested the solution to our client in Dubai, who required an Android security solution. We gave them a free demo. After the demo, they were satisfied with the solution and explored it. They just needed a basic Android security solution. They didn't know much about Android security or the brands.

Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud has the basic security features for securing the endpoint solution. However, endpoint security alone is not enough. You must have EDR, XDR, and MDR solutions to manage and explore other network devices. In my case, basic endpoint security is required to fulfill the compliance. Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud is a very good solution for endpoint protection.

Kaspersky should provide more options. Kaspersky's cloud solution should be improved because the on-premises features are unavailable in the cloud. You get full functionality with the solution's on-premises version, but when you do not get them in the cloud version.

I rate the solution’s stability an eight out of ten.

Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud is a scalable solution that can support more users. Two to three customers were using the solution in my previous organization. We have deployed Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud for one user in my current organization.

The solution's initial setup is straightforward. Kaspersky's documentation provides step-by-step instructions for easily deploying the solution.

The solution provides endpoint security and secures your endpoints, including servers or end devices like mobiles, laptops, and desktops.

Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud is a cost-effective solution. The solution’s licensing is very good. Customers have to pay a yearly licensing fee for the tool.

In Pakistan, Kaspersky or Trend Micro is mostly used for deployment and endpoint security solutions. If price is not a concern, I recommend going with Trend Micro.

Users should ask about the policies and usage of their endpoint security software because they don't know about it. They just know that they're installing the software, and they don't need to do anything else.

Overall, I rate the solution an eight out of ten.

My company uses KasperskyEndpoint Security Cloud to manage our endpoint devices, servers, laptops, and mobile phones, including platforms like Android and iOS.

In Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud, anti-phishing and anti-malware are two very powerful aspects. The vulnerability reporting is also very detailed in the product. Considering the vulnerability report aspect of the solution, I can say there are no false positives when identifying a vulnerability on particular endpoints. By providing false positives, the product tries to let a person know what it does not understand or is unsure about. Though dealing with false positives can be a waste of time, it is one of the good features of the solution since it proves how the solution does its job. As a solution, it goes through each and every application or process that is there in the organization.

Certain shortcomings in the anti-ransomware part of the solution need improvement. XDR and MDR, along with threat hunting, a big step in cybersecurity today, need improvement.

In the future, KasperskyEndpoint Security Cloud should have a Linux distribution package.

I have been using KasperskyEndpoint Security Cloud for seven years. I migrated to the cloud version of the solution in 2021. I am a customer of the solution.

It is a very stable solution. Stability-wise, I rate the solution a nine out of ten.

Scalability-wise, I rate the solution an eight and a half out of ten.

In my company, we currently have 25 endpoints.

In our company, we did face issues because of which we had to contact the solution's technical support twice. I contacted technical support to help me install Kaspersky on a Linux box since Linux's distribution package was not available on the cloud. When a terminal had installation issues, and I was trying to install the endpoints, Kaspersky's support team told me that the issue was with their admin server, and it took them 48 hours to resolve.

The technical team takes time to respond. There was an instance when I reached a ticket on a Friday, and the technical support team responded to me by Tuesday.

The initial setup of KasperskyEndpoint Security Cloud was very easy.

The product's installation process took less than a day to complete since we were using our company's on-premises admin console version of the tool. We could also take backup on the on-premises console. When there is an upgrade in the product's version, it is deployed on all your endpoints within 24 hours.

The solution is moderately priced and cannot be considered an expensive or cheap tool.

Based on certain evaluations, I want to migrate from Kaspersky to Sophos Intercept X.

KasperskyEndpoint Security Cloud is a fantastic software for small and medium businesses but does not really emphasize security and monitoring. It is a good endpoint security tool.

I rate the overall solution an eight and a half out of ten.

The primary use case for this solution is to protect the devices against any kind of attacks. It is essential for having the proper tools to detect suspicious activities, such as malware and ransomware attacks, in our environment. Additionally, the cloud for mail helps detect phishing emails and spam.

I find the EDR service valuable as it adds extra protection and provides a centralized view. This is true especially in the cloud. We can see the types of attacks happening in the network and take the proper actions to stop them or isolate any harmful processes.

While the product provides a good level of protection, we need better support, especially in terms of being kept informed about new threats and specific configurations needed. The quality of support is not meeting expectations, particularly with delayed responses to high-alert tickets.

I have almost five years of experience with the solution overall, and almost one year with the cloud.

In terms of security devices, stability is about feeling comfortable and safe using these products within the organization. It provides good security features. That said, it can be improved and is comparable to other products.

Scalability is acceptable as long as you pay for the new subscription. You can scale it up according to your needs.

The quality of service and support is below my expectations. When we open a ticket, especially a high-alert one, the response is always delayed. In times of high alerts, support should be more responsive to be competitive in the market.

In some of my previous work, we used Symantec and Trend Micro. Additionally, we use Microsoft Defender. I did not switch from these solutions; instead, I use multiple products for layered protection.

The initial setup needs a little bit of expertise. It is not straightforward and requires someone with good skills and background to fully configure and deploy the tools appropriately.

The product is a bit expensive and requires extensive price negotiation with local vendors. Comparable to market pricing, good products generally have similar pricing levels.

I recommend this solution for small and mid-size organizations, but they have to ensure they stay on top of things. Even the most advanced products require proper configuration and security controls to be effective.

Kaspersky has a Cloud Discovery feature. There is no template in Kaspersky. They provide a temporary risk assessment of the cloud services. For example, if we want to block public storage services like OneDrive or Google Drive, we need to specify each individually. The main difference is that Kaspersky's process takes more time because it requires individual input.

Our primary use case for Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud is to ensure comprehensive security for our insurance broker company. We have a dedicated team handling sensitive client data, managing two servers, and leveraging cloud space on AWS. Compliance with regulations necessitates robust security measures. The platform offers essential backup procedures and advanced security systems.

One area where the product could be improved is in its delivery and installation process. There was a delay in receiving and installing the product, which took five days from the time of payment. In today's fast-paced environment, especially in situations like ours, customers expect prompt service, ideally within twenty-four hours. This particular area needs enhancement.

We have installed Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud today.

Feedback from various sources indicated that we made the right choice for our requirements, and our experience confirms this. We have never encountered any issues with the product's stability.

The technical support services are good. However, there was a delay in the technician's arrival, and they may have had other appointments scheduled simultaneously. Despite this issue, we communicated with the technician and eventually completed the installation.
