I use it For marketing automation purposes and for share repurpose purposes.
What is our primary use case?
What is most valuable?
I like that it is an all-in-one system, marketing automation, and CRM tool. It’s really user-friendly and has a really nice app for our sales team to have on the go CRM tool. It’s open source, so it’s really easy to connect to other programs like LeadInfo. Those are the main advantages.
It can integrate really well with other programs, infrastructures, and so on. For example, you can connect with Microsoft Outlook. It’s really good.
What needs improvement?
AI is upcoming, so for reporting and dashboarding, it would be nice to have some AI integrated into the system.
Overall, some AI features can be added. For example, I can ask, like, we have imported conversion rates, and you can ask like, "What is the trend of the conversion of the last half year?" So, more on a reporting side you can get those kinds of AI skills. Not that you have to download an Excel and put it into another AI system to do the analysis, but that it would be possible to do it on its own.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using it for two years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
We didn’t notice anything. So, it has been stable.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
Scaling it up is easy. You just upgrade your contracts, and then we did it half a year ago. It’s rather easy.
How are customer service and support?
In the first year, I faced the challenge that it is a US-based company and that the customer service, I could reach them only at four o’clock in the afternoon. But I think they now have European customer care. So now I can call them during our working hours.
So as for customer support, they made some improvements in this area.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
I used Siebel in the past. I’ve used Microsoft Dynamics. I’ve used SAP.
I’ve explored Salesforce, but we didn’t use all the features of Salesforce. So I did use Salesforce at my previous company.
ActiveCampaign is for medium-sized companies is the better solution because it’s way less complex than the other solutions. Siebel and SAP are really complex, and you can tailor-make them a lot. But for medium-sized companies and even somewhat bigger companies, it’s the better choice.
How was the initial setup?
The installation is really easy. It’s an online application. You can use SSO as well to single sign on. So our IT guys are really happy with it as well.
There is no maintenance. It is automatic.
What about the implementation team?
Just one person is enough to install it, and it takes a few minutes to install. If you just use the basics, then you can do it with one person.
It’s not like an SOC or that kind of system, which takes a hundred consultants to set up.
What was our ROI?
There is definitely ROI. For example, around 15% in time in not having to email, excel, all this stuff around. So, task management is a big highlight of the ActiveCampaign system.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
The development costs are lower because you don’t have to have consultants changing and all that stuff.
I feel that it’s a bit cheaper than the other systems.
What other advice do I have?
Overall, I would rate it a nine out of ten.
