Doesn't have daily updates, which is important for healthcare IT
I face challenges with the exclusion policy - it still scans folders we told it not to, causing issues. When we contact support, they tell us to update the latest agent, but we can't do that immediately due to medical device protocols and validation testing. I wish support would try to understand our issues better instead of giving this standard response. The machine learning feature they use often tells us to upgrade the agent or add things to the exclusion list, which isn't unacceptable. It's a very good and new technology as a tool and antivirus. But sometimes, it doesn't work properly with our medical devices and products, quarantining files it shouldn't even after we add them to exclusions. This is tricky for us.

The solution provides endpoint detection and response with a nice-looking dashboard
The solution is easily scalable because it's in the cloud and we can push the agents using our Cafea solution. We can even deploy the applications to our remote branches easily. We currently have four people using the solution and if the number of computers increases we can scale up by increasing the number of licenses.

Quotes from Members

Pros

"The deployment of updates is easy."
"We are quite security-focused. Blackberry Protect as an endpoint solution for our service really delivers what we are expecting."
"CylancePROTECT is very stable - we've had no issues with performance and no errors or bugs."
"The solution’s AI is its most valuable feature."
"Even if an endpoint loses connection to the Internet, I know that endpoint is protected against 99.99% of the threats in the wild today."
"CylancePROTECT is a fairly decent antivirus."
"The Application Guard and ByteGuard are useful features."
"The most valuable feature of CylancePROTECT is the support."
"With Sophos, the scanning of viruses and scanning of the disk is done silently in the background."
"The most valuable feature is the ability to centrally manage the total security environment, including the firewall."
"It is doing its job. We use it for standard antivirus purposes and for making sure that people aren't downloading infected attachments. Because we use the cloud version, it is easy to maintain. We don't have to do anything to really maintain it. It gets updated automatically."
"The solution is useful for security purposes."
"If you want something simple to work with, Sophos makes it very simple for you to use."
"It's very light on the endpoints."

Cons

"It should provide more details about the events that they have detected."
"It is hard to manage."
"CylancePROTECT's dashboard could be more user-friendly."
"The AI of CylancePROTECT has room for improvement. I'm on a trial license of SentinelOne, and its AI is much better than what's on CylancePROTECT."

"The solution could be improved in terms of the performance of the appliances. Sometimes the appliances in the market can be quite large. Additionally, in comparison to other appliances, such as FortiGate, Cisco Firepower, or ASA, it could be improved in terms of package processing or traffic handling."

"Sophos is cheaper than some competing products."
"The product is inexpensive, and we receive good discount offers from our product partners."
"Price-wise, it is cheap. We need to pay 1,500 to 2,000 INR per user...On a scale of one to ten, where one is very cheap, and ten is very expensive, I rate the pricing a three out of ten."
