Has significantly improved document-driven workflows and reduced processing time across finance and HR functions
Automation Anywhere has evolved significantly and upgraded itself to provide agentic AI and AI-based automation solutions for document automation. The product has matured considerably over time. We can create workflows that can call an API. We can include prompts in particular workflows for ChatGPT-related functions, connecting to an LLM and RAG to perform tasks. For document automation, modern features are available to train documents, ensuring high accuracy and repeatability over time. The system is very easy to use. I recently completed a course in document automation, typically designed for people involved in coding and technical aspects. Though I understand coding comprehensively, I don't do actual coding. The course was very accessible. Currently, extensive coding isn't necessary due to the hybrid model incorporating GenAI aspects, low-code, no-code capabilities, APIs, and numerous pre-built objects in Automation Anywhere. The features include GenAI-driven prompting methods and workflow creation capabilities. In these workflows, we can create decision boxes and call APIs without coding. We simply pull objects, drop them, connect them, and add minimal coding when needed. The most crucial aspect isn't coding but rather sizing the automation and fleshing out the details. Automation Co-pilot takes notes and performs automated analysis. It can extract details from videos, summarize conversations, and provide detailed information. During calls, it identifies instructions and performs tasks such as preparing reports and reconciliation. Automation Anywhere can also connect with Microsoft Co-pilot. Through Co-pilot, real-time operations can be executed, allowing direct interaction between vendors and automation through this component.

Automation has boosted customer satisfaction and simplifies managing complex customer journeys
The best features AI Agent Studio offers include a very easy-to-use interface for the Africa market, a good orchestration tool for easy integration with third-party tools, and quick results when searching for any results on the interface. I find the pre-built templates that come with the package very good to use to kickstart any common businesses. For someone having a very basic system, this can be easily used to assign all technical tasks. Additionally, testing and debugging is very easy because AI Agent Studio definitely helps trace any reasoning steps, execution logs, and evaluate the accuracy before going live for clients.

Automation has transformed document processing and frees teams to focus on higher‑value analysis
Sometimes, we encounter system errors that could be resolved via support, but connection issues are more frequent in enterprise applications. However, these can usually be solved by raising tickets if you are part of an enterprise, though we are not, which makes it somewhat challenging. It is vital to ensure the connections of UiPath Platform are maintained because it has a larger community. If UiPath Platform website included more features and documentation accessible easily, it would greatly enhance the experience. Instead of continually needing to raise support tickets, having a documentation hub where details can just be entered to retrieve required documents would be extremely beneficial.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"What I appreciate the most about Automation Anywhere is how easy it is to use."
"I found that the REST API commands are very useful and easy to use."
"Overall, the product is very good where the repetitive tasks are more in manufacturing industries and the finance department."
"Automation Anywhere is very good for rapid development. It has all the capabilities in terms of giving a stable automation framework. It has very cool technical capabilities, like MetaBots, dev controls, and object cloning."
"I appreciate that Automation Anywhere is so user-friendly, and currently, our team is learning Power Automate and migrating some of the processes as we go."
"The initial deployment is not difficult at all for someone doing it for the first time."
"The core functionality, the ability to automate these tasks and to interact, both with our own in-house software solutions as well as with our customers' and vendors' solutions and portals, has been incredibly valuable for us."
"AA improves process consistency and reduces human error."
"AI Agent Studio has positively impacted my organization with manifold results."
"We see time savings for our users in the sense that they now can do more tasks that should have been done all along but weren't getting done. That's more where the gains have been this far."
"I would rate customer service and technical support a ten out of ten. They are available when we want them."
"The features I find most valuable within UiPath Platform are the logging and controls, and the ability to bring value to the firm extremely quickly due to the low-code, no-code functionality."
"Overall, UiPath has the best user community and the best, detailed videos; it is easy to understand, there is no coding at all, and even a beginner can create a process in a short period of time."
"One of the best benefits is that instead of just doing their single task, it gets people to think beyond what they're doing and how other things impact them."
"UiPath's Object Repository was huge. I could build these libraries because our industry works with many of the same systems. It's hard to integrate with Yardi's core CRM, and many of our automation efforts focus on getting information in and out of that system. The ability to build these libraries of reusable selectors has dramatically benefited me over the past couple of years."
"UiPath has reduced human error by 20%."
"As a product, the stability that it brings in, the volume of transactions it's able to handle, and some of the leading feature functionality in terms of AI and cognitive capability is absolutely brilliant."

