Unified vulnerability data has reduced risk and currently cuts duplicate tools and license costs
Seemplicity can be improved by adding additional graphs and charts that make it easier to do trending over time. I had to do some of that manually via manual reports, but Seemplicity already has a feature request for this. Seemplicity has done a pretty good job of keeping up with integrations. One gap that I identified and that Seemplicity is trying to fill now is having a complete end-to-end mapping. Seemplicity currently looks at the external attack surface using tools like Censys, and then looks at the internal side, examining what is in AWS and other clouds using CSPM. However, there is not anything that currently ties a property on the outside to a system on the inside, especially when you have additional security layers like web application firewalls that actually mitigate the risk.

Security automation has transformed incident investigations and now delivers faster, trusted responses
AttackIQ offers quick response and gathers more information so I could identify some compromise or incident compromise and perform some analysis. I love the feature for detection engineering, security control validations, zero trust, MITRE ATT&CK, third-party risk validation, and defense optimization. AttackIQ Ready! validations, AttackIQ Flex, and the Command Center help my workflow. For the governance and security of AttackIQ, I believe these surpass the standards of ISO and the NIST standard. Upon review, the optimizations and documentation of AttackIQ are great. The information is complete, and overall, it is awesome. For the accuracy and reliability of output, AttackIQ provides very great information, especially for every incident or request that has occurred. As I have experienced, it provided a great outcome, trustable results, and verified results. Overall, it is great and awesome. I am very happy and thankful for AttackIQ for providing this great application with complete platforms ready. The Enterprise, Command Center, operating system, and solution are great, covering detection engineering, compliance optimizations, defense optimizations, and security control validations. The at-scale offensive testing is great as well, along with red team augmentations, adversary emulation, reduced exposure, and vulnerability prioritization. The optimized defensive posture and especially the zero trust aspect make me very happy regarding AttackIQ, especially its MITRE ATT&CK integrations and third-party risk validations. That is overall awesome.

Continuous security scanning has reduced vulnerabilities and strengthens our web applications
Rapid7 Exposure Command offers several best features, including the ability to schedule scans, staying up to date with current vulnerabilities, and providing trustworthy results. It is also easy to set up scans for different applications, and the platform provides recommendations on how to fix vulnerabilities. Additionally, I can replay the attacks that Rapid7 Exposure Command ran so I can see exactly where the vulnerability is located and what kind of attack it represents, showcasing the thorough information the platform provides. Regarding Rapid7 Exposure Command's AI features, I find that it runs itself once it is set up. While I did not set it up myself, I run scans, let it operate, view results, and find fixes for the identified vulnerabilities. It truly runs itself and provides the information needed to help us be a more secure company. I believe the accuracy and reliability of the output from Rapid7 Exposure Command are quite good, and the information we receive is accurate. However, there have been instances where a vulnerability appears as a false positive due to protocols or security configurations that our service provider has in place, which are not visible from our end. While vulnerabilities may appear present, it does not necessarily mean they truly are vulnerable, and it is helpful to know what needs to be handled by our service provider rather than remaining in the dark about potential issues.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"I think of Seemplicity as a fantastic company and a fantastic partner to work with."
"Before we really struggled with meeting SLAs that were in place because we did not have the information we needed and there was too much back and forth, now we nearly have a perfect SLA meeting time."
"Seemplicity is doing amazing work, and organizations were able to better meet their SLAs, better communicate to their leadership and executive level about the overall risk and exposure levels, and overall have a better understanding of what they are dealing with."
"Seemplicity is helping us generate immense ROI in terms of helping secure our infrastructure, applications, endpoints, and understanding vulnerabilities that we really did not have a good process of understanding before."
"The biggest impact Seemplicity has had on my organization is turning what used to be a fragmented, manual process into something structured and accountable."
"The best features Seemplicity offers include the aggregation logic, the way it is simplified to view and access, and the ability to have a view in a simpler way."
"When we started with Seemplicity, we saw an 85% reduction in the number of tickets through deduplication, and that is significant for our teams who are swamped with issues."
"Seemplicity has positively impacted my organization by helping reduce the overhead for our SecOps team to manually create vulnerability tickets."
"Overall, I've had a good experience with the product. It's worked well for me."
"AttackIQ is solving a lot of the problems that I had before or that we as an organization had before, even the security team, so it is solving all my issues."
"From investigations and analysis that previously took four to eight hours, I can now complete them in about ten minutes because of the automations and orchestration."
"AttackIQ has had a positive impact on the organization, especially in the areas of continuous security validation, detection improvement, and overall defensive readiness, with highlights including improved visibility into detection gaps, stronger security controls validation, better SOC readiness, and faster detection engineering improvements, which are improvement areas we have implemented in our project using AttackIQ."
"AttackIQ has improved my security posture by validating security controls, identifying detection gaps, and increasing confidence in my detection and response capabilities."
"Running in our SOC, it moves the conversation from assumptions and dashboards to measurable proof, which is exactly what makes AttackIQ valuable in day-to-day security operations."
"After using AttackIQ, it has helped the team and the company improve on false positives and reduce risk, as most people are now capable of identifying how to work on detection, improving fine-tuning and all those things."
"AttackIQ gave the customer visibility into threat areas they were previously unaware of, prompting them to manage those threats and their associated risks because if they don't know a relevant threat exists, they won't manage it, thus improving their understanding and approach to their threat attack surface."
"What I appreciated most about the reporting and dashboard features in Rapid7 Exposure Command is that they really expose and detail the main assets that are impacted."
"Rapid7's strength lies in continuous scanning performed with agents and an excellent scan profile provided by the internal scan engines on many devices, so we span from Windows to all Linux interfaces, to roughly all appliances on the market, including network hardware, hypervisors, cameras, and printers."
"Rapid7 Exposure Command provides me with satisfaction knowing that my external attack surface and digital risk are being monitored."
"I would recommend Rapid7 Exposure Command over anything else."
"Compared to Tenable or Qualys, Rapid7 Exposure Command is definitely affordable for small-sized or mid-sized engagements, although there are some challenges with detection."

