Facilitates monitoring and control of our repositories, but would benefit from the inclusion of workflows

Collaborative work has transformed team retrospectives and now saves us major planning time
I do not think that there is any improvement needed in Microsoft OneDrive for Business because a lot of features are already provided in the package that we have purchased, and we do not have anything that would be improved as of now. Speed-wise, Microsoft OneDrive for Business is very fast. Sometimes I think the auto-save feature of the things that we edit should also work in offline mode for some time, because once we get disconnected, I sometimes feel that the Excel or the Word document is trying to connect to Microsoft OneDrive for Business and trying to save it, but somehow the sessions expire. I sometimes want this to not happen. It can reconnect to the server when connection is up, but I can still work on the document.

Quotes from Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros

"The most valuable features are the ability to revoke rights after sending the document, and shoulder browsing protection."
"All of our different repositories of documents, like SharePoint and Box, were linked to Workspaces to ensure that sharing content was monitored, controlled, and secure."
"It gives you access to important files from virtually anywhere."
"The best features in Microsoft OneDrive are that it makes the files available from around the world, so users are not tied to a computer."
"It helps you keep organized."
"The advice I would give people considering OneDrive starts with the fact that everybody can use it."
"We have the Microsoft Office 365 solution and OneDrive is one of the products included."
"The advantage with Microsoft OneDrive for Business storage is that wherever you are, your data is available on that machine, so your work effectively moves to the other machine once it is saved in Microsoft OneDrive for Business."
"It's quite easy to use and then of course it is quite well integrated to the rest of Office 365."
"The integration aspect is very impressive; I love that I can share and appreciate the whole aspect of the product."

Cons

"I would like to see workflow implementation, as well as a lite version for non-business users."
"The user interface could be a little more intuitive and user friendly."
"An increase in the capacity of storage in the free version would be nice."
"If you are using it strictly for your local machines — as a sole backup — it is not a good idea."
"Sometimes I think the auto-save feature of the things that we edit should also work in offline mode for some time, because once we get disconnected, I sometimes feel that the Excel or the Word document is trying to connect to Microsoft OneDrive for Business and trying to save it, but somehow the sessions expire."
"The security is not as flexible as it is with Dropbox, which means that we can't share our OneDrive files."
"An online video player would be great, since sometimes you have to download the video to play it."
"Technical support is not very impressive and is typical of large company software support."
"It takes too long for OneDrive to synchronize various applications, especially when you are saving office data. It also requires too much bandwidth."

"The price of Microsoft OneDrive is reasonable and compatible with competitors."

"OneDrive comes with Microsoft 365 so it is just an added part of that package."
"We pay a lot for the Enterprise version, but it is a premium service."
"Using this software, it has had an amazing impact moneywise on our business. It allows us to share documents without the need of extra hardware."
