The primary use case is VDI.

| Vice President at ARK Infosolutions Pvt Ltd | 4.5 | Parallels Access is a secure, easy-to-deploy solution suitable for various setups, although its pricing is aggressive. We've seen a 50% user increase recently, but there's potential for improved Mac and Unix support in future releases. |
| CEO at a non-profit with 1-10 employees | 4.5 | Parallels Access is a game-changing tool that lets me control my computer via my iPad, essential due to my physical limitations. However, file transfer issues arise, requiring frequent troubleshooting and reliance on Bluetooth for inconsistent copy-paste functionality. |
| Managing Director at Fara Computer | 4.0 | I find this solution very stable, user-friendly, and easy to set up, especially for SMBs. It performs better than Citrix. While affordable, enterprise scalability is a concern. Overall, I rate it 8/10. |
| Vice President at ARK Infosolutions Pvt Ltd | 5.0 | As a distributor, I find this remote access solution easy to use, stable, and scalable. Deployment is simple. My main challenge is its Windows-only server limitation. Overall, I rate it 10/10 and am very satisfied. |
| Managing Director at Fara Computer | 4.0 | I've used Parallels Access for three years for resource management. It's stable, easy to set up, and cost-effective. Reporting could improve, but I rate it 8/10 and recommend it for VDI potential. |

Parallels Access is a very easy-to-deploy and secure solution. It is good for small as well as large setups. We can start with 15 users, and then it can go up.
There is room for improvement in the pricing policy. The price point is pretty aggressive. Since it is not very resource hungry, it doesn't require dedicated servers like high-end solutions do, so it's easier for customers to integrate it into their own solutions.
In future releases, maybe more support for Macs and Unix so that customers with setups on those platforms can also benefit from the solutions.
I have been distributing this solution for four years.
We haven't faced any major challenges with the product. Once the installation is done, it's there. We rarely receive troubleshooting prompts from customers. For the most part, it's stable. I haven't heard about any escalated issues coming to us at our level.
I would rate the stability a nine out of ten.
It is very easy to scale. It can handle up to maybe 500 to 1000 users, but not more than that. It's not suitable for very large installations. However, for around 100 to 150 or 200 users, it's still manageable to scale up from a small setup. Overall, we found it pretty easy to scale up.
Additionally, Parallels Access has flexible licensing policies, which is beneficial for customers who have intermittent usage or users who are on and off the system. It's a great opportunity for them as well.
I would rate it a nine out of ten.
The initial setup is very easy. It does not take a lot of time.
The deployment model is both on-premises and cloud. When it comes to cloud providers, sometimes it's Microsoft, but nowadays, there are also local cloud providers available because their solutions subsidize expenses. So customers, especially SMB customers, don't mind opting for smaller providers to save on costs.
We have seen at least a 50% increase in the number of users in the past six to nine months. And very few customers have downgraded their licensing. Only some customers who had acquired these licenses due to COVID or other temporary solutions. Some of them have downgraded the number of licenses. Maybe one or two customers even stopped using it because it became an additional requirement for remote work operations. After COVID, people started going back to the office.
It's around $125 per user per year. It is a one-time charge for installation and implementation, which is a small cost we charge to our customers. However, it's not from our solution side. Basically, customers need to have Microsoft RDP, which incurs additional costs from a deployment perspective.
The pricing model is fair enough. It's a pretty decent price compared to the competition.
I would definitely recommend using this solution. Overall, I would rate it a nine out of ten.
Parallels Access is an amazing product and a total game changer. The solution allows me to access and operate my computer through my iPad because I can't physically operate it.
Parallels Access gives me full access and control of the computer, and I can do anything I want remotely. There are many more people in my unique situation with physical limitations who can't access a computer, mouse, keypad, or keyboard. This tool allows me to access it and accomplish anything I want. Hence, it's very important.
When you want to transfer a file from your iPad or remote device to the computer, the copy-and-paste feature doesn't always work. I'd have to turn on the Bluetooth a lot of times and transfer it that way on both devices, which was troublesome. However, it would sometimes randomly work. I could go on my iPad, find whatever I wanted to do, click copy, then go over to the computer through Parallels Access, click paste, and it would randomly work.
I had to call Parallels many times. They would log in and try something, which would temporarily work, but then it wouldn't. When it worked, it made integration between the two things great. That was a very helpful feature that didn't get polished.
I have been using Parallels Access for seven years.
I have experienced some lagging at times with Parallels Access.
Technical support had to guide me through turning on certain file permissions. The support team had to log in remotely, and sometimes, I'd spend an hour or two on the phone to do that. The solution’s technical support is good.
Positive
The solution’s initial setup was pretty easy.
It took around an hour to fully set up the solution.
Overall, I rate the solution a nine out of ten.
The solution is very stable.
It is user-friendly.
It's got a very easy-to-use interface.
The application used to publish for mobile devices is very good. It publishes better than the VDI. The desktop publishing is very, very good.
It is simple to set up.
The scalability is good for smaller businesses.
The solution may not scale well for enterprises.
We've used the solution for five years.
The solution is stable. It's reliable. There are no bugs or glitches.
The scalability is great for small or medium-sized businesses. However, it may not scale well for enterprise-level entities.
Ten people are currently using it in my organization. They are IT specialists.
We do not have plans to increase usage.
I don't get support from Parallels.
We've used other solutions, and this product is better.
I did previously use Citrix XenApp. It's complex in comparison. This one is more simple and user-friendly.
The product offers a very simple setup process. It is not very complex.
I'd rate it a five out of five in terms of ease of implementation.
The solution is pretty much in line with other solutions. However, Citrix is much more expensive.
I'd rate it a four out of five in terms of affordability. While it's relatively affordable everywhere else, in Iran the licensing is quite expensive.
We have a private cloud, on-premise, as our deployment setup.
I'd rate the solution eight out of ten. It's been very good so far.

