Fast and secure deployments simplify operations for government and fintech clients
It is a fast and secure DNS. It is very easy to deploy, and my customers are happy with this tool. Additionally, the CDN performance in Mexico is excellent, providing fast service and tools. It offers reliability during high-traffic periods, ensuring no impact on the environment. It helps my clients avoid using on-premise boxes, simplifying operations as they only use the prices on Cloudflare.

Helps to manage data and secures configuration
We use Amazon Macie to manage data.  The tool gives confidence that our configuration is safe.  I have been using the product for three years.  The tool's deployment is easy.  Amazon Macie is worth its money.  I rate the tool an eight out of ten.  Amazon Web Services (AWS)

Nice dashboard, good data loss prevention, and helps with compliance
The data loss prevention is great. It can prevent things like credit card information from being taken. The data protection is excellent. We can use the solution on Windows and iOS. We mostly use it with Office 365 and ingest data sources from Microsoft. The solution is natively integrated and compliant across Azure. It takes into account critical regulations from around the world. We need to comply with various regulations. For our business case, it's very important. If we can prevent information from going out, eventually, when a regulator is asking about our security measures, we can show what we've been doing. It helps us to reduce the likelihood of potential fines. We can educate users on how to handle sensitive data. By showing the records we keep and explaining the technologies implemented, we can provide awareness to our users. The solution offers good visibility into our environment. Our security team can use the product to monitor and track. Its dashboard allows us to show compliance in real-time. We've been able to reduce the time to action on insider threats. Security permissions are always being monitored. In general, it has saved us time and money when dealing with security. It's made us become more efficient. We've increased our compliance capabilities by 25%.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Many websites require an SSL certificate because they sell stuff and want SSL. Cloudflare comes with an SSL certificate built in. It's automatic. You sign yourself up for Cloudflare, and an SSL certificate automatically protects your website. You don't necessarily need a certificate if you have a connection between your website and your host, the server, Cloudflare, and the host."
"Cloudflare consolidates various capabilities into one product, streamlining processes."
"Centralized, full-featured DNS."
"The features of Cloudflare were found to be more beneficial and led to the decision to utilize it over other options."
"The overall experience with Cloudflare is positive, with a rating of eight out of ten."
"Cloudflare offers CDN and DDoS protection. We have the front end, API, and database in how you structure applications."
"When using services like Heroku, Cloudflare is very useful for CNAME flattening. I also use it for their end-to-end SSL with TLS authentication on nginx for securing servers."
"From what I've seen so far, there are no negatives to report as of yet"
"The tool gives confidence that our configuration is safe."
"The tool's performance is good."
"The auto-labeling feature is definitely the most valuable feature. It goes in and labels the documents for you in different repositories. It covers the Outlook and Exchange repositories along with SharePoint and OneDrive. It is really helpful in those areas."
"The solution's most valuable feature is the mature O365 DLP, which works with SharePoint and Teams."
"The product can block the uploads to cloud services."
"The impact of Microsoft Purview Data Loss Prevention's classification and policy controls on our productivity within our organization is significant, as it's helped our security team."
"The product is easy to configure."
"The solution's IDM (Indexed Document Matching), EDM (Exact Data Matching), and DCM (Described Content Matching) features have been most effective in identifying and mitigating potential data leaks."
"I like the sensitivity labels and data security posture management for AI."
"There's a good amount of documentation in case you run into any problems."

Cons

"Although I think it's quite good, it doesn't provide me with all the features I would expect to have if I were using Imperva."
"Cloudflare could be improved by introducing a mid-tier pricing option."
"The timing aspect can lead to it being considered overpriced. This is a particular concern we have with Cloudflare, as they may struggle with accurately detecting the client."
"Cloudflare's free plan is limited to 5,000 records for their free plan. They should increase that. For example, if I create a domain called abc.com and a subdomain called a.abc.com, my record count will be two. I can make a maximum of 5,000 subdomains. However, if we use our own DNS hosted on another provider, there is no limit. Their free plan also lacks name server customization."
"There are some issues with the CDN services."
"There should be a specific price list for enterprise-level customers."
"The solution could work at being less expensive. It costs a lot to use it."
"Cloudflare should add more documentation and pricing to the cloud version."
"Amazon Macie is expensive."
"The tool's user interface and document fingerprinting have been very poor for my customers because uploading files manually can be problematic."
"Improving Microsoft Purview Data Loss Prevention would involve recognizing that the whole AI path we are all on is going to help, given the massive amount of data we handle; even if there are true positives, implementing a degree of severity ranking is essential."
"The amount of false positives and the hash issue we had have brought down the score for me."
"They do not provide language options beyond the ones already available, so our language option is missing."
"Some main features are limited in comparison to other solutions."
"More training for end users on how it works would be beneficial."
"I rate the overall solution 3 out of 10."
"Microsoft Purview Data Loss Prevention's licensing is expensive."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"When you compare Cloudflare DNS to other solutions, such as Akamai, the price is reasonable."
"It's a premium model. You can start at zero and work your way up to the enterprise model, which has a very high pricing level."
"I give the price a five out of ten."
"We are using the free version."
"That is one of the great features. I was able to access the majority of the features and services for free."
"In terms of licensing costs, we don't pay for licensing for Cloudflare. We only establish communication, then for peering, Cloudflare takes care of the cross-connection in different data centers."
"The tool is a premium product, so it is very expensive."
"The cost primarily depends on the size of the organization."
"You need to pay per usage."
"It is a part of our Microsoft licensing. We pay for a yearly renewal. Its price is reasonable for the size of the organization we are. It is fairly competitive, and you get what you pay for. We have an E5 license, and a part of understanding the E5 license is to see what all you get with it. If you really look at it from that standpoint, you get a lot of value. You have Defender and all its security features in there as well. Their licensing is fairly flexible. They have different programs. We've seen ones where you could pay for up to three to five years in advance. There is also a monthly pay-as-you-go type of deal, but we're doing a yearly renewal and fixing the budget."
"The product has the best price-to-performance ratio."
"It's a little bit pricey compared to competitors, but it's not too high."
"The pricing is reasonable."
"The cost works out to about $15 per user per month."
"Microsoft Purview Data Loss Prevention is part of a bundle and is not sold as a standalone product."
"We are using the E3 license for Microsoft 365 with the E5 compliance license add-on."
"If one is very cheap and ten is very expensive, I rate the price as one out of ten."