Cons

"The setup is complex because there is a lot of customization."
"They should do more on the cognitive side."
"They need to improve the OCR engine which is not up to the market."
"Version 11 is a bit heavy. At times, it takes a toll on the computing resources."
"There is an issue with security where users can see the values in the credential vault."
"The bot insides should come in the same package versus having it as a different bundle by itself. If we could have this product come with all the inside solutions altogether, that would help."
"Certain areas of the user interface require improvement."
"The product needs to catch up to the promise of known technology and apply more intelligent behaviors concerning AI or unstructured learning."
"In terms of improvements, AI Agent Studio can drastically enhance integration and tokens that have been used compared to the other competition."
"The OCR is the only area where I expect a little flexibility and improvement."
"It should have better integration with Microsoft applications such as Excel, SharePoint, Outlook, etc. Power Automate is better for communicating with Microsoft Office applications. With UiPath, we have some difficulty communicating with the Microsoft Office applications. This is the only weakness that I have come across."
"I would like to see a UiPath user group to discuss issues."
"It should add the feature of intelligent automation."
"The OCR functionality for this solution could be improved. It should have a better capability to read unstructured documents. The next generation of OCR is ICR and UiPath does not have this. This would enable us to read and search through documents."
"Due to the sensitivity of my project, I would like a new feature like some sort of generic interface or input where other UiPath users can examine our product or our situations and help us fix them."
"There is a need for more integrations with external technologies like OpenAI, Gemini, SAP, Bedrock, BambooHR, etc."
"My only complaint is that I hate VB.NET. If I had to pick a language, it would not be VB.NET. That whole .NET framework is just overly complicated. But I can understand why it's necessary for the use case of RPA."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The major reason that we selected Automation Anywhere was the licensing model."
"In terms of monetary savings, we automated a bot in three days that has saved us $30,000 in costs."
"We're on a license package with Automation Anywhere (AA), paid yearly. What would be better is for them to have different packages for different types of organization."
"We have seen ROI on one of the process, but not on the other processes yet."
"The Automation Anywhere license is affordable and not complex."
"Including the AWS setup and everything per license, it costs us around $10,000 on an annual basis. I believe that is pretty reasonable considering the teams that we have."
"It is not cheap, but we are able to get an ROI."
"We are restricted to use one license on one PC. However, if my license is not working, I want to be able to use it somewhere else. This would be a nice improvement to the licensing, as other competitors in the market have better licensing terms."
Information not available
"The pricing and licensing costs seem okay to me, although it is a little bit on the high side."
"No matter how much you complain about the price of a SaaS product, it's still cheaper than building your own data center and other infrastructure. That's my perspective as someone who works for a company that does digital transformation. The price is cheaper than building and deploying your own solutions."
"There are some automations that save us thousands of hours monthly. These are automations that we run 24/7 as well as some automations that we run every five minutes for installing backups."
"UiPath is expensive compared to other solutions like AutomationEdge, which is cheap. Last year, it wasn't too high, but I believe they updated their licensing model, making it very costly."
"The solution has gotten pricier."
"I understand that initially, businesses or clients might perceive UiPath as expensive."
"It is pricey at the beginning, but we'll have to see going forward what we get for the tools. It is always expensive to buy a really nice car and not drive it very far and very much. So, it is about utilization."
"We see some elements in the license model that we're trying to figure out how to utilize. There have been some elements in the license model where UiPath has helped us solve them commercially, and having a license model which is more focused on scalability would be a great feature."
