Has significantly improved document-driven workflows and reduced processing time across finance and HR functions
Automation Anywhere has evolved significantly and upgraded itself to provide agentic AI and AI-based automation solutions for document automation. The product has matured considerably over time. We can create workflows that can call an API. We can include prompts in particular workflows for ChatGPT-related functions, connecting to an LLM and RAG to perform tasks. For document automation, modern features are available to train documents, ensuring high accuracy and repeatability over time. The system is very easy to use. I recently completed a course in document automation, typically designed for people involved in coding and technical aspects. Though I understand coding comprehensively, I don't do actual coding. The course was very accessible. Currently, extensive coding isn't necessary due to the hybrid model incorporating GenAI aspects, low-code, no-code capabilities, APIs, and numerous pre-built objects in Automation Anywhere. The features include GenAI-driven prompting methods and workflow creation capabilities. In these workflows, we can create decision boxes and call APIs without coding. We simply pull objects, drop them, connect them, and add minimal coding when needed. The most crucial aspect isn't coding but rather sizing the automation and fleshing out the details. Automation Co-pilot takes notes and performs automated analysis. It can extract details from videos, summarize conversations, and provide detailed information. During calls, it identifies instructions and performs tasks such as preparing reports and reconciliation. Automation Anywhere can also connect with Microsoft Co-pilot. Through Co-pilot, real-time operations can be executed, allowing direct interaction between vendors and automation through this component.

Have faced limitations due to integration complexity but have processed documents efficiently and reduced manual effort
Bedrock is basically a framework that can manage multiple large language models. Another useful tool is Amazon Textract which extracts text from documents. It helps with compliance because Amazon Textract itself doesn't store anything. When hundreds of documents are uploaded in an S3 bucket, the S3 bucket will store the documents, but Amazon Textract itself doesn't store anything. It pulls the contents of the documents and then passes them on to the next system, making it compliant. It helps in a great way by reducing the load on LLM and reducing the cost.

With an easy initial setup phase in place, the tool needs to provide functionalities like web scraping to users
It is a very scalable solution. In ElectroNeek, you can build your project in modular programming or with the use of sub-programs. You can have a lot of sub-programs that make up a whole project. If you don't wanna use the drag-and-drop activities, you can use JavaScript or Python instead. So it's very useful when you are working with things such as SPS. Actually, you can write scripts to support all the product functionalities with Python and manage the product's functions. You will find a company named Apollo Studios on the website of ElectroNeek. I think they are one of the best companies in South Africa that entered into a partnership with ElectroNeek.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The Automation Anywhere University is a good tool. It goes topic-by-topic with real-time examples."

"Co-Pilot is a valuable feature."
"It's pretty simple and non-invasive."
"Automation Co-Pilot helped increase productivity."

"The reporting capabilities are pretty nice."

"With the help of Amazon Textract, we are reducing labor and manpower because with just one API call, we can get all the extracted information with its coordinates."
"Amazon Textract was easy to use."
"Amazon Textract is superior because it has features that allow you to use analytics or intelligent automation with the OCR; it will automatically identify key and value pairs, so you can use the data easily."
"The support is actually very good; I've worked with Azure and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, but compared to the others, AWS support is excellent."
"The most valuable feature is the price."
"The solution is user-friendly with a really good UI and ID."
"My favorite feature is that you can have unlimited bots without having to buy more licenses. That's a powerful option for scalability."
"We find the OCR feature very valuable, due to the corrector recognition that it provides; this is very useful for document processing."
"We have found that it brings more efficiency and effectiveness to routine tasks."
"I would advise others to go for it and just implement it; it is a really good solution."
"The cost is the best thing about ElectroNeek."
"It's a very stable product."

Cons

"It would be really good if they could give more priority to tickets which are raised by partners. Right now, Automation Anywhere customers and employees have higher priority."
"I would like to see integration better integration with Excel and SAP."
"When they develop the product, they don't always provide all the necessary details that a customer needs to implement the product."
"This solution should be more user-friendly so that our clients can take a bot that we have developed for them, and then run it by themselves."
"One improvement would be to implement a log mechanism within the workflow, similar to other automation tools. Currently, the log mechanism uses a text file. If we want to monitor a process, we need to check manually."
"Automation Anywhere's current requirement for upfront annual payments limits flexibility for customers."
"They should consider being more multi-platform."
"Getting the bot design into the developer's hands is taking longer than we initially anticipated."
"Some easy integration with other systems could be improved."
"They should provide an offline solution because in many areas in India and outside, there are clients facing Internet issues."
"Sometimes the tabular data does not process properly for complex tabular structures or complex tables."
"The product has not given correct results for me. It was not accurate, especially with handwritten items and documents with pencil marks, which Amazon Textract failed to identify correctly."
"The solution needs to improve its stability."
"I think that this solution could improve remote desktop interactions."
"Its price could definitely be lower."
"It's not applicable to very large enterprises and for difficult work or more complex processes."
"ElectroNeek comes with three activities and we cannot add activities like we can with uiPADs."
"The solution works well with Google Chrome, but not with Microsoft Edge, which is the browser we use for automation."
"The pricing is an area with a shortcoming, and from an improvement perspective, it needs to be made cheaper."
"The integrating capability of the product needs to be improved, to ensure that it works with all systems involved in a process."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The pricing is a bit higher."
"It's the best RPA tool, but the pricing could be improved."
"The licensing cost of Automation Anywhere is better than UiPath and Blue Prism."
"The licensing cost is approximately $4,000 USD, which is a seed license."
"Time and monetary savings can range from 20 to 90 percent."
"We are not receiving the right information about their features, e.g. Automation Anywhere University, or anything that they are selling. They need to improve their documentation."
"When you compare the cost of Automation Anywhere with UiPath and Blue Prism, those others are much less. Licensing-wise, UiPath wins the deal."
