Strong security with room for enhancements in AI analytics

We integrate with our Active Directory regarding the role-based access controls in BeyondTrust Privileged Remote Access.I have not yet utilized the endpoint least privilege management feature in BeyondTrust Privileged Remote Access. There is a ready integration guide available for BeyondTrust Privileged Remote Access, so there are no major issues. All API integration is available to integrate with. More organizations are moving towards cloud infrastructure with BeyondTrust Privileged Remote Access. They are choosing this because they do not want to manage their on-premises and other hardware infrastructure. As we are not working with other vendors, I would rate BeyondTrust Privileged Remote Access a 10 out of 10.

Password management secures sessions but auditing features need enhancement

The most valuable feature of WALLIX Bastion is its password management capability, which is central to safeguarding sensitive information. The password rotation feature changes passwords after eight sessions, thus protecting both our sessions and assets. Additionally, the workflow feature is unique to WALLIX solutions, enhancing our access security. It is the only solution we found with this feature, making it a distinct choice for our needs.

It is a little too secure in that regard, where they don't even trust their product owner. Since a lot of hacks come from the inside, they are probably doing what they need to do out of necessity. It is just that I have to work pretty hard to produce compliance data on the box."

"The solution's Vault is a nice feature. It helps to securely share a security password in teams, but it is not at the level of a password management solution. So, it is just really a vault. We were expecting to have more features to better manage passwords, but that is something that you can work around if you also have a password safe solution. I would like them to have features like password rotation or password auditing, e.g., old passwords."

"Its management is through two different portals, and you can't get from one portal to the other. I have to literally open up another website and go into it a different way. If you are on a computer that doesn't have the Bomgar console, you should be able to use the web console to provide support. That's the only thing right now. A web console is nice when you're jumping into a computer, but if you need to elevate the privileges, you currently can't do it with the smart card. If they could figure that out, that would be money."

"It would be better if I could manage multiple accounts in one place, like CyberArk. With WALLIX, you can only manage one account, and you are given a separate category. You have to click on each connection to do anything. For example, CyberArk might give three options for one connection if you want to have an interactive user-level experience. But with WALLIX, you have to click three times to get that access. Also, the biggest disadvantage of WALLIX is the reporting. I feel like it's very weak in reporting when compared to the other solutions. As a solution, they're good and stable. But they need to make their reports neater and better. Right now, we're going to the console and then pressing buttons every single time."

I would advise users to take frequent exports of their license usage package; it's a simple feature that provides a spreadsheet of every machine in the Vault. This helps to cut down on duplicate licenses, which can happen by adding the same endpoint using an IP address and a fully qualified domain name, for instance. The implementation is an additional cost, and they offer several tiers, so the price varies. There are also some optional add-ons, so I would advise people to research the product well and find out precisely what they need regarding features. The Advanced Web Access add-on provides some required functionality when interfacing with websites; that's one to consider."
