Very cost-effective and well organized with good compression
It could improve its interface or offer a specific screen for the manager of the company. A managerial user who wants more information beyond the operational technician should be able to access it. It could include greater transparency regarding the volume of data trafficked on the network, as well as the expectation of deduplication. A more practical strategy could come with a backup policy model as a suggestion for both large and small companies. A simple suggestion is to visually implement the backup time as far as your physical media.

Backup has protected our office data and now restores individual emails while admins configure settings
Although Veeam Data Cloud for Microsoft 365 is a Backup as a Service, it should give slight leverage to the admins to do more of their own configurations. When it comes to Software as a Service, we do need to agree on certain things, as we do not have much control over the software. If Veeam Data Cloud for Microsoft 365 can improve, it would be better. It could be slightly better, but it is acceptable. As long as support is provided in a timely manner, it is good. I cannot tell it is fully bad or fully good. If I were to give a rating of one to five, I might give 3.5 to four. Rather than giving a help database, which is an ocean of information to search through ourselves, we should be able to open a ticket and have them guide us on how to do it. As an end-user, different levels of admins exist—a fresh admin and a more experienced admin. They need to encourage us to open a ticket quickly, and from there they should guide us straightforwardly with the steps to follow to achieve the desired outcome.

"We have been using it for several years and we are very satisfied with how easy it is to configure and set up and run backups."
"It can be used in virtually any environment we have onsite."
"Technical support is excellent in my opinion."
"The most valuable feature is the support for Linux servers."
"The most valuable feature is its ease of use; it works great and it provides you with several standard tools to restore your backup, even after a big failure."
"Bacula Enterprise, so far, has never let us down with their service and support."
"Bacula is very solid, very stable, and very scalable."
"The program has been working really well for us."
"It helps to ensure that you can always have your data restored."
"The scalability is good."
"The ease of use is great and the integrations with the storage vendors are useful, with snapshot capabilities and similar features, and the setup was straightforward, making it a stable solution with great scalability."
"The solution is easy to use and stable and can be made to fit one's needs."
"The most beneficial thing is that it is admin-friendly, with no complicated menu structure, and it is straightforward when it comes to doing a backup or a restore."
"Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 is reliable and easy to use."
"Its absolute functionality and intuitiveness are the most valuable features."

Cons

"Relying solely on a desktop is a bit frustrating as its GUI isn't exactly responsive."
"The initial setup could be a bit easier."
"The interface needs to be easier for adding new devices to be managed."
"Easier setup and configuration, perhaps including a GUI, would be an improvement."
"We would like to see an improvement in the functionality of the GUI."
"Bacula needs a graphical user interface because, for administrators, the command-line interface is okay, but for the average user it is not very easy."
"Many features have been converted to commercial licensing, which restricts their availability."
"A more user-friendly interface (GUI) can be developed."
"We will be evaluating whether we will continue using this solution in the future because it is not practical to keep it when it does not do the backups of all our users' information requiring us to have two solutions."
"It's hard to predict the usage on the storage. I need to make some estimates for customers in terms of how much storage will be needed on the cloud, and this is always tricky. It would be helpful if they could help us estimate storage or simplify the estimation portion."
"I have not really seen an ROI from Veeam Data Cloud for Microsoft 365. On the customer side, we don't really see the ROI."
"This is a cloud solution, and the speed can be slow sometimes."
"We have found that there is a limitation in this solution where it only takes the backup of users who are using Office 365 Enterprise email IDs. We have many users in management and approximately 50 other users who are using Office 365 of which Veeam is able to capture the backup. However, for the other users who are on the local email server at that time, the solution is not able to capture the backup."
"The cost is a bit on the high side."
"The solution needs to improve its speed."
"While I don't have a use case in mind, it would be great if they could integrate more automation capabilities into the solution."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"We have a perpetual license."
"This is an open-source solution."
"The cost of Veeam Backup is $28 per user for one year."
"Its price is a little bit high, but it is a fantastic solution. It is more expensive than NetApp."
"The pricing is expensive."
"We decided on Altaro because, from the point of view of the total cost, Altaro looks cheaper than Veeam. Veeam has a lot of costs that are not clear when you start it, which makes it less flexible than Altaro, but only after half a year, you can be really sure that you made a good decision."
"We are talking about a third party solution, so there is a licensing fee."
"Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 is expensive, and I rate it an eight out of ten."
"The price of Veeam Backup for Office 365 is inexpensive. We have a license to use the solution."
"The cost is a bit on the high side."
