What is our primary use case?
We use Opinnate mostly to tighten firewall rules on the optimization side. cleaning shadow rules, deleting expired and disabled rules. The decommission feature is also a nice feature.
The automation and reporting part is also very useful. Cleaning up the use of Duplicate Objects also makes the device lighter. It can also be useful to monitor the traffic of large rules and tighten the rules. We are not using this feature for now; we will experience it soon. Feedback will be provided after our experiences.
How has it helped my organization?
It reduced the operational workload. It lowered the risk scores. The solution was very helpful in rule analysis, hardening and automation of the security plan.
Scanning multiple firewall security devices at the same time is effective in solving any problem. Healthier steps are taken in the automation section by writing a complete policy created as a result of company security policies.
It will be important to ensure this competence's use by working with information security. Therefore, we continue to work on this issue.
What is most valuable?
Valuable features include the ease of use of the web interface, server cloning, ease of upgrades, and 24/7 support availability.
Since the interface of the product is very useful, the problem can be detected quickly in case of a problem. When server X is shut down, and server Y is replaced, we can automate this process instead of manually navigating the rules on all security devices.
Version upgrades can be done quickly.
Most importantly, Opinnate support is very valuable. Whenever we need or want to ask something, we get a quick response.
What needs improvement?
PDF format is not available for Alert Composer. There are file attachment or body content output options.
The other issue is that the range object can be displayed in the rule viewer section. If we know the range object, we provide imaging, but if we do not know the range object, there is no imaging. It also allows adding range object rules when performing server cloning.
In general, however, we have made successful progress since the POC process.

I was using Tufin before. We could not use the server cloning feature actively. There was no Turkish global support or manufacturer office.
