Has significantly improved document-driven workflows and reduced processing time across finance and HR functions
Automation Anywhere has evolved significantly and upgraded itself to provide agentic AI and AI-based automation solutions for document automation. The product has matured considerably over time. We can create workflows that can call an API. We can include prompts in particular workflows for ChatGPT-related functions, connecting to an LLM and RAG to perform tasks. For document automation, modern features are available to train documents, ensuring high accuracy and repeatability over time. The system is very easy to use. I recently completed a course in document automation, typically designed for people involved in coding and technical aspects. Though I understand coding comprehensively, I don't do actual coding. The course was very accessible. Currently, extensive coding isn't necessary due to the hybrid model incorporating GenAI aspects, low-code, no-code capabilities, APIs, and numerous pre-built objects in Automation Anywhere. The features include GenAI-driven prompting methods and workflow creation capabilities. In these workflows, we can create decision boxes and call APIs without coding. We simply pull objects, drop them, connect them, and add minimal coding when needed. The most crucial aspect isn't coding but rather sizing the automation and fleshing out the details. Automation Co-pilot takes notes and performs automated analysis. It can extract details from videos, summarize conversations, and provide detailed information. During calls, it identifies instructions and performs tasks such as preparing reports and reconciliation. Automation Anywhere can also connect with Microsoft Co-pilot. Through Co-pilot, real-time operations can be executed, allowing direct interaction between vendors and automation through this component.

Automation has streamlined client data extraction and has improved reporting for business decisions
I work as a developer, and my manager is responsible for the research and analytics for the project with the client and business users. I am satisfied with BotFarm. I would rate my experience with BotFarm an eight out of ten. I do not see any room for improvement for BotFarm. I am using AI tools such as Amazon, Microsoft Azure, and ChatGPT. I am not using AI-powered bots in BotFarm. I am a partner with Automation Anywhere.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"Automation Anywhere has improved my company significantly; earlier we were dependent on the client installed on local machines, but now it is completely web-based, so we don't have to worry about having a dedicated VM."
"The ease of use and its ability to change the code when something in the main process or core process changes. The ease of use is really good."
"My understanding is that the initial setup is pretty straightforward."
"This solution is easy to use and generates a quick response."
"We have the MetaBot feature, which is valuable because we can read reusable components in the MetaBot, then use them as a framework."
"With IQ Bot, we can now include cognitive automation into our process. The cognitive document processing is pretty good with IQ Bot."
"Automation Anywhere has helped me save both time and costs, with savings of approximately eight million in the last two to three years, and in terms of percentage, I saved around thirty to forty percent of time compared to before using Automation Anywhere."
"The addition of excel advanced to directly append worksheets, add formulas, etc was very beneficial and made the code development faster."
"The dashboards are quite good, especially on the latest versions."
"Productivity increased far more than thirty percent."
"The main features of the solution are the IQ Bot and web-based automation."
"The most valuable features of this solution are the Excel automation and support for SharePoint."
"The most valuable feature is the interface, which helps to provide a good user experience."
"Automation Anywhere has good document extraction features where it can learn patterns."
"The entire backend system structure is something that I found really valuable."
"BotFarm has been working perfectly fine with our business model. Its scalability is the most valuable feature. We can easily scale out bots on a need basis. Portability is another valuable feature. We work with different payment systems like Visa and MasterCard and have bots for them. Because of BotFarm, we are able to reuse these bots."

Cons

"Automation Anywhere should add a couple of commands which will help most developers not to always use a script, a good example is in String operations."
"One area where I can see room for improvement is the training material that is available."
"They continue to release new features, but end users struggle to adapt to them."
"Automation Anywhere's network has room for improvement."
"The product is not the best that it could be. There is always room to improve it a bit more. They are heading in the right direction with their innovations."
"Automation Anywhere is expensive. They should consider lowering the price to make Automation Anywhere more affordable to SMEs, which comprise a huge segment."
"Automation Anywhere can be improved by reducing the time of the processes and enhancing the efficiency of people."
"The initial setup was quite complex. We have faced an issue. During the initial implementation stages, it took longer than we expected. It affected our timelines to a certain extent."
"The tool must execute remedial actions to resolve problems before they cause significant incidents."
"An area for improvement in BotFarm is that the communication between the Control Room and the Bot Client Missions isn't utilized well. There's also the issue with PCI DSS compliance or certain regulations that require a set of configurations that are not fully supported by BotFarm. The product should be certified or designed according to the required regulations in the finance industry to make it better."
"The CL command poses an issue during the process of data conversion, accuracy, data loss and the assessment of certain data as false."
"I would like to have access to self-service support."
"Although I like the OCR technology, it could still be further improved."
"The OCR tool, the optical character recognition tool, could be more efficient."
"The solution can improve the accuracy of hand-written data reading"
"The image processing capabilities definitely need to be improved."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"The control room access gives the ability to create different roles, which helps when purchasing additional licensing."
"From my experience, I can say that the initial setup cost is easily recovered over a period of time once the bots start running in production."
"In terms of pricing, it's not at all cheap, and that's a concern. The licensing cost is very high. While I don't know the exact prices of other tools, Microsoft offers the lowest pricing for its RPA platform compared to UiPath and Automation Anywhere."
"I advise others that even as of right now, the setup cost and licensing cost to automate bots on Automation Anywhere is steep but it is worth the investment!"
"It's cheapest among the competition, although bargaining is a must."
"Automation Anywhere is flexible in terms of costing and licensing."
"Our company is investing a lot of money in Automation Anywhere. They have saved money wherever humans are working. They invest a lot of money in FTEs and other logistics, so the money saving is very pretty good with Automation Anywhere. While I don't know the exact figure, the tool is saving us millions of dollars as well as saving about 40,000 hours in the last year."
"We were paying approximately $30,000 for a year license."
"An unattended bot license costs around $5,000, whereas an attended bot license costs roughly $1,500."
"Its price is quite high as compared to other solutions, but it has a lot of features and good stability. They should reduce its price."
"Automation Anywhere is more reasonable than Blue Prism and UiPath in terms of cost."
"Our licensing costs are approximately $3,000 USD annually."
"The solution prices are expensive. It would be more beneficial for customers to lower the pricing."
"I think payment can vary but it's a re-occurring fee that needs to be paid every year."
"I am very happy with the pricing."
"Pricing for this solution can be better."
