What needs improvement?
OpenIAM should Improve the product/API documentation on portal which gives more flexibility to developers for product customization and connector development.
It needs to improve the self-service access request feature, which required more customization in v3.6. OpenIAM team is to release v4 very soon .
It's packed with new features and architectural improvements which allow:

Yes, OpenIAM gives a flexibility to use both the Identity along with the Access Management product together.
How was the initial setup?
OpenIAm deployment is very easy and takes 20-30 mins for initial setup. OpenIAM setup installer comes along with JBoss and Tomcat servers with database scripts, which are auto executable during installation.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
OpenIAM offers the flexibility to choose between a subscription and a perpetual model. Both models offer a significant cost savings in comparison to the large vendors.
