State-of-the-art disaster recovery
One of the areas that I would absolutely say that they should improve, is the recovery from the backup when you're running in a failover mode. In other words, if I have to bring the server online on the appliance (so I'm running on the backup image), there should be a way for me to replicate back to or restore back to the hardware or the original source, and then, in the end, you would do a Delta sync and switch over. As of today, I have to shut everything down and the entire resource has to be offline while I'm doing the recovery. So having the ability to kind of recover while running would be a great feature to have. Also, when you failover to the appliance, it doesn't retain the IP information. I have to go in and update the IP information for each of the boxes that I have to fill up. If you're only doing one or two, it's not really a big deal, but if you had to failover, for example, 10-12 boxes because an entire EM infrastructure went down hardware-wise for some reason, you have to know all those IPs and go in and set them up and restart them — that can take a little bit of time. So retaining the IP information would be great.

Backups and restores are easy and we can do on-site disaster recovery within minutes
The benefits of using Infrascale Backup & Disaster Recovery become evident very quickly. You have the solution on-prem and can restore files and servers on-prem as well. You can set up certain virtual machines on-prem if you need them. If a machine goes down or has an error, you can put the machines into the cloud, which is very important if there's a fire or a disaster, where you really have to get the business working again. It's very quick. I saw those benefits immediately; that was one of the reasons we moved certain customers over to the Infrascale solution. They had different solutions in place before and were not happy with the amount of time it took to restore data or perform disaster recovery. We tested it out and ran some server restores before signing the customer up for the solution. It is very important for my organization that Infrascale Backup & Disaster Recovery is available via a single dashboard. I have multiple customers, so being able to see all of them in one single dashboard and drill deeper into the servers is very important for me. Infrascale's unified dashboard has helped me save time. Infrascale's ability to restore data is great, fast, and very efficient.

"As of today, I have to shut everything down and the entire resource has to be offline while I'm doing the recovery."
"The problem is that sometimes you can use a lot of the bandwidth to upload files."
"One of the significant drawbacks of it is due to the fact that we're using two devices to manage the same vCenter, or virtualization environment, and they don't talk to each other."
"I would like to be able to limit the bandwidth in cases, for example, where we are uploading the backup."
"In terms of what I would like to see, it would be to make the solution available across multiple clouds."
"There could be some room for improvement in the on-premises hardware selection."
"Having options to replicate between their data centers, once the data is offsite, would be an improvement that they could make."
"Having options to replicate between their data centers, once the data is offsite, would be an improvement that they could make."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"I believe that (if I'm not mistaken), there are a couple of different pricing models."
"You get unlimited clients and buy a bucket of space. In addition to the standard fees there were setup fees."
"The pricing is pretty good and competitive with the market. The per-terabyte pricing is very competitive compared to the others."
"The pricing is fair, and they are interested in working with MSPs as part of their market."
"It is super competitive. It is worth taking a look at it from a licensing and pricing perspective."
"I appreciate their pricing. We went for this solution for its pricing."
"The licensing is based on how much data you have plus what appliances you need."
"Our licensing fees are billed every four months."
"Pricing of the product could be improved. It definitely makes it a harder sell. They will usually end up getting close to the price we need, but I have to go through everybody to get the price reduced. Their list pricing is significantly higher than that of other solutions."
