Very cost-effective and well organized with good compression
It could improve its interface or offer a specific screen for the manager of the company. A managerial user who wants more information beyond the operational technician should be able to access it. It could include greater transparency regarding the volume of data trafficked on the network, as well as the expectation of deduplication. A more practical strategy could come with a backup policy model as a suggestion for both large and small companies. A simple suggestion is to visually implement the backup time as far as your physical media.

Backup management excels with user-friendly interface and effective deduplication, offering robust data protection
Leveraging AI in Veritas NetBackup Appliance is one of the road maps now that they have done a collaboration with Cohesity, which is a feature I'm looking forward to. Using AI is one improvement I recommend for the Veritas NetBackup Appliance. They have implemented some aspects of AI for features such as malware detection and anomaly detection. I believe they can do more to give customers more insight into their data, allowing them to see it and understand what they can do, such as archiving old data. They can do more by utilizing the data effectively to provide insights to customers about their space usage, future projections, and options for managing old data.

"Bacula is pretty stable."
"NetBackup is based on really good architectural hardware, and Veritas has the best backup and replication technology in the world."
"A specific example where Veritas NetBackup Appliance helped me recover data or avoid a major issue is when I had a scenario where a customer was using two backup applications, one being Veritas NetBackup Appliance and the other one being one of the other common Windows-based solutions, the environment was attacked by ransomware, and they were able to recover 100 percent using Veritas NetBackup Appliance, whereas the other backup solution was 100 percent affected."
"This is a good backup interconversion solution because all the masters and the targets backups are on the same system. It is easy to administrate for a single point of access for clients."
"The most valuable feature of this solution is the backup speed."
"If you use the NetBackup Appliance you do not need to have separate media servers and hardware, as you can configure the same storage as a media server and master server as well as a storage port, which helps to reduce the hardware costs of the media server."
"I recommend Veritas NetBackup Appliance as a great product worth exploring."
"The documentation is okay. You are able to follow it and it is helpful."
"The most valuable feature is that the backup and restoring process is very fast."
