What is our primary use case?
I have been working with my client for almost two years using Zoho Recruit, and then another client as well for approximately six months duration of the project, during which I also used Zoho Recruit for their HR recruiting employees.
For example, I have a client in HR, which means they use Zoho Recruit for recruiting. They integrate Zoho Recruit, for example, with Indeed.com and Jobstreet.com, and we connect Zoho Recruit to Zoho Projects and also to Zoho People for their hiring processes. Purely recruiting is the main process of Zoho Recruit.
What is most valuable?
For me, the integration is most valuable because it is very important to integrate third-party platforms, for example, LinkedIn, hiring processes, or hiring integrations platforms such as Indeed.com or Jobstreet.com. Integration is the most important aspect to me.
Actually, it expanded the number of people who submitted their applications because through integration, it is seamless. For example, after the integration, the job posting will go live on the website or on Facebook or any other social media application. So in a day, there will be numerous submissions. Without manual work, such as manually emailing them to apply or emailing through LinkedIn, they will automatically submit or email the saved application or hiring job details to the applicant.
It is purely drag and drop. For example, if there is any submission, it will notify the recruitment department. Then automatically, it will be connected to their calendar to schedule an interview. That is how the workflow works in Zoho Recruit.
I usually utilize Zoho Analytics for reporting since Zoho Recruit has a built-in report dashboard, so I can easily manage all applications in one dashboard. The good aspect of Zoho Recruit is that it has a built-in dashboard per organization. We can see how many are recruited, how many are in progress, how many are hired, and how many are transferred to Zoho People for hiring processes.
What needs improvement?
At the moment, I do not see any suggestions so far because my requirements for my clients are met, and there is another workaround because I also use Deluge scripting inside Zoho. I am currently happy with Zoho Recruit. It is built-in specifically for recruitment, so if I want to customize some things, that is where Zoho Creator will come into the picture. For now, I am happy using Zoho Recruit because it is user-friendly in terms of UI, and there are no issues from my end.
There is still room for improvement. I rate it seven because of my good experience with Zoho Recruit while implementing my client's requirements. Up until now, they are using it and they are gaining good results. They are not calling me for technical problems, which means it is properly working from their end. For me, I am comfortable with the UI, but if they want to improve it, for example with a design like Canva, then that is something I could suggest. Additionally, integration with AI would be beneficial. I know there is Zia, but it would be good to integrate some AI that is more commonly used such as ChatGPT. Although it will cost to integrate ChatGPT with Zoho, it would be a good outcome.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using this solution just this year.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
So far, it has produced good results throughout my entire experience because it depends on how you develop the system. It is about the integrations and the workflows that you create. It is not just about the posting or the templates, but how you develop the system internally. The team inside the organization are currently using Zoho Recruit that I have implemented for them seamlessly. There is less manual work and more integrations so that they can accomplish more with their work and less on automations.
How are customer service and support?
I do not usually contact customer support. At first, I did not, but right now, I am doing my best. If there is any problem, I will solve it on my own and with my own resources. I do not rely on the technical support because they do not always fully understand the issue and they also rely on their Deluge developer. Most of the time when I call technical support, sometimes I do have some helpful technical support during the evening. However, right now, as much as possible, if I have my own solutions, I will implement them. There are so many resources available, especially with GPTs and other AI tools that can help, so I rely on those.
How would you rate customer service and support?
How was the initial setup?
The first thing that comes to my mind when developing a system from scratch is that I need the business process from the client so I can create my own business process using Zoho applications, especially Zoho Recruit. However, the challenge is if the client or the company does not have any business process to provide to me, that becomes a challenge. There will be many meetings and brainstorming sessions with the owner, recruitment team, or HR department to understand their requirements. This will cost time for me to develop, and then I will not develop in a live system. I will do it in the sandbox system. We will start from the small components, for example, a form, and we will integrate that one with platforms such as Facebook for testing. If after testing it is successful and the client is satisfied, then that is when we will deploy it in the live system.
For example, after testing, sometimes there are some delays with data syncing inside Zoho Recruit, but that is normal within the system. It will take seconds to display rather than minutes. Additionally, for notifications in a workflow, sometimes you need to go back and review what will happen. The most challenging aspect is the brainstorming process. If it is finalized, then it will go live. After that, one of the HR department members might say, "I would like to add this one," so I need to go back and edit or add to a form. That is a bit of a challenge because you need to go back and forth, brainstorm again, test again.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
It is pricey, but it is worth the price. It depends on the requirements of the client. Zoho Recruit is solely for the recruitment process tool within a business. However, the good aspect is that although it is pricey, it is worth it. It also depends on how much the organization uses the application. If you use it daily, then there is no problem with the cost that is spent. However, if there is less use at the moment in your company, then that becomes a lost revenue.
What other advice do I have?
For my clients, using Zoho Recruit means they will not be worried about finding people for a specific role. Through Zoho Recruit and its integrations, they can post a job using Zoho Recruit and it will automatically go live. Then in just a matter of minutes, there will be new submissions, and automatically via workflow, it will be connected to the Zoho calendar or to Calendly or any other calendar that will be connected to Zoho Recruit. Then it will notify the recruitment department and, of course, the boss.
Based on my experience, I would suggest Zoho Recruit for my other clients or for any other people that are looking for a recruitment tool. Apart from the UI being very friendly, the workflow and the integrations are excellent. For example, Zapier, Calendly, Jobstreet.com, and any other applications such as LinkedIn are linkable in Zoho Recruit. It is just drag and drop, but if there is any problem with the integrations, there is minimal issue in Zoho Recruit. You can code that using Zoho Deluge scripting. It is reliable because from my past client during COVID times and until now, they are using it, which means it is stable and reliable. They are generating revenue, and Zoho Recruit has helped them minimize manual work such as emailing applicants and doing follow-ups and interviews. I rate Zoho Recruit as a seven out of ten.
