Cisco Duo seems very scalable; in my experience, I started with a small-medium business, and in my last contracting position, it was a large one for a major worldwide airline that had hundreds of thousands of devices that could use Cisco Duo, and it scaled very well.

For one of my clients, the ROI was somewhere between 25 to 27 percent in year one.

The feature of Cisco Duo that I prefer the most is the policies, being able to control what we need to within the policies. You can get pretty granular.

Looking back at my initial investment in Cisco Duo versus the total value it has delivered over time, that choice has paid off for my company massively.

Duo features benefit my company by making logins more secure and simpler. Everything is in one box, so we don't have multiple servers trying to do the same thing.

The biggest benefit of Cisco Duo for my customers is the license because they count licenses for the user—one user can use many applications integrated with Cisco Duo.

You can do online and offline authentication.

Often, people do not receive expiration messages, and sometimes, for security reasons, accounts get disabled without notifying the end user, so they mistakenly think something has gone wrong when it really just needs to be re-enabled on the external system.

Cisco Duo is definitely not doing things that others are not doing, so there is no unique selling proposition.

Improving Cisco Duo might involve alerting us about telephony credits when people receive texts. We hit zero at one point, and we were running around in circles without any idea until I discovered it. That's my only complaint.

When we try to sell Cisco Duo for any license, sometimes customers approach us and say that Cisco Duo is expensive compared to competitors or that the features are not as good.

I would appreciate seeing Cisco Duo improved with a tighter integration with Active Directory to secure not just Remote Desktop to a server, but all the remote levels of connection that you can make to a server.

Cisco Duo has not helped my company reduce its overall authentication-related costs, as it is a cost above what we already have.

An enhancement they might make is if they can log it to Splunk since they're big into Splunk. Instead of me having to go into that portal to look at things when someone is trying to log in and they forgot their password, I can look in and tell them they forgot their password or didn't respond to the prompt. That would be an improvement.

Cisco Duo is stable, but occasionally there are emails about incidents that affect some services temporarily.

Cisco Duo can be improved by exploring a way to make it a more seamless integration and by deploying an in-house server.