Cons

"As the account is growing, some of the dashboards are slowing down, so optimizing that could be one area for improvement."
"For Seemplicity, I would say two things for improvement. First, reporting customization could go further because this industry is evolving; the CEO tries to get much information that they are looking for."
"Seemplicity could be improved with some of the aggregation accessibility. Currently, it is a bit of a black box and can be a bit of a bottleneck."
"There are some bits on the cleanliness of dashboarding and maybe a little bit on the reporting side, but not too much improvement needed as of now."
"Seemplicity can be improved by adding additional graphs and charts that make it easier to do trending over time."
"To improve Seemplicity, I would suggest having more knowledge base and more threat intel."
"The capability out of the box today is decent, but over time, if we can allow users and organizations to build their own view and how they want to report on things, that would be a great value add."
"Every tool, including Seemplicity, can improve, and I think it needs to further enhance its deduplication capabilities and understand how to integrate with more security tools, especially as new AI security tools emerge."
"From a technical viewpoint regarding pricing, I've heard that the pricing point is around a couple of thousand dollars per test point, which is considered a bit high, but I understand that AttackIQ is willing to provide a better offer."
"The initial setup was quite difficult and took a long time."
"One area for improvement is the initial configuration complexity, which is very complex in the initial stage to configure the whole thing and integrate with the SOC, presenting a learning curve for organizations that are new to adversary emulation or continuous security validation, particularly concerning the initial setup scenario customization and workflow tuning."
"I would appreciate deeper integrations with security tools. AI-assisted remediations and recommendations would be helpful."
"I rate AttackIQ an eight for now. I choose eight for the two remaining aspects that should involve process improvement and further improvements for AttackIQ."
"The customer support for AttackIQ is good but can be better."
"The initial setup was difficult. It was not straightforward."
"There is a learning curve at the beginning, especially for teams that are quite new to a BAS or continuous validation solution."
"Rapid7 Exposure Command is not as easy to deploy compared to Qualys, and the detection rates are lower than Qualys."
"However, there have been instances where a vulnerability appears as a false positive due to protocols or security configurations that our service provider has in place, which are not visible from our end."
"In the Pakistani market, Rapid7 Exposure Command's pricing is on the expensive side, and that represents one of the challenges we are facing."
"I think Rapid7 Exposure Command could be improved by the way asset discovery and agent deployment are conducted."
"The graphical interface of Rapid7 Exposure Command is terrible right now."
