Using the app is straightforward with easy buttons to click on.
Customer Service: We didn't contact their customer service at any point because the backup and recovery process is pretty straightforward. But they have a customer support email and phone just in case. Technical Support: CloudAlly can be used by a non-techie person because it's simple. We didn't contact the technical support, but it's available for any user who may encounter a problem.

Backup has protected our office data and now restores individual emails while admins configure settings
Although Veeam Data Cloud for Microsoft 365 is a Backup as a Service, it should give slight leverage to the admins to do more of their own configurations. When it comes to Software as a Service, we do need to agree on certain things, as we do not have much control over the software. If Veeam Data Cloud for Microsoft 365 can improve, it would be better. It could be slightly better, but it is acceptable. As long as support is provided in a timely manner, it is good. I cannot tell it is fully bad or fully good. If I were to give a rating of one to five, I might give 3.5 to four. Rather than giving a help database, which is an ocean of information to search through ourselves, we should be able to open a ticket and have them guide us on how to do it. As an end-user, different levels of admins exist—a fresh admin and a more experienced admin. They need to encourage us to open a ticket quickly, and from there they should guide us straightforwardly with the steps to follow to achieve the desired outcome.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The user-friendly interface of CloudAlly significantly enhances data protection."
"It’s amazing how the solution helps restore old data."
"The solution helps reduce our workload."
"Veeam is affordable and end-to-end configuration is straightforward, whether you're going from source to destination or vice versa. Retrieval is also easy."
"The product is very stable and performs exceptionally well."
"The tool's most valuable feature is its integration with M365. Its GUI is intuitive and not bad. The granular recovery options for VMs have been useful, though not as crucial as Office 365 integration, which is why we use it. Granular recovery depends on the specific problems our customers face."
"Veeam Backup does backup and restore very well."
"The most valuable features of Veeam Backup for Office 365 are the ease of use and instant back and restore."
"Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 is reliable and easy to use."

Cons

"CloudAlly can improve in the areas of reporting, especially regarding backup statistics and backup failures presented in pie graphs and charts."
"Veaam Backup can be confusing for customers when they start trying to understand how to use the product in multiple environments."
"Microsoft currently saves only two months of conversation history, and it would be better if Veeam could focus on backing up more than two months of conversation data."
"While there really is nothing wrong with the product some small improvements in the interface could make it even easier to use."
"The documentation for the installation is good. However, if you are new to the environment the installation could be difficult. The first time we did it it took approximately four days."
"The solution needs to improve its speed."
"The product cannot back up Active Directory objects while its competitors can. Self-service power enables us to deal with service providers. We provide services for our clients, so having a multi-tenant service portal would be good."
"The solution is costly."
"The solution announced many features two years ago, and they still have not happened, so I would hope that the next release has these ready to go."

Pricing and Cost Advice

Information not available
"We decided on Altaro because, from the point of view of the total cost, Altaro looks cheaper than Veeam. Veeam has a lot of costs that are not clear when you start it, which makes it less flexible than Altaro, but only after half a year, you can be really sure that you made a good decision."
"The pricing is middle-of-the-road compared with competing products."
"I have a per-user license for the number of users and the mailboxes that I have."
"The licensing price is quite high. It's expensive."
"The pricing model makes this solution more expensive than it needs to be."
"For the number of users and amount of storage you receive, it is not expensive."
"Veeam Backup for Office 365 is a subscription-based solution."
"The price of Veeam Backup for Office 365 is inexpensive. We have a license to use the solution."
