Reliable image backups have protected our HMIs and simplified on‑premises recovery
We have not tried the vulnerability assessment feature yet because we have a different set of protocols for our cybersecurity. We conduct audits and plug the gaps as part of our security approach. We are not using AI with the anti-malware from Acronis; we are using it only for backup and recovery. On the backup and restoration side with Acronis Backup, some on-premises AI features which can detect anomalies may be something which would improve the product significantly. Otherwise, we are not very comfortable with cloud-based solutions at this time. We are looking for products which are entirely on-premises, so they remain within our control.

Using the app is straightforward with easy buttons to click on.
Customer Service: We didn't contact their customer service at any point because the backup and recovery process is pretty straightforward. But they have a customer support email and phone just in case. Technical Support: CloudAlly can be used by a non-techie person because it's simple. We didn't contact the technical support, but it's available for any user who may encounter a problem.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"In terms of system-critical support, Acronis' technical support does really well. I would give them an eight out of ten for that."
"Acronis has a very rich functionality."
"It has improved the efficiency of work."
"Upon discovering Acronis, I was fascinated by the flexible granular detailed features of 'what to and where to (multiple locations)' backup and its central management capabilities as opposed to Windows' local system administration."
"It's always stable. It's very good, useful, and user-friendly."
"The ability to clone backups."
"This is a full software so deployment time is very quick."
"It works with different types of partitions or different OSs."
"Definitely an impressive ROI because the app is inexpensive and saves us time, headaches plus slow computer devices that could be jammed with huge data."
"The user-friendly interface of CloudAlly significantly enhances data protection."
"CloudAlly provides a unique solution for every major email application."
"With this solution, its remarkable to see that ease of use means ease of use."

Cons

"Product has been very unstable since version 10 and all versions since then."
"Installation could be easier."
"On the cloud side, security could always be better."
"The initial installation of the product was difficult."
"The solution could use a single sign-on integration that can default to the admin dashboard. Right now, it's only username and password. If you had had an additional two-factor authentication, this would be beneficial for me."
"GUI for management of backups. Using 11.5 more difficult with keeping on tabs with all backup schedules and status of backups, even when using the management console feature of the software."
"When an error occurs, the information is not always easy to understand and these messages should be made more clear."
"MS Exchange and SQL backups are a little slow and odd to setup."
"CloudAlly can improve in the areas of reporting, especially regarding backup statistics and backup failures presented in pie graphs and charts."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"This is an affordable product and fits within our customers' budgets."
"We pay a yearly subscription fee and the pricing is reasonable."
"We have a Cyber Cloud backup license and we have on-premises storage. Both can be useful for our customers."
"I would rate the solution’s pricing an eight out of ten. The tool’s subscription is yearly."
"The price of the solution is expensive and could be reduced a little."
"The pricing is reasonable. However, it depends on the storage that you use. It would be great to have a package that we can use up to a certain size of the backup, this would allow us to know what the price is going to be up to that capacity."
"I think that the prices of the product go up every year. If one is extremely expensive and ten is absolutely cheap, I rate the product price as six."
"The pricing is comparable to the newest solution available on the market, Altaro."
