Acronis Cyber Protect is a scalable product.
I would rate it eight on a scale from 1 to 10 for scalability, considering it will be multiple assets.
While the solution is scalable, the cost involved in upgrading or enhancing the solution can be significant.

It is scalable enough for our environment.

Sentiment score
7.8
Dell NetWorker stability varies, with improvements in later versions, and depends on proper implementation and system requirements.

The stability of Dell NetWorker is excellent.
Dell NetWorker is stable.

Room For Improvement

Acronis Cyber Protect could improve user interface, installation, compatibility, performance, support, pricing, and integration for enhanced functionality.
Users criticize Dell NetWorker for its complexity, performance issues, limited features, inadequate support, and insufficient integration and documentation.
It's only after we discovered there was a compatibility issue with the application that the client was running that we actually had to do a lot of log file shipping to Acronis themselves and getting solutions because of other problems.
Acronis Cyber Protect could be more affordable, especially for us in South America.
The Protect environment should automatically secure the last backup screens to prevent any changes, even by an admin.
The interface on the Java application makes it difficult, whereas the web interface is simple to use.
It is complex, and compared to solutions like Tivoli, Veritas, Veeam, and others, its look and feel are not up to par.
To connect to a server, it's necessary to install a client on the server, which is challenging.

Setup Cost

Acronis Cyber Protect offers affordable licensing options, though some find it expensive in large environments, yet valued for capabilities.
Dell NetWorker offers complex capacity licensing with varying prices and potential discounts, competitive yet sometimes costly compared to alternatives.
I would rate the price as nine out of ten.
The licensing cost is somewhat expensive.

Valuable Features

Acronis Cyber Protect combines easy interface, backup, and cybersecurity for versatile OS support with centralized management and cloud storage.
Dell NetWorker offers automation, broad compatibility, and efficient data protection with user-friendly interface and robust recovery features.
The NASDAQ level CFS level backup is the feature I find most beneficial for our data protection strategy.
This is beneficial because any backup package stored in the cloud is not free, and if it shrinks well, it allows users to pay less for cloud storage.
It also encrypts your backups and makes it safe, so it doesn't get affected with viruses.
I find NetWorker valuable for its wide range of automation features, including replication and data processing systems.
The new deduplication feature helps significantly with data compression and saves disk space by using pointers for repeated data, improving backup speed.
Dell NetWorker is versatile, allowing server backups and IBM tape library backups.

Encounter challenges in troubleshooting but experience efficient customer support
The application itself is a bit bloated. Although it has a lot of features when it comes to troubleshooting, we don't basically know where to start even though we do give them the log files to troubleshoot they don't give us a proper solution set. So I would say because it's bloated, it's a bit more difficult to troubleshoot where you get certain errors. From my side, on the POC I didn't really need to do much. It's only after we discovered there was a compatibility issue with the application that the client was running that we actually had to do a lot of log file shipping to Acronis themselves and getting solutions because of other problems. So on a day-to-day basis, you don't even maintain it, you just forget about it. You get alerts, but usually in between. It's quite easy to manage. To be honest with you, since I didn't really test that option of Acronis Cyber Protect, it's supposed to make everything feasible and easy to manage but I never got the option of testing it out, so I cannot really say at this stage.
