CA App Synthetic Monitor Reviews Summary
Author infoRatingReview Summary
System Administrator at a tech services company with 11-50 employees4.0I use CA App Synthetic Monitor for SSL traffic encryption, but I find the log monitoring process difficult compared to other vendors like Fortinet and Cisco. While we previously used different products, we are considering alternatives due to high costs.
Advisor Architecture & Technology with 501-1,000 employees3.5I've used CA App Synthetic Monitor for a year. It provides valuable historical data and availability stats, simplifying outage discussions. Setup was easy, and it met most of my needs, but the pricing is complex, and I desire more delegation capabilities.
Tech Specialist at a financial services firm with 10,001+ employees3.0I value its easy synthetic transaction setup for SLAs. While deployment and stability are good, I found initial setup complex. The RBMS component is limited, and support often requires escalation.

The internal monitoring ability was a large contributor for us. Allowing certain people to only see certain data would be an improvement.

It helps managers in measuring application SLAs. The RBMS component is limited as you can only record using Internet Explorer.
