The most valuable feature is the ability to do multiple-read and single-write. These are the kinds of features that we were interested in, and Aurora takes care of that natively.
Amazon Aurora simplifies database management with hands-off activities, MySQL or PostgreSQL compatibility, and custom read and write endpoints. It offers scalability, seamless AWS integration, and features like storage scaling and numerous read replicas. While highly efficient, some clients find it costly and desire more developer-focused enhancements. Migration challenges exist, especially with PostgreSQL. Future improvements could include more AI features and performance insights using tools like SolarWinds.
