Admin gets the information about which computer has been infected and good to use for servers and endpoints
The important factor is that after implementing Bitdefender, we haven't found any attacks. It has a vaccine for the RDP protocol, which is specific to this. We do some customization, but it does not lack any protection. Compared to older versions, we have not found any degradation in performance in the newer versions from the last three to five years, whether for graphical or normal users. They're not complaining that we are facing problems like memory issues. Bitdefender is also customizable and granular, but once you install it, it keeps running. The admin gets the information about which computer has been infected and can take action accordingly. On a regular basis, Bitdefender's AI capability is okay. But you cannot leave some decisions to AI. You must have control. You have to look at what you're filtering, as it can be a false positive. But on a regular basis, AI can be helpful.

Our main antivirus tool and offers adaptive threat prevention tool
The technical support needs some improvement. When product distribution errors occur, we have to contact technical support, which is a very tedious and time consuming task. After raising the call onto the technical support portal, usually receive a notification after 24 hours. It usually takes 3 to 4 days to conclude and resolve the issue. If 24/7 online support or a phone line where we could speak directly with technical support for real-time troubleshooting, that would be very helpful. Licensing is another aspect where trellix should look into. Different purchases are grouped together in single user account get mixed up. Categorization of purchases and their grant numbers is not available to end user.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"We use patch management to keep our software up-to-date, significantly mitigating our risk of vulnerabilities. We're confident that Bitdefender GravityZone Enterprise Security will either already know about new threats and have updated our machines, or they'll advise us quickly on mitigating them until an update is available."
"I find Bitdefender to be very light. When we were using the other versions, users would complain that they would make the computers slow. But since we have deployed Bitdefender, we haven't had that."
"The most valuable feature is the IDS."
"The installation is easy and it takes approximately a few hours. We are deploying it from a Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) tool. All you need to do is click on it and the installation is complete."
"We find the protection the solution provides valuable."
"The solution is very scalable."
"Virus scan and the ability to remotely install are valuable features. Being able to manage everything in one place and set different policies and rules for different computer types are very useful features. It also has ransomware protection. It is very simple to use, and it is very effective."
"Security for malware and threats is the most valuable feature."
"What I like most about McAfee MVISION Endpoint is that it's very user-friendly. You do need some knowledge on how to navigate the portal, but as soon as you've gained that knowledge, navigation will no longer be an issue. I have no complaints about McAfee MVISION Endpoint. For me, the product is perfect the way it is. It's great right now, and it's doing good as it is."
"It's a stable solution with good performance."
"It is easy to use, flexible, and stable. Because it is a cloud-based solution and it integrates all endpoints of the cloud, we can do an IOC-based search. It can search the entire enterprise and tell us the endpoints that are possibly compromised."
"The most valuable feature of the solution is its dashboard."
"The features we have found most valuable have been containment as well as the ability to triage agent activities."
"We have a cloud-based instance, so we can deploy all our configurations through the cloud. That's the beauty of FireEye."
"Technical support is excellent."
"I have not received any complaints about the performance."

Cons

"Potential areas for improvement could be more accessible and immediate support for critical situations, especially considering the regulatory challenges in healthcare."
"Machines with low memory and CPU may experience slow performance."
"There are compatibility concerns as Bitdefender does not support Windows 7."
"The risk management tool does not have reporting, which I feel to be a huge mistake."
"The initial setup should be made easier."
"It could be simplified a little bit for firewall rules and blocking specific IP addresses. It would be nice to have an option to upload a CSV or XLSX file of IP addresses to be blacklisted or to be able to specify a range as attempted logins from botnets and people attempting to access network accounts is an increasing issue across the board."
"The price has increased marginally recently and I would prefer if they didn't raise rates."
"The lack of detecting security threats and high memory usage need to be improved."
"They could provide better integration capabilities for the product with other services."
"The initial setup can be a bit complicated for those unfamiliar with the product."
"The solution lacks device control."
"The detection and response capabilities need to be improved."
"If you have another endpoint product running on the same machine, you have to fine tune functions from FireEye to avoid performance and user experience issues."
"It is a very heavy tool, unfortunately."
"It has very good integrations. However, its integration with Palo Alto was not good, and they seem to be working on it at the backend. It is not very resource-hungry, but it can be even better in terms of resource utilization. It could be improved in terms of efficiency, memory sizing, and disk consumption by agents."
"Intrusion detection and intervention seem to be falling behind the competition."

Pricing and Cost Advice

"Its price has gone up since our last renewal. My renewal fee has gone from $517.99 in 2018 for 3 years to $739.99 when it renews this year in July. I love the product, but a price increase of over 40% is a bit exorbitant."
"The license is yearly."
"It has very flexible licensing costs, and it's modular-based."
"The pricing is reasonable when I compare it to other security solutions, particularly Kaspersky, it stands out. It offers an excellent solution at a more favorable price point."
"We purchase the solution for three or five-year intervals. We paid approximately $150 for 10 to 15 users."
"The solution is reasonable and is nominally priced in accordance with the features that offer to the market."
"In India, licensing is based on annual contracts. It's not extremely expensive, but not the cheapest either. I'd rate it somewhere around seven or eight out of ten."
"The licensing costs can vary."
"Pricing for McAfee MVISION Endpoint is not very good, and I would rate its cost three out of five, though I won't be able to mention how much its actual price is."
"Trellix Endpoint Security (ENS) has a reasonable price."
"The current pricing is much better than before because they now offer product-related promotions along with some changes in product licensing. The new pricing model is better than before."
"There's a subscription on a yearly basis. It's not that expensive; it's quite affordable."
"It is a yearly subscription-based product, which includes the license and hardware. There is also a subscription for technical support up to five years."
"The product pricing is high."
"The pricing is mid-ranged and quite reasonable compared to other similar products."
"We had a discount when purchasing the solution because of the size of our company and we are happy with the price."
