Edward Carbutt - PeerSpot reviewer
Offers multi-tenancy architecture, both in terms of functionality and reporting, requires minimal configuration and no-code deployment
We're still biased towards our previous, more mature product. 4me still needs to reach that level of maturity. However, for most users, the product will do what they need. It's only when you have mature service management processes and need deeper integrations at the process level that you might encounter some limitations. But for less mature needs, 4me works well.

Improved problem-solving and has a user-friendly knowledge base
The primary benefit of ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus is its ease of use. It provides a simpler and more intuitive interface for creating semi-automated use cases and managing problem solutions. This simplicity makes it particularly suitable for less technical staff to use effectively. Additionally, its ability to interpret issues and offer solutions based on its knowledge base makes problem-solving faster. The deployment and use of all policies and user cases are seamless.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"It offers a comprehensive set of features without requiring additional payments for each feature."
"The multi-tenancy architecture, both in terms of functionality and reporting, is the best feature. It is a really well-thought, designed, and developed part of this product."
"The solution is highly stable."
"I like their request management as well as their project management."
"What I found most valuable in ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus is its ticketing function plus change management, which helps us monitor all service requests within the team and even extend the requests to level two support."
"The most valuable features are project management, change management, and the flow according to the mail chain."
"While I see the normal features of a ticketing system in ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus, a good workflow engine is definitely present."
"ServiceDesk Plus stands out due to its ease of implementation."
"There's no problem with the software."
"It ensures the tracking of all costs for end-user issues."
"We not only handle tickets, but also requests from many departments. All are easy to manage."
"The product is extremely user-friendly. It is easy to build the workflows and electronic forms."

Cons

"We would like to be able to customize and brand the solution, or at least the majority of its features and dashboards, particularly those that will be used by a large number of people."
"Asset Discovery is a feature that should be added."
"One area where I believe there's room for improvement in the 4me system is the absence of an asset discovery tool."
"We're still biased towards our previous, more mature product. 4me still needs to reach that level of maturity."
"Customization has room for improvement in ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus."
"There are some performance issues. The solution we used before this ran through a centralized server for remote control and it was much more responsive than this one is. There is a bit of a lag with the remote control option."
"It would be better if they could just bring up interface changes because, from the past five years, I don't see any difference in the way or look and feel of the application."
"The solution’s reporting could be improved."
"The current MDM is very basic and should be expanded."
"I would also like to see better integration with external software. It is possible, but it is tough. The APIs are not very flexible, so you really have to write a lot of code to create that integration. Opening it up for external integration would allow for easier customization of the existing autobox workflows. It would help with the user's perception."
"I expected more features than it has. The flexibility is missing. I also was expecting a different level of configuration and segregation."
"The UI for the app needs improvement."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The pricing is expensive."
"This pricing falls on the lower end of the spectrum, making it a cost-effective option."
"The licensing costs on the website are about $60 for pay-as-you-go. And then it decreases based on volume discounts or something."
"It is the most affordable because it is priced per month per user."
"For 90 service agents and our need for a cloud solution with incident management and service request management, it annually costs around 12,000. If you need additional development or deployment support from the vendor, there might be an additional cost."
"As compared to a lot of systems out there, it is more affordable."
"It is not an expensive solution."
"ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus' pricing is reasonable."
"ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus is a reasonably priced product."
"We use the cloud model, which is subscription-based, and each year, the subscription fees seem to go up, making it a more expensive solution."
"It is cheaper than its competitors."
"ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus has reasonable pricing because my colleagues mentioned that the solution is more cost-effective than the previous one the company used."