We primarily use the solution for remote access.
We are selling the product, and we have a system integrator and channel partners, with whom we are building around this. We also have technical capabilities to support the customers.
Right now, whatever we are doing, it's primarily for either your CAD applications or ERP applications which clients want to use remotely. There are certain academic institutes as well that would need this kind of access. Their applications are more from a CAD perspective, and we are exploring more options right now as we diversify our customer base.
What seems to be the most valuable from the customer side is the ease of operation, and the overall experience they have.
It's great that the total deployment can happen completely remotely.
It's an easy solution for customers to pick up and use from day one.
The publishing aspect of the solution is great. Different users can publish applications based on requests, which they couldn't previously do via their VPN. It's easy for them to pick up and publish and then give rights to whomever they choose.
We're just getting used to the solution. We've only been on it for two to three months. We're still learning everything, so it's hard to say if there's anything lacking.
One challenge we do notice is that the application is limited to Windows servers only. If a customer has a Linux server, things get complicated. They should open it up a bit to be more compatible with different types of servers.
We have been signed up with the solution as the distributor in India and we've been working with them for the last two to three months now.
Our impression so far is that stability is quite good. We haven't experienced any bugs or glitches. We haven't had any crashes of the system. It's been very reliable.
Scalability is very simple. If somebody wants to add licenses, it can be done on Slack. That's how simple it is. We had a customer, for example, who bought 50 licenses, and then he wanted to add another 20. That was done very, very seamlessly. If an organization needs to scale, it's a very quick process.
We have a lot of local expertise. For that reason, we've never found a need to reach out to technical support. We've been able to manage in-house just fine if problems arise. We do have access to their marketing team that offers us a lot of support, however, that's more sales related and not so much about troubleshooting problems.
The solution is deployed through remote access only. We don't need to be present. We get access to the server from the customer side, and then we are able to install it, and to implement the solution also.
The deployment is very easy. It only takes a few hours at most to deploy everything. If the customer knows the requirements well, deployment can be even easier and go even faster. If they are unsure of their requirements the process will move a bit more slowly. Otherwise, it's safe to say it's straightforward and not really complex.
We have three people on the technical side and they handle any necessary maintenance. You don't need a big team to handle things. We work with our channel partners in terms of building their own technical capacity.
The licensing costs are about $100 per user.
We are a product distributor. We're an official distributor of Parallels in India.
The solution is very easy to use, and as long as a company gets their requirements right, they shouldn't have any problems. Implementation is easy too. Companies shouldn't be afraid to try it out.
Overall, so far, we've not had many challenges. I don't see any reason for having any challenges at this point in time. We get support from the marketing team of Parallels. They have a wonderful setup. Their process is very good. We get phenomenal help when we need it from the marketing team when we need assistance with clients.
I'd rate the solution ten out of ten as we haven't faced any challenges at all. We've been quite satisfied with the product.
Our primary use case is for hardware resource save and for sending centralized management.
They could improve the reporting.
I have been using Parallels Access for three years.
We don't have problems with stability. Everything is good.
We have ten users in our company and we use Parallels Access twice a day for our applications and desktop.
The initial setup is very easy. It's excellent. We set it up ourselves. It took two hours.
There are no additional costs to standard licensing.
I would rate it an eight out of ten.
In the next release, I would like to see a large VDI. Parallels is the next generation of virtual app and virtual desktop.
